If he came back on foot. Then he had a solo agenda. Which could mean rape. But the police would have mentioned that. So maybe he wanted a personal score to keep the money for himself.

I didn't know he came back on foot. He was obviously on a mission but got there too early and had to come back. But the driver may had decided not to be apart of that. Idk

Dex.....great to 'see' you.

I respectfully disagree about the police telling the public that Amanda was raped. I have seen several cases where that wasn't mentioned at first but did come out later.... either when the charges were filed or when it went to trial.

I think Bessie is right and there were probably two of them. These home invaders are striking more and more either early morning or when it is right in the middle of the day. They seem to have changed their MO and instead of doing them in the middle of the night or when they know for sure no one was home. Now they don't seem to care if there are victims inside or not. They come prepared with a weapon just in case. It seems violent perpetrators are getting bolder and bolder and have no fear of taking high risks. Maybe its due to heavy drug usage.

A couple of years ago an elderly couple's home was invaded and the suspects (2) turned out to be college students who were popular football players. Both of them had guns with them but the elderly man was able to grab his shotgun and he shot and killed one of them, and the other one shot at the gentleman's wife but missed, and fled out the backdoor. It was done around 9am in the morning.

So there is not a certain time anymore for when they will strike. They do it when the opportunity is right for them. Imo, he saw Davey leaving so he took that opportunity to go in and even get more stolen goods from the Blackburn home. Thieves like him probably think two burglaries in one morning will result in a good haul. Gah.

Most of the recent home invasions in our surrounding communities have had at least two or more criminals who forced their way into a home. Many of them have had female accomplices.

IMO

The thing that is difficult for me to understand is the gun.
If you are attempting to rob empty homes, do you usually arm yourself?
I understand a bank robbery or even a convenience store, you know you will be confronted.
Maybe they got the gun at the first robbery.

I am in hopes that the interviews in the future have more to do with Amanda and / or the investigation and Justice for her than about the Church and "the good that will be coming". I have not seen a situation like this where every webpage states that and just below a "donate now" button. I guess I am old fashioned and don't get the mega church appeal.

A 50" flatscreen will fit in the back of a midsize SUV with the backseat lying down flat. I can't imagine them getting 3 other TV's (and more) in there with it though.
Actually, it was two other TV's and a laptop. We don't know the size of the other two TV's. They might have been smallish. A laptop can fit anywhere. And remember, too, that the frint seat might have been empty.

I know that we moved half my son's apartment in a mid-size SUV last year, including a 43" (45?") flat screen, without using the front seat. It can be done.

Detectives pleading for more tips in Amanda Blackburn homicide
6:02 PM, Nov 16, 2015

INDIANAPOLIS -- Detectives are pleading for more tips to help catch whoever killed Amanda Blackburn, the pregnant wife of a pastor at an Indianapolis church.

Police have said they have a photo of the potential killer of the 28-year-old, but have not yet released it. Still, they are seeking more tips to help find the person responsible.

"(Even) if it's something you don't think is valuable, call," Crime Stoppers Detective Specialist Tim Conley said.

Conley is one of four people who work in the Central Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana bureau.

"This is a heinous crime that occurred in our city. This is an unspeakable crime," Conley said.

This has been bothering me. It was stated that the first home that was robbed (a few doors down or across the fence) was unoccupied and yet it had security cameras that captured the robbery. Please correct me if I am wrong. So - the "out of town" occupants of that home had security cameras, but they did NOT have burglar alarms? Or they neglected to set those alarms. It just seems odd to me that you would have security cameras yet no alarm system. We do not have any kind of alarm system or cameras so I would like to ask. Is it normal to have one without the other? Would these ****s be smart enough to know how to turn off an alarm? If so, what is the point of having them?

We lived in a neighborhood that was burglarized about 8 years ago. It ended up being a team of two. One man was on foot. He snuck up to the houses/sheds and took the items. Chain saws, tools, equipment. As he left the house, he put the stolen items in the ditch or culvert and moved on to the next house. His partner drove around later in a vehicle and retrieved the items. This way, they could hit multiple houses without getting weighted down.

In our neighborhood about three years ago a very attractive....nicely dressed young female came to my door around noon. I have a strong security door that has thick glass so I can see who is at the door without unlocking it. She seemed so unassuming. I really thought she was in college perhaps. She was around 20 just guessing. She had some papers in her hand so I felt safe enough and opened the door. When I did I noticed she had strangely parked her white vehicle at the very end of our driveway and walked all the way up to our home.. which no one ever does. I also noticed there were two guys about her age with her. One was in the passenger seat and one was in the backseat. All of a sudden I felt something wasn't just right but remained cool. She asked me if I knew anyone who was elderly in our neighborhood who was deaf and also saying she was wanting to inform them about government programs they could obtain free. Oh, she was very good, and so polished. She had it all down pat. She wanted to come inside to discuss it with me but I just kept standing on the porch, listening. I really thought she was legitimate and I am not one to trust a stranger at my door.

My mind at the time went blank for the moment and thank goodness I told her I didn't know anyone. But another neighbor fell for it and told her Mr. C down the road had serious hearing problems. Mr, and Mrs. C lived alone and are in their late 70s. The next day she came to their home and they let her inside so that she could tell Mrs. C about the programs. So she sits there and talks and talks with them keeping them occupied and meantime the other two males had come in their backdoor and snuck down the hallway. They stole money, guns, and jewelry out of their bedroom. They didn't even know it until they started to bed that night. I gave the police a description of the young woman and the car she was driving. She had made sure her tag was where I couldn't see it and she parked so far away so I couldn't get a good look at the males. imo

I never knew if they caught them or not. Now fast forward to last year. The same young woman came to my door again. This time I did not open the door and yelled through the door that I couldn't open the door because of my two dogs and believe me they were growling and barking like crazy.:D She finally left when she knew I wasn't going to open the door. But I did pick up the phone and dialed 911 to ask them if they ever found the ones who went into Mr and Mrs Cs home three years ago. They checked and they had not been able to locate them all that time. I told them if they had a Deputy close by he would be able to stop her before she and the two males left our subdivision. Before I knew it I heard the sirens and they pulled her over.

And we live in a very safe neighborhood but bad people can be anywhere and are nowadays.

IMO

But, during the press conference, didn't LE say something along the lines of "Why would you steal something from a dead person?" I can't find the exact quote, but to me, that establishes that something was taken from the Blackburns' home.

Why are they pleading for help, but not releasing the photo!!!!!
Because the photo probably looks like every average-to-tall teenage; short-to-average adult; slim-to-medium built; light-to-medium skinned, African American man in Indianapolis wearing a hoodie in November.

There it is about GMA at the bottom of the article:
"LIVE TUESDAY on Good Morning America: Davey Blackburn will discuss the case with the national ABC News crew. Tune in to RTV6 at 7 a.m. to watch that, with a preview to the Blackburn case on Good Morning Indiana before that at 6 a.m."

Why are they pleading for help, but not releasing the photo!!!!!

I think they are having to walk a very slippery slope. There are countless short/slim black men who fits the description of the killer in Indy. They may not have an image that clearly shows his identifiable facial features.

And really they would be far better off if someone who knows him calls in a tip before his photo is shown. Someone he may have bragged to about killing the Pastor's wife or someone he offloaded the goods to if it can be done anonymously. Then the police will take it from there. They have already said that evidence was left at the scene. I imagine that is some type of DNA of the suspect's. This way later on the defense attorney cant claim they only arrested him (whomever) because of the image they put out. Even if the killer is arrested the defense will still say their client isn't guilty and was just arrested because someone thought he looked like the image putout. Eye witnesses are raked over the coals by defense lawyers anyway.

So I understand why they are going at this very carefully. They don't want anyone who may be innocent to get hurt or be falsely accused if they may favor the suspect.

So a valid verifiable tip or tips are far more important than a photo because eye witness identification can be faulty.

If they know his skin color, does that mean they have a face shot? Or his hands?

We need more neighbors like you my friend. I tell my kids; The best way not to get robbed or taken from the home is by not opening the dang door. Someone up thread posted a link to a video where a female was at the door with 2 men in masks hiding by the porch. Good thing the lady didn't open the door.

But I bet her tax dollars were used to supply them with food stamps and low income housing. Jmo
