I always speculated that rape was a possibility since I know what my wife will usually have on at that time of morning.

And that is another reason why I lock both locks before leaving in the morning.

Then the driver can't be held accountable.

Now I am not saying that the driver didn't leave. But I am saying that no means no. So if the driver told him that he/she is not proceeding further because they don't want to or they have other plans for the day.

Then you can't hold them accountable for a forced situation that was out of their hands once they said no.

No, I'm not kidding. I'm an attorney (unverified at WS) who used to work in criminal defense. More to the point, you don't have to believe me, but you can read the links I'm providing about the felony murder rule and how it works.

The rape analogy doesn't work - an accomplice can't just say "no" at any point. Actual, tangible steps must be taken to detach themselves from the previously agreed-upon conspiracy. Saying no or just leaving the scene when it gets too hot for them doesn't get them out of the felony murder charges. That's not how the felony murder LAW is structured. It's not my opinion. It's actual, tangible law in 46 states.

Heartbreaking to realize what Amanda endured during her attack. Her last minutes on earth were horrific.
So terribly sorry to learn this happened to this beautiful young mother.

I know criminals aren't known for their incredible intelligence, but I would hope that they would assume the next morning is a little bit too soon after their last spree included murder? I'd think they would lay low for a bit?

Thanks. I just feel that if they both planned the first one. And then after that the driver said no to the 2nd one and left.

Then the driver wasn't in cahoots with the 2nd one and shouldn't be responsible for that crime. Especially if he left the guy behind. But the guy decided to do a solo mission.


Now let's say that me and you are robbing stores. And you decide that it was a good run and you are going home and you are done for the day.

Now let's say I decide to let you leave and go on my own path of butchery and blundering.

Should you still be held accountable for something that I did after you left. Just asking?


Some teens commit crimes together. But if you go home for the night; Then you are not responsible for what I did the next morning or hour later. Jmo.

You will only be responsible for the things that we did when we were together at the scene on a joined tasked. Jmo

One would think so. I've long stopped trying to make sense of the rationale used by most criminals today, because there is none. That said, I'm not fully convinced the crime on the 11th is relarted to the previous day's crimes.

Why would anyone choose to move to such an area? Choose to stay?
 
Wow. I mean....rape and murder are such drastic things to add on to your career as a burglar. Maybe naive of me, but I just always assumed they wanted your stuff...not you. If these crimes are related, I wonder what could have triggered the suspect to rape and shoot AGB 3 times, yet let the woman in the other home lay peacefully asleep?

Nothings impossible, but such an odd...and extremely sad... discovery in this case.

I think the guy seen her before and he decided to head back for a solo mission once he knew the coast was clear. Jmo.

But I don't think the others wanted anything to do with his plans. So they probably told him that he is pathetic and on his own. Jmo.

But failure to report a premeditated rape and murder is a crime. So I hope they all get life. Jmo
