Her husband, local pastor Davey Blackburn, told police he got home from the gym and found his home broken into and his wife on the ground. He called 911 and rushed her to a hospital.

You are right. The 50 posts about how the cars are parked in said picture truly doesn't have anything to do with the murder. I just mentioned my same feelings in my last post.

Thanks. We are pretty much on the same page. But since the case is at a stand still. I can't blame others for spending a little time to discuss the suv or how the cars are parked.

I just wonder why the police haven't stated when the perps stolen car was originally reported stolen.

I truly think that the owner of the stolen suv is related to to the guy who did the crime. And I truly think that the person reported the vehicle stolen after they figured out that their family member was probably responsible for this crime. Jmo

If the (911) caller gave the operator any reason to believe there had been a crime committed, I believe the operator would've dispatched IFD and IMPD simultaneously.

The case began when IMPD officers were dispatched to a home in the 2800 block of Sunnyfield Court to assist Indianapolis Fire Department crews after it was determined a woman at the residence had been assaulted.

Arriving officers found the unresponsive woman inside the home with "apparent signs of trauma," police said. However, according to an IMPD report, the "woman was shot."

Emergency medical personnel then transported Blackburn to IU Health Methodist Hospital.

It doesn't give us an answer on whose vehicle it is though. Ems wasn't called until 8:32 and the sun was up by then so this is likely that evening. By then, family could have been there, friends, someone at the house watching the baby, etc.

I don't know how long they've lived there but Google maps shows two red vehicles in front of their house. One in the driveway and one parked oddly in the cul de sac so it's possible it's not a Blackburn vehicle. It's also possible the photo is from before they lived at the residence.

OT. BTw. Does Ws have a media license to maybe have talk shows with other killers that are locked up from other cases.

I would love for Ws to have access to interview criminals from big cases on the radio show or a Websleuth public access cable channel.

So imo. We need to be a media outlet in order to interview criminals for cases that is and has shocked us. Jmo

Things have slowed down a bit so I thought I would ask a question about something I wonder about.

Somewhere in time I think I read that a lot of the families on that block put in security systems because of something that happened several years ago.

I have heard it referred to a couple of times but have no link.

Does anybody happen to know if anything did happen in that neighborhood to cause homeowners to spend the money on security systems.

Oh, I really, really hope this doesn't mean sexual assault. Hopefully it's just that she fought like heck and got DNA under her fingernails or somehow drew blood.
 
Maybe the guy with the drooping pants walking down the street has nothing to do with the murder, maybe he was just some guy that happened to be walking there at that time. He didn't seem in a hurry, just chilling talking on the phone.
 
It was just reported on ABC World News with David Muir that LE considers the gun found in the area to be a new clue and are checking for matches. No link yet.

LE didn't just release a photo of some random guy walking down the street. They have other video of the guy and eyewitness accounts.

There is video of him inside the burglarized house. Video of him on two streets. Eyewitnesses saw him on the Blackburn's porch.

Bear with me I'm just now reading thru the threads and maybe this is answered already or ahead but why would the driver of the SUV and the individual walking split up even if the intent is to commit another burglary? Assuming they were together that is. :fence:

"At approximately 6:00 there was a camera from west of the burglarized home that captured a dark colored SUV driving quickly down the street.

Approximately one minute later that vehicle was then seen leaving.

There were TV's and laptops that were taken that were sizable, that would lead us to believe they were likely loaded into a vehicle to be removed from the area.

We've talked about how crowded the SUV would be with a 50" flat screen and a couple other televisions and laptops. My guess would be either the SUV was going to be unloaded and return to take away another haul; or the suspect left behind was going to look for small items, like cash and jewelry, that he could walk away with.
