It has a clearer description of the events. The house they ran to was her aunt's.

This article has the name and address of the crime victim. I'm not going to repeat them here, but you can go look for yourselves. http://www.nwitimes.com/news/local/...cle_5cb10408-ce9c-5a61-8015-a4591725dcd1.html

Just catching up:

""We can guarantee she is not with either parent, and she may possibly be in extreme danger," said Lt. Dawn Westerfield, Gary Police Department.

Chastinea Reeves was last seen at about 2 a.m. Monday in the 2000-block of Maine Street at her aunt's house where she went after her mother was the victim of a crime, police said."

Snip

"Police said it was immediately unclear if the crime against her mother was related to her disappearance. It was also unknown whether she was walking, in a car, alone or with another person.
Police said she was not with her parents and did not attend school on Monday."

The school Chastinea went to has not been reference has it? (I don't know if I missed it or if the info is just not out there.)

Teleka Patrick case has amateur sleuths taking lead role in public disclosures
http://www.mlive.com/news/kalamazoo/index.ssf/2014/01/teleka_patrick_case_has_amateu.html

"KALAMAZOO, MI --*By time the media reported some of the most shocking developments in the*Teleka Patrick*disappearance case -- the online videos, her apparent obsession with Grand Rapids minister Marvin Sapp, the deleted Twitter posts -- it was old news to people such as Brooke Pearson in Virginia and Diahanna Kinley in Ohio.

They are among amateur detectives from across the country who have delved into the Patrick case onwebsleuths.com, a online forum to discuss missing-person cases and brainstorm about clues to finding the victims.

Since Patrick's Dec. 5 disappearance, Websleuth members -- largely composed of true-crime-story fanatics -- have gone to work tracking Patrick's social media footprints.*

In recent weeks, they've uncovered her*online videos, figured out her various Twitter handles, discovered how to retrieve*thousands of deleted Twitter posts, and analyzed the 20,000 Twitter posts to determine which were most relevant and important -- developments picked up and reported by the mainstream media.

Websleuthers even figured out the*Kalamazoo doctor's apparent obsession with Sappdays before that development was made public.

"We were ahead of everybody on this," said Tricia Griffith, co-owner of the website. "Although it's not me, it's our wonderful members. ... It's like having a gigantic worldwide research department at your fingertips."

Although Websleuths tracks dozens of missing-person cases nationwide, Griffith said the Patrick case is one of the most compelling she's seen in years."

"KALAMAZOO, MI*-- After laboriously retrieving thousands of Twitter posts written by*Dr. Teleka Patrick, the Kalamazoo medical resident who disappeared Dec. 5, amateur sleuths turned to a friend, Keith Komos, to assemble the tweets into a reader-friendly format.

An IT specialist at the University of Houston, Komos organized the 20,000 posts into chronological order and put them into a single document, which was posted online at*websleuths.com." )

Sorry for the O/T, back to Chastinea!!!

The map says the distance from her mom's to her aunt's is just under a mile. Why did she have to go so far to call 911?

I'm wondering if maybe she was told not to call 911 by the offender?

What about something along the lines of xtinea or something along those lines.. like how people put xmas instead instead of Christmas? Idk lol

Okay, I couldn't sleep so I got back up to go searching again. Thank you go everyone who helped me out with ideas!

I found:
-Chastinea is referred to as "Chas" by her mother evidenced by 2 cakes related to 2 separate celebratory occasions.
-No other SM accounts; there may have been another one that may have been deleted; tips are hip.
-This child needs to be located.
-I never want to see another bear, dog or bunny nosed duck lipped everything hanging out selfie.
-A real life Walking Dead scenario may be safer than the internet.

The aunt refers to her as Chas in this article.

Maybe she didn't have a phone?

IMO she wanted to get her younger sibling away from the scene and to a safe location.

darn it, was really hoping to wake and find an updated thread title with found safe. I am really worried for this girl.
