Police searched the area on Weinbach near I-69 again yesterday and found bones but they were deer bones according to admin post on FB group. Gotta wonder what info they have if they're searching this area again.

Edited to add: Apparently one of Aleah's grandmothers called in the tip that lead to this search. I wonder which grandmother submitted the tip...

Cara did an interview on this podcast about Aleah. It starts about 8 minutes 40 seconds in, you can skip forward using the black bar at the top of the page.

I'm listening right now and so far she's still pointing the finger at the ex that she's been trying to pin it on since the beginning.

Really liking the podcast aside from that, these ladies are asking some good questions.

Debra Wollner was only in front of a judge for a few minutes Monday, ultimately setting another hearing a couple weeks away.

Wollner was initially scheduled to stand trial Monday but it was canceled ahead of time and instead categorized as a pretrial hearing.

Wollner will next face her charges of conspiracy to commit criminal confinement and confinement with a deadly weapon on February 21.

Group admin shared a petition and looking it over, there's a lot of previously unknown/unstated information. Most of it sounds mighty fishy, whoever wrote this is throwing EPD under the bus now and even telling some some things about the family like saying they didn't even talk to the neighbors in over 6 months! :what:

This Marco Roach is just bad news IMO. I still think he is the key to all this- directly or indirectly ( more likely indirectly). I just hope LE gets some movement on this case.

If the details in that petition are actually true how does it tie in with DW kidnapping and beating a false confession out of someone?

Probably from point #3 on the petition:

3. The same suspect brags to one of his best friends and a possible accomplice that he is in good with the lead detective downtown. He allegedly brags that he will not serve near as much time as he should for his current incarceration on drug related charges because he is buddies with said detective. He also brags that he gave only a half viable alibi and celebrates that he passed his polygraph. He is known to educate others on how to easily pass a polygraph and this testimony comes from multiple sources including his own friends and family.

DW found the "best friend" who allegedly the "suspect" bragged to and beat him until he "confessed" what he "knew."

The "half viable alibi" that I've heard is that this "suspect" was at the casino at the time Aleah went missing. Now that is hearsay and hasn't been stated by anyone who can verify it (police, etc) but if that were the alibi, it's very easily proven true or false given how many cameras there are at that casino and there's only 1 entrance/exit unless he swam out and climbed aboard the boat, lol.

Yeah, I've been thinking the same thing lately. I remember that when I read about his arrest for shooting inside the home that he was yelling about two men coming to get him (source). Guilty conscience maybe? I thought I had read that he specifically mentioned M (the "suspect" referred to in the petition) but I can't find a source anywhere. At any rate, there are some big puzzle pieces missing in this whole story.

And let's not forget that Demarco is now in federal custody. I wonder when/if we'll hear what is coming out of that...

Thank you, this case makes far more sense to me now. What a complete mess, I just feel so sorry for all the children in this family.

Woman pleads guilty to role in false-confession beating
http://www.courierpress.com/story/n...uilty-role-false-confession-beating/98352654/

Debra Wollner, 51, will be sentenced to three years on electronic home detention as part of a plea agreement reached with the Vanderburgh County Prosecutor's Office.

Appearing in Circuit Court on Friday, Wollner pleaded guilty to battery by means of a deadly weapon; criminal confinement using a vehicle; and criminal confinement with bodily injury, all level 5 felonies.

Defense attorney Barry Blackard said the remaining five charges will be dismissed, including two level 3 felonies for which she could have received up to 16 years if convicted.

So her laywer turned the possibility of up to 16 years in jail into 3 years of house arrest? Holy crap. Either he's really, really good or she had a lot of stories to tell for a plea agreement. The man who was convicted in this case had far fewer charges and he got a year in jail.

Two women accused of beating a man to try to force a false confession in the Aleah Beckerle disappearance learned their punishments on Thursday.

Thursday morning, Debra Wollner was sentenced to three years home detention in Vanderburgh Circuit Court.

Thursday afternoon, Donna Robertson was sentenced to serve 105 days in jail for a prior violation and she will have three years of home detention.

Speechless .... What about Aleah??

Me too. Something stinks here. 3 people kidnap a man and beat him into a false confession. All 3 plead guilty but 2 get house arrest and the other gets a YEAR in prison (source). What gets me is that the two who received the lesser sentence both had more charges so I really have to wonder why they got a lesser sentence. I REALLY hope they gave up some info to help find Aleah but I have my doubts. :(
