When a few months went by with a photo, a sketch and an audio, I started to think that same thing. I did not live in the Mid-West growing up, but in LA and TX. I would spend a part of the summer at my grandmother's in the Mid-West. If I went back 15-20 years later, I could find most of the areas I frequented. But hardly anyone except my grandmother's nearest neighbors on nearby farms would remember me and most certainly no one in the nearby towns recognized me.

That may be the case here. If BG did have relatives in the Delphi area and they are deceased or have moved, then BG may have not visited frequently in the past few years.

But why would he be back then?

I cant help but feel that the POI wore the earflap hat to cover his ears for reasons other than warmth,

another piece.

you cant prove it but it fits.

IMO

I'm not following what you mean?

My heart is really heavy tonight. I never ever thought, based on that first presser where they seemed so sure that nobody had anything to worry about, we would still be here one year later with no arrests. It boggles my mind. :(

I'm so sad for these girls and their families :(. Was this the "perfect murder?"

LE is assuming someone knows BG. A fair assumption but not meaning much, imo. Of course people know him but maybe not that he could be BG. They are trying to make people think. It doesn’t mean LE has any idea of anything specific. Jmo

I totally agree. I think they have no clue :(. I think they had an assumption in the beginning that they were pretty sure about (no idea what that was), and it totally did not pan out, and they wasted precious time banking on it. I think they have NO clue now. :(

But why would he be back then?

Maybe a wedding or funeral in Delphi around that time brought him back home and either he was there then and did this during that visit or he returned a bit later. Someone passed away and BG was around for the funeral and maybe returned for sale of the property or estate settlement? IDK! Wish they would release new sketch tmro with the hat drawn AS SEEN by the witness!

Friends, classmates and family of Abby Williams and Libby German, two Delphi Community Middle School eighth-graders killed one year ago, will gather Tuesday evening for a vigil to mark the one-year anniversary of their deaths and the unsolved case.

The families have asked the media to steer clear.

[FONT=&quot]Finding Abby and Libby’s killer remains a top priority as the investigation enters its second year and detectives are using every resource available to help them solve the crime, that includes asking outside law enforcement agencies to review their case.

[FONT=&quot]Call 6 Investigates has learned that Delphi investigators have asked the Georgia Bureau of Investigations and agents from other FBI field offices to look over the case with a fresh set of eyes in and offer recommendations in the hopes of finding the missing puzzle piece that will help them solve the crimes. I’m sure it’s been suggested but could the same suspect have also killed Lyric Cook and Elizabeth Collins?

That possibility was covered in MSM but eventually LE said they didn't believe it was the same killer.

Personally, I've always thought it was very possible. The two sets of girls look alike, both were taken in broad daylight and found deceased in similar areas.

Thank you for the informed answer.

I’m thinking of Abigail and Liberty’s families today as well as law enforcement and the other agencies involved in their case. Thank you to everyone here for caring that justice is done.

BG wherever you are your days as a free man are numbered, one day you will be led away in handcuffs and your life will be over.

“Nations was extradited back to Indiana, but police are still not calling him a suspect and have not made any public attempt to connect him further to the crime.”

The different wording from various media reports is so confusing. The above quote from the Indy Channel uses different wording but what does it mean?

“Still not calling him a suspect” and “have not made any public attempt.” The words “still” and “public” caught my attention.

It means he’s not a suspect nor will he be anymore then the hundreds of other poi’s that LE has come across.

people in general need to stop trying to reinvent the wheel

It’s one thing if it was inaccurate due to lack of witness recognition, but to deliberately change it because they think it will make him more recognizable was a mistake. IMO
Everyone was told about the hat at the time but nobody listened. They just had to talk about the hat.

I know what you mean. The language is deceptive. By saying no "public" connection hints there could be a private one, while saying "still" not calling him a suspect indicates he may be called one later. Sort of keeping him on the back burner almost.

AJMO of course.

Everyone was told about the hat at the time but nobody listened. They just had to talk about the hat.

I would hardly say that "nobody" listened. Many times several posters tried to reroute the conversation by reminding folks that LE said to ignore the hat. The conversation continued.

Still, the posted article is an interesting one and worth making note of. Originally, we were told to overlook the hat. People were speculating as to why we were told to ignore it. They also continued to fixate on the type of hat, insistent that it was a rare kind that hardly anyone wore (which is not true; they're insanely popular at the moment).

LE should have had the sketch artist depict the actual hat that BG was wearing, or else not put one on him at all. Once you've seen something, it's hard to unsee it and, as another poster pointed out, it could have led to someone in BG's life ignoring the sketch altogether because the hat didn't look like something he would wear.
