I haven't seen any evidence there is a "grandpa" in the house, but in any small house the baby is in a bedroom. In my experience. I don't think I've ever seen a house with two bedrooms where the baby crib is in the living room and the adults have private bedrooms. Because in reality, you want that baby to SLEEP so you can have some free time. I just don't think I've ever seen a situation where adults have private bedrooms and the baby sleeps in the living room.

Family members told The Herald-Times that on Tuesday night, the child’s uncle, grandfather and a friend-of-a-friend drank whiskey and watched television.

The friend left the house at about 2 a.m. Wednesday, said Adam Ammerman, the child’s uncle. Grandfather Daniel Morgan said he fixed the satellite television at about that time, checked on the baby and saw her in her crib.

Am I the only one having trouble finding something within our TOS that I can say?

"Grampa" may not be dad's father.
Grandma's last name is Morgan.
She refers to him as "my husband"..... (When asked who all was in the house)
Is Shaylyn's dad's last name Hammerman?

No, that must be a typo. Ammerman.

None of them can keep their stories straight

It's as if they live in a world where lying doesn't matter, that you can say whatever sounds good in the moment, never mind that it doesn't match what you said in the past or how it will be interpreted in the future.

To me, it suggests drug or alcohol misuse and/or cover-up, at least at this point.

From what I'm seeing on SM, there are several last names & such. I don't want to cross a line or bring SM rumor here or *anything* like that but pretty much everyone mentioned in MSM associated with this horrible case, is very very active on SM. I have NO doubt whatsoever, LE is all over these accounts.

This story keeps getting more and more strange and twisted. I can tell you 100% my story would not change if my child was missing, unless for some reason I remembered something in addition to what I have said. This story keeps changing and changing. Bless Shaylyns heart, I hope and pray she is somewhere safe!

Nancy Grace pointedly asked who discovered Shaylan missing during AUDIO-ONLY interview of grandma, (no clue on grandma's attire)

I've deleted more words in the last couple of hours than even exist in the English language. I believe there is now a void in the time/space/word continuum. I want to be respectful, understanding and compassionate for the REAL victims in this awful case, but at this point other than this sweet baby girl, I cannot figure out who they are. I don't mean for that to sound cruel or anything but I'm pretty sure most of us are thinking the exact same thing.

The police must be having a field day with this family! They cant keep their mouths shut and they just seem to be digging themselves into a hole that keeps on getting bigger and bigger.

So many times we see parents of 'missing' children who refuse to speak publicly, then we have this family who will talk to anyone and everyone. Each time the story is different. This will be their undoing. They're not smart enough to realise people can see through their lies and that the police are trained to look out for inconsistencies like this.

They really believe that the police and the public believe their very poorly thought out scenario.

And the father failed the polygraph?!

Grandfather was fixing the satellite TV at 2am when everyone was going to bed anyway? Because that makes a lot of sense?

Poor little Shaylyn :(

I hope hope hope this is a hoax! But, if not, these folks don't appear to be bright enough or sober enough to effectively hide a body. The house needs to be torn apart to look for this baby.
