Those must be some cameras if they can tell part of his hoodie was suede. That gives me hope he will be identified quickly.

ETA: also...it sounds like he was really trying to cover his face, so maybe he is aware of all the cameras? Could he be from, or a regular visitor to the neighborhood?

LOTS of cameras per LE.

They've got video streets away even!

They even have him on the Blackburn residence porch.

Witnesses spotted a man in the neighborhood that morning who was also caught by surveillance video standing on the Blackburn's front porch near the time of her murder.

He may have thought about cameras being possible, but I'd suspect it'd equally be not wanting a passing car to ID him or a neighbor walking the dog or getting the paper or whatever.

From earlier articles...

Around 8:35 a.m Tuesday, Indianapolis police responded to reports of an assault. Blackburn's husband told police he found his wife unconscious on the floor.

Police say three hours before the victim was found, a nearby house was hit by a burglar who took electronics and other valuables.

Could be an individual who has done work for homeowners in the neighborhood.

Stolen, of course!

According to sources within IMPD, Blackburn was shot three times. Sources say the suspect was in a stolen vehicle and later ditched that vehicle at 40th and Rookwood.

Not sure what's up with the three GSWs in that quote?

The coroner said a single one.

The Marion County coroner said Amanda Grace Blackburn died of a single gunshot to the head and ruled her death a homicide.

perhaps it was the gunshot wound to the head that the coroner is referring to as cause of death.

Torso shot and hand shot would not have killed her?

Police: Suspect in killing of pastor's wife seen on surveillance
By Crimesider Staff CBS/AP November 13, 2015, 12:13 PM

[...]

Police believe that a burglar or burglars entered the other house around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday and took televisions and laptop computers, which they believe were put into a dark colored SUV.

Investigators believe the suspect then saw Davey Blackburn leaving his home about 40 minutes later. A neighbor reported hearing gunshots at about 6:45.

"We believe that the people saw this as a home where they could get in and take some things. It just so happens that Amanda was home ... and she was murdered," said Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Capt. Craig Converse.

He said that one suspect was seen on security cameras walking near the Blackburns' home.

What do you make of the coroner saying a single one to the head?

Sounds like gunshot wounds consistent with a struggle for the first 2 shots. Third was an execution.

I wish this was surprising/shocking, but sadly it's not anymore. And people wonder why young men in hoodies get profiled.

There was a previous story on either WISHTV or WTHR's website clearly said 'shot in the back of the head' while she was still alive, but it has completely disappeared from MSM. I know I saw it.

That was a quote from a neighbor:

Harris said, “My neighbor told me. I didn’t know who it was and then he showed me a picture of her. I said, ‘Oh man! I just talked to her about two weeks ago in the neighborhood walking.’ I said, ‘Oh man! Really?!’ I was just shocked. And he said, ‘Yeah, she got shot in the back of the head.'” Harris also said, “I’m very, very heartbroken.”

I think nonbelievers can't really understand the peace that overcomes a believer during times of sorrow. I in no way mean that to sound haughty. Pastors normally "wax eloquent" as their lives are spent speaking and encouraging others. Many of them write books and blog. Yes, his statement was wordy, but I don't think he sounds insincere. He is a young man and may have a support system that he wanted to connect with in this way. Maybe he was in shock. Maybe he was drawing on his deeply held beliefs and thus felt some comfort.

Romans 8:28King James Version (KJV)

28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Very well said and I agree. In addition, I sensed that he was trying to comfort others with the comfort he had received from "the God of all comfort who comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NIV--New International Version)

I still remember the beautiful letter Whitney Heichel's mother wrote, expressing her faith and trying to comfort others after Whitney's murder. The strength she showed was not strange to me at all.
