Has there been any mention thus far of social services being involved at all in these kids lives? I don't think I've seen mention, but could have missed it.

I agree, EP.

Maybe this will help a little in keeping my blood from boiling out of my body.

Indiana does indeed have the death penalty in their bag of punishments for murder in particular circumstances:

In Indiana, the death sentence is given only in murder cases that involve circumstances such as rape, robbery, arson or if the victim was a child or law enforcement officer.

all JMHO

I am a bit shocked not by the depravity, because I am numb to that most days now. What I find so surprising is that methheads would waste their all fired precious dope by putting it in the kids' bottles. I have only known one person who I know for a fact was on meth. But I know quite a few crackheads.

Based on their behaviors which are often similar to those of methheads, I cannot imagine them "wasting" their dope in such a manner.

The only thing that might explain their sharing of their precious meth would be that they were so high they just thought it would be fun. I am a bit numb to most things we see here now, as well. But this numbness does not affect my opinion that their trials should have the DP attached. I don't like the DP, but if it's ever, ever appropriate, it would be to this case.

There was a rumor on the bf's fb pg that the boys had been returned to "mom" 5 days before. But nothing released so far on CPS involvement.

Re: "Mom's" mugshot. She doesn't look pizzed to me. She looks bored, stupid, clueless and effed up. Kind of "OK. Take my picture, don't make me wait, get it over so I can leave. Doesn't everybody put meth in a baby bottle?" As for BF, who cares?
Why do these degenerates throw away perfectly good little children? I'll NEVER get their reasoning. :jail::jail:

In this case, IMO, meth was all they knew and it was all they wanted. Those kids were lucky, IMO, that they were clothed or fed or bathed. I'll bet a buck that the older son will have, or already has had, medical problems that have prolly been ignored.

And I agree wholeheartedly with tlcya that, just like in Malik's case, that the parents/caregivers said "autistic" to cover up possible learning and/or speaking difficulties/disabilities that were due to, IMO, sheer neglect or abuse -- lack of attention from parents, bad nutrition, bad hygiene and a lack of proper medical attention. I could certainly be wrong here, but it's my 2cents. And it's an insult to all those who work with/for or are properly diagnosed with autism. Again, JMO.

I hope and pray so much that the older brother doesn't have any long-term effects from his meth bottles. Poor little guy already lost his brother. I also wondered about the autism diagnosis. If the momster started saying that in the last couple of months, I bet we can attribute it to the meth bottles. Sadly, I bet this wasn't a one-off incident. I'm willing to bet that it happened multiple occasions and mom was fully aware of what was happening and was in on it.

OMG. Just had a little snoop around dads fb (the bio dad, TC) and he has put a lovely post on about Owen, but he has also changed his profile pic to one of himself smiling. Odd.

But even odder - his girlfriend, who we will name JSR, has dumped him and got back with her ex in the last 2 days. Talk about kicking a man when he's down...

There is a (seemingly genuine) comment on TC fb from a friend saying "hang in there not your fault she wouldn't let you see them. It's not like you didn't try i know that for fact"

Really shocked that ZB's FB page is still up and wide open for comments.

I can't really say what I want to say re: the details surrounding what really went on in that house over the weekend, because I'd likely be banned for life.

What I will say though is, the BF's comment about the "bottles" couldn't have been referring to baby bottles as those boys are far too old for that. I'm going to assume he meant water bottles. My kids use them ALL the time, and so do nearly all their friends. Or, I could be completely wrong and these two human oxygen thieves were actually forcing those boys to drink from baby bottles. Knowing what we now know they were capable of, I guess that wouldn't surprise me.

RIP little Owen. :(

I have the toughest time reading these articles. I rarely go on crimes children because it is so hard to read.

I hope the people that were friends/associated with these monsters change there own ways. Not saying they all do drugs but this should be a wake up call.

Wouldn't believe this is the first time these kids were given drugs.

I just can't believe people can be so evil. RIP Owen. You deserved so much.

I dunno. I wouldn't be too awfully surprised if they were still using bottles. From what I've seen on FB, I don't think any of those people stopped taking selfies at the bathroom mirror long enough to actually teach the children to drink from cups.

I'm only being a tiny bit sarcastic.

Back to the autism diagnosis......I have a feeling this is not usually something a doctor is just going to up and diagnose on a regular well-child visit, right? I would think to be diagnosed, especially at such a young age, the child would have to have a quite astute and observant parent who would then bring up their concerns to a doctor. Fair assumption?

Something tells me this was not the case here.

I just want to clarify something. Is it fact that Breanna and Ty only broke up 5 months ago? If so we can assume Barnes was only a recent boyfriend. I saw Breanna's friend on TV saying she knew her through pregnancy/being a mum (and a good one at that if this lady's to be believed), she said she's suddenly stopped seeing Breanna in the last few months.

Having also seen Ty on TV it seems they're all off their heads on something, but I assume things have taken a dramatic and sinister turn with the arrival of this new boyfriend. She's lost control completely...

I feel somewhat qualified to comment on this subject-my youngest child (now a young adult)was diagnosed with autism at age 3, after pediatrician referred us to a specialist. I will never forget that day as long as I live-the day he was diagnosed with autism was the day our lives changed forever.
To me, it is among the cruelest of the disabilities- up until age 2 1/2, everything was normal-hitting all the usual milestones, my spouse and the child's older siblings had all the usual hopes and dreams for him. All that suddenly comes to an end, when your seemingly normal child loses language, developes strange behaviors etc.
Years of treatment have maximized his potential for as normal a life as possible within his abilities. I am sorry -I can't type any more-keyboard tears.
