When the story was originally posted, it didn't include the denial. It simply said a high ranking source said she was sexually molested. After the story started to spread, the PD issued an iffy denial and the story was revised.

The fact that "this information may change, but at this time..." makes me wonder if info was made known that LE wasn't ready to release yet.

I pray that whatever happened was brief and painless.

Metro police spoke with four persons of interest as they continue to investigate the murder of an Indianapolis mother.

In a statement Thursday, IMPD said, "Investigators continue to follow up on all investigative leads in the murder of Amanda Blackburn. We continue to talk with individuals who may have some knowledge of the case."

Blackburn was found shot in the head inside her home a week ago last Tuesday in what police believe was an attempted burglary. She died the next day from her injuries, leaving behind her husband, Pastor Davey Blackburn with the Resonate Church, and a young son. Amanda Blackburn was about 12 weeks pregnant with the couple's daughter.

Police believe the murder came after a second burglary in the northwest Indianapolis subdivision. Eyewitness News has learned someone used one of the 28-year-old mother's bank cards at a gas station at W. 71st Street and Michigan Road. There is also surveillance video from an ATM of someone using Amanda's bank card.

Crime scene investigators processed the Blackburns' home for evidence twice.

"To the individual who committed this crime, you are not as good as you think you are...got away with it, but you left something behind and we will find you, we are coming to get you," IMPD Asst. Commander Eric Hench said at a news conference last week.

This is going to turn out to be some really dumb criminals. One of these clowns was using her Debit card at different locations right after she was murdered. (Of course, we have to assume he knew his buddy just murdered her, don't we ? )

To clear up some confusion I have seen here, Amanda was shot on Tuesday, Nov 10, a Tuesday. That is the same date that the house in northeast Indy, where the burglars are shown on camera at 5:30am inside the house, was burgled.

I doubt the suspects seen in that family room on video could have simultaneously been burgling (is that a word?) the house 2 doors away from Amanda's house, since that also happened at 5:30am, per the cops.

According to police, several suspects broke into a home in the 5700 block of San Clemente Drive around 5:30 Tuesday morning while the residents slept.

To tell you the truth. All 4 should get life in jail. Because home invasions are similar to terrorist attacks.

So all 4 should be charged with terror crimes since all home invasions and burglaries usually leave good people to feel terror either during or after the fact.

Btw. Imo. Home invaders are all rapists as well. Maybe not sexually. But definitely from an humanitarian stand point. Jmo

He's still saying a sexual assault took place, although one media outlet has redacted that and there have been official denials by some of the investigators. I don't know what to think anymore about that.
