Hagan trial continues Monday

Hagan admitted he found Halee's phone in his car and he went to Halee's apartment with her phone. He said she wasn't there but her car was. He also said Halee told him he was coming home. He left shortly after and ditched her phone because he got scared.

The FBI official told Hagan, "it was a mistake and I know you recognize that and you can't undo it."

Hagan responded, "I did not kill Halee. I would never hurt her."

JH is on the stand and she is currently pleading the 5th to all questions.
The defense is asking questions about the death of Jordan’s baby Jaxson Wheeler which she teared up on. Jordan cited her 5th amendment right. Defense also asked about her relations with Halee to which she also cited her 5th amendment right.

Why did JH pleas the fifth to all the questions she was asked. Sorry if I missed her having s9me potential involvement or something. Or is she just protecting the father of the baby that was killed? (Mom was Halee’s friend?)

I'm not 100% sure but can't you only invoke the 5th amendment if answering would incriminate you? As in, it doesn't cover incriminating someone else.

My guess is that Halee, IH, JH, etc were all involved with drugs and that's why she is pleading the fifth.

The State objected to the question and that’s when Mark Phillips just came out and said what Det. Kruse was told by Sarah Riester —-> that Rathegeber was going to meet Thaddious Rice at Alcoa.

I think the defense would like you to believe it’s a fiasco and they are trying their darndest to make it a circus! Honestly I think it’s pretty straight forward. We shall see what the jury thinks. Remember most of the hearsay that has been mentioned has been outside of the jury’s presence. Moo

They did hear the thing about Riester saying Halee was going to meet Rice at Alcoa

I should have said, the defense (Phillips) is a fiasco. He seems to be grasping at straws.

Ya that’s true, but I think the nail was actually ih mom testifying that ih admitted that he shot halee on accident. Moo

That's a big one, but is there any proof or enough for a jury to convict him?

I think when it’s all put together yes. Admitted to being with her at acloa, towels at Hagan home same make and color as the one found at crime scene. Ih had her phone and keys. Ih went to her apartment to get concert tickets, ih took money from halee. Ih coincidentally owed his dad money. Gun missing from parent house. Not to mention what friend drops a female that supposedly they care about out in the country, pitch black and alone with no phone or keys?Just imo hearsay about someone else meeting halee doesn’t out weigh ih mom saying he admitted to accidentally shooting her. I think jury won’t even blink. And imo defense attorney has done more harm than good in this case! All Jmo

.
The Defensive is not grasping at straws. The judge is allowing the D.A. to reference cell phone evidence via integration video that the defense is not allowed to use.
