I think it is very possible. That said, I also think CA was an anomaly because of Florida's Sunshine Laws. Not the case here and if DB herself hadn't been feeding info to the media, most of us would probably be much more sympathetic.

If a GJ hands down an indictment, this case is going to be a long time coming to trial.

LE knows how close the river is and they seem to have known from the beginning who did it. I suspect they have been working since day one on building a "can't recover the body" case.

And, for what it's worth, I suspect that they have a whole lot of evidence they are building their case on.

Which is also why the lawyers are gonna do all they can to keep their clients quiet now. You are not allowed to lie to the police, and any lie, any inconsistency in the story -- coupled, for example, with HRD dog hits and some forensics, could be enough to send them to prison forever.

The only reason I can see Deborah and Jeremy doing what they are doing is if one of the boys are involved. This is the only thing that can make sense in my brain.

I don't understand.. There is something very wrong(and I don't need the duh? Ya think?response).. Oh I very much understand why defense team find it important to not let them speak.. But as innocent parents it no longer can be made sense of!!!

If they have turned their faith towards these circus wh**es of the defense team and handlers they have made the gravest mistake for Lisa's well being!! I can only cling to this fence for so long before these parents themselves pull me down and throw me onto the side against them!! I'm disgusted and if these parents are innocent then they are weak with no backbone for their baby!! Either way it's not for their baby's best interest!! LE is thinking about Lisa and many people here are too...the only ones not seeming to put her first who should, are her own parents.

I don't think he would be in any trouble, so I don't understand that. It WOULD make sense to me if something accidental happened and she wasn't watching them. She might tell him he WOULD be in trouble, so he wouldn't tell.

I don't think they had anything to do with it either. I do think there could be a chance they might know something. If DB said to them something along the lines of you can't tell because they would take you away from us, or it would be your fault if I go to jail, I can see her not wanting them to talk to the police. Who knows if they might say she told them that. You can't predict what kids will tell.

Worried about reasonable doubt a bit over here... and I really am starting to think they may not find Lisa. LE has been so very thorough. You wouldn't believe the LE presence out here. So many searches not covered by media. I believe they have quite a bit, but the way this is playing out..

1. Lisa missing.
2. Parents quit co-operating with LE 4 days later.
3. No real communication with local media; immediate.
4. Out of state counsel retained. (Some unknown form of social capital)
5. National Network media interviews only (suspected paid).
6. DB admits now to being "drunk" and confusing time-line of Last seen
7. Stories changed numerous times (just read people mag, and the article itself appears to contain contradictions of JI story; however, THIS one I did not hear out of his mouth but similar to other story changes)
8. Time-line change.
9. Delays.

I've wondered if the alleged text wasn't to a person (family member?) that took little Lisa (Lifeless?) far, far, away... One shot deal.

Either that or Lisa is local. But don't you think there would be a sign by now?

After everything I've viewed; layout of house, Lisa's crib, stories, and changed stories... Hard to believe a stranger walked into that house and did anything. The way parents are acting... I truly am suspicious not only do they BOTH know what happened to this child, but potentially other family members have helped them cover. IMVHO.

My post was more in questioning the care of baby Lisa's entire family and friends.. Do they realize and take issue with this sick and selfish route these parents are obviously choosing in this route of deter and procrastinate the complying to help find Lisa?? Why is no one stepping forward or shaking the crap out of these two parents Into not listening to whT defense Attys are steering them towards?!?!

Does no one in this Childs life care and want her found NOW?!?!?
Because I'm sickened and saddened that all of the perfect strangers seem to be the only one's who care(us here and LE)

Honestly, I wouldn't read too much into the extended family's behaviour. Love is blind and parental love is usually unconditional. It's very unlikely that Deborah or Jeremy's parents would go against them, not because they don't care about Lisa but because parents love their children and see the best in them. Now if they actually do know something incriminating then definitely they should speak out but I really think the majority of extended family are acting out of love. I do however believe that one member of the extended family knows something, but not all of them.

My feeling is the reason the lawyers are exhausted is that they have an out of control client who is not doing anything to help her own perception with LE or the public. No wonder they cancelled the open house. This is breaking down. Something internal in my opinion. Someone is ready to break.

I think you may be right. I got that feeling this morning when the press conf. was cancelled and then when it was shown on NG that they did not speak with Mr. A after agreeing to.... and now this. Is there gonna be a confession? I think someone is cracking.

What galls me the most is.... there was virtually NO sense of urgency on questioning the brothers! Once it was okayed, wouldn't you think they would have had them in there post haste??? Oh, but, I guess we have to wait for the right hoity toity specialists to be flown in??? BS!!!

These boys could have been questioned within hours of when it was announced they would be! It's shocking to me that everything involving this family has been put on the back burner by either the family itself or the lawyer in town. Tacopina hasn't said jack about what's going on of late.

..once the parents gave their consent-----it was 'speculated' that the interview would take place friday, b/c there was no school that day.

..the local attorney,cyndyS, although cancelling everything else today, due to "exhaustion" -----did say that the boys appointment would carry on as scheduled.

..that cancellation, that the media heard of at 10 p.m. tonight----was the call of tacopina.

Interviews with Baby Lisa's brothers scrapped

Debbie Bradley and Jeremy Irwin have canceled plans for a trained specialist to interview their two sons about the disappearance of their missing daughter.

The 5- and 8-year-old half brothers were scheduled to be interviewed for a second time Friday. The specialist was also to take DNA samples from the boys.

But Kansas City police said about 10 p.m. Thursday that those interviews were off at the request of Joe Tacopina, the New York attorney who is representing Bradley and Irwin.

Darin Snapp, spokesman for the Kansas City Police Department, said that Tacopina did not give a reason. Tacopina indicated that the interviews would be rescheduled for next week and police hope that occurs, Snapp said.

I don't think LE will have much of a case without finding Lisa (against anyone.) First of all, a case without a body in a child murder is almost unheard of, and second, there are too many people talking about men running around in the night with babies. They would have to some really solid proof of death, IMO and/or a confession.

Has there ever been a case where the state appointed an attorney to represent the VICTIM? No one seems to have Lisa's best interest at heart; she has no voice. As long as she's missing, she's presumed alive, so need representation. Right?

The prosecutor represents the victim. But until such time as a court case takes place law enforcement works on behalf of the victim.
