Yup, this seems like sloppy reporting, "last seen" isn't right, since multiple reports have said that the last video of her captured her exiting the alley on her way back TO 5N? From the Herald Times: "Security cameras mounted to apartments in the area also show her exit the alley toward an empty lot, north of 10th & College Village at 2:51 a.m. [LS]’s keys and purse were found along this route through the alley, [Bloomington Police] confirmed on Thursday, but did not have specifics on where. From there, statements from witnesses provide the rest of the timeline...."

bbm Good one! this line is why people have been implying there were credible witnesses for the little info we have. Not just after emerging from the alley, but info on the time/storyline is being brought to us by people involved, specifically friends of the POIs!!

These people did not stand still until they played their parts in the storyline. As we know, they were moving around the same 3-4 blocks, 5 if you add Yogis/JW's house. way OT but keep in mind that Hannah Wilson and JW both lived right around the corner from Yogis, near each other. This is def a circuit that these kids move in and it would be easy for perverse people to track them coming and going.

When Lauren and CR left JR's apt and went over to CR's for 45 min before going to Kilroy's, JR could have easily went over to JW's. It's a 3-5 min walk. JW claims he stayed in, JR makes no such claim. If we had a board with pieces we could move these people around, and think of possible connections, or moves, they made.

Why would "innocent" people lie (ZC, ZO, HT, CR, JR, MB, DB, JW, DR, BB, etc.)? If they really didn't hide Lauren, they must feel responsible for something. Like the first time I heard HT said that Lauren had gone too far this time I wanted to ask her, "and were you going too far that night too?"

Because I think we've all seen the pic of HT with the Xanax on tongue and shot in hand, haven't we?

DBs family owns Paragon Properties which at the time of Lauren's disappearance owned property bordering the Muscatuck (sp?)
Forest Reserve near Seymour IN., let me check on the exact spelling. And I believe you can get to this land reserve sneaky-like in about 40 min. by going through the YellowWood Forest.

DB is always an enigma...we think of him as an unknown out-of-town guest who doesn't know anyone or anyplace but here his family is owning property around here. That means they must employ people around here. And those people might live rurally, might be familiar with forests, like JMW. Not him, of course, but people like him. But it would be as easy for it TO be him than anyone else.

Thinking about the Muscatuck thing, and I really think we need it on the map, because iirc, Seymour would be as far east as Terre Haute is west and that would look bada$$ for our boundaries, and it makes sense! Because if you're causing trouble on the west rural triangle, Terre Haute would be the next "big" city, ditto Seymour east although Columbus would be a toss up unless you were affiliated some way with Seymour.
We should run these guys through Seymour background checks of all types, and see what lockup they throw them in around there.

Over the years, we've thought about a lot of talk about different directions that LS' sad story could have gone. One that always bothered me was dumpster-related. There has been talk that dogs hit on the dumpster near 5N. And talk about when the dumpster there was emptied and how the landfill was searched. I've wondered (maybe just to myself) if LS could have been left by the 5N dumpster originally and then moved that morning to a different dumpster in a different town or even state or perhaps to a construction zone. I agree that DB is an enigma, but so is JW and even ZO or AB, for that matter.

Also, as we've discussed the timeline over the years, might it not be that LS did indeed leave CR and MB's, either on her own two feet or with the help of others, and JR for some unknown reason covered for that? IDK why he would, apart from maybe providing something other than alcohol (as Sports did that, too) that contributed to her demise. But truly, is there any proof that she even made it to JR's?

I guess I'm feeling rather bleak tonight, but there are so many possibilities at this point. I really hope she randomly shows up somewhere and this case can be tracked backwards, so to speak.

Do we know if it was out of the ordinary for Lauren to partake so heavily with drugs and alcohol, or if the extent of the use was a regular thing? I know that it's somewhat "usual" to party in college, but with all the alcohol and different drugs lauren is rumored to have used that night it seems overly excessive. I do not believe they were on a break.

Lauren's friends say that she did not use drugs regularly. JW's mom told the media that Lauren had a drug problem but from what I know of JW, her description sounded more like him than Lauren - That's JMO.


The comments from JW's mom implied that Lauren was to blame for her own disappearance because she used drugs, which seems like a cruel and thoughtless thing to say. First of all, given the state she was in, there's a possibility she could have been given a date rape drug. We don't know. She was, at the very least, given alcohol and possibly drugs when she was already intoxicated- The legal report states that Corey was buying her drinks and 'helping her' drink them when she could not even walk on her own. As far as I'm concerned, those are the only questions about drugs and alcohol that matter to her case. Whether she partied that night or every weekend really has no relevance to her disappearance, IMO.

As I recall JW posted something about being "back in the FB relationship" leading people to think that they had broken up. But that post might have been made after LS disappeared. I also recall discussion on PT in which someone (AWG) who claimed to be JW's roommate said that their relationship was doing well.

read the previous thread last night. We were seemingly on to something and now we're back onto the altercation, etc.

It's pretty obvious the kids were partying, things got out of hand over Lauren's escort, and she and he headed up the street and Lauren was not seen again after 3:38.

According to the only eye witness who admits being there at the beginning of Lauren's real demise, she saw her at 3:38..

See many people think she might not ever have gone to CR's.

One of the things that gets me is the smugness of their stories.

It could be that what happened to her happened in another apartment or outside.

Was she struck by a car in the alley? By the bartender or someone she knows? Did she arrange for someone to pick up Lauren?.
Someone who may have discussed bad things he had done in the past with her while hanging out in the bar she managed? We know DM likes to talk as we have a few people who have confessed things he had told them about sexually assaulting blacked out women and throwing them in random yards when they were passed out. The night Hannah was murdered, someone said DM was outside Yogis with an "older women" I guess they meant not a coed...which is how the PIs describe the bar witness! Wonder if they were outside getting high.

Something else had to have happened. My guess is that we don't have a clue of this from the timeline.

Like I've said, in the earlier days, it was said that the bar witness circled the block . This has got to be how she was found by LE who vetted all cars circling! So IOW, what she saw might not have been on camera, but her circling was.

If what happened to Lauren didn't happen in their apts, they can smugly tell the story because no forensic evidence was there.

That leads me to my next point. In rereading thread#34 I saw that the judge sealed the search warrants away from the civil trial. So, do we really know all of the searches they did? We think we do, but we don't!! The judge won't reveal the searches because it will jeopardize the criminal trial. Sounds like the people in the know, know so much more. and they believe there WILL be a criminal trial!

Did LE search JMWs property once before? something his grampa said about the dogs. He said at first he thought they were no good, but then they started hitting. Did he think they were no good because they weren't going where he might have thought they would? Like did JMW have a special place on the property, and the dogs didn't head there..but then found the other cadaver scent?

It has always bothered me that the camper conveniently had cadaverine scent in it from another source. anyone have any thoughts on that?

I want to discuss both avenues, both sets of POIs. hope others do too!:fence:

also want to add that the grampa (JMW's) didn't say he knew who died in the camper, just that he had HEARD that a previous owner had died in the camper. vague. and maybe a bit ingenuous, is that the word i'm looking for?

Ok so hang with me on this one guys and gals. I ride dual sport motorcycles (street legal dirt bikes) frequently in these previously mentioned areas of Indiana (Morgan Monroe Forest, Yellowood, all of Brown County really). I live in Southern Indiana just outside of Louisville, Ky but ride up north frequently. To say we venture out on the nastiest, loneliest of roads that area has to offer is an understatement. So about a couple months ago, we were traveling down the old Browning Bridge rd just outside of Maumee. The roads starts as gravel and quickly turns into a muddy track through the woods and dead ends at a runoff of the reservoir. We reached a certain location in the trek and for no reason, the image and name of LS popped in my head. It was odd and very out of place but felt intentional. I hadnt thought about LS since the story broke many years ago but I shrugged it off. So fast forward to last Saturday. We're riding the same road, get to the same spot, and bam! there she is in my head again. I get home and start researching the case which is how I found this forum. I decide to conduct a test, asking for some devine intervention to help us out. I open Google maps and zoom in to an area including all of Bloomington, up to Martinsville, and all of the possible dump locations in one shot. I closed my eyes, wished upon a star, and blindly picked a spot on the map to place a marker. Here's where it gets weird.....I zoom into the marker location and guess what!? It's on Browning Bridge rd EXACTLY in the spot where i get her name popping in my head! This now has to be more than a coincidence right? I have no connection to LS or anyone involved but have spent a fair amount of time on paranormal research and "ghost hunting" so maybe theres some connection there. I kind of want to investigate the area on foot but am a little nervous. Thoughts!?

I noticed the cameras at 5 N in August, 2011. I too, wondered if there might be video. However, I was corrected here on Websleuths by posters who said the cameras were installed the week after Lauren went missing.

I've known the installer of the camera's at 5 North for decades. We spoke the day of the installation, and I posted here about it. The installation was after Lauren disappeared. The photos I've posted at the time show there were no camera's at the time.
