IMHO, we must consider the possibility that the doctor's appointment became confusing only in retrospect. Obviously, the school system doesn't want to bear any responsibility for Kyron being abducted. I go back to TP's statement about what he witnessed the teacher say that morning, and when asked why Kyron was missing, she said he was getting a drink of water or in the bathroom. If the teacher was so clear that day was the day of Kyron's appointment, why wasn't it her initial response to a question about Kyron's whereabouts?

IMHO, there's a bit of CYAing going on with regard to the doctor's appointment.

You could be right. Still seems hinky to me, but I admit, what you say does make sense.

Because we have freedom of speech and LE needs a reason to use quotes from a newspaper website in a criminal case. They would have to prove a connection between the posts and the real people behind the words in order to be valid in court. Anyone can say they are someone's cousin, but we don't really know. On the other hand, rumors have flown that DeDe and Terri were both on some websites talking about Kyron, but they need proof that it was really them - therefore, the subpoenas. It's not a waste of time because it sets up state of mind as well as possible motives depending on what they wrote. It might also be a way to discover other accomplices if their IP addresses were somewhere close to where Kyron disappeared.

I believe the way it works is that the owners of the website would be served with a subpoena to release private IPs and email addresses of the people who wrote the messages.

Well, I understand why a subpoena would be necessary (unless they're dealing with KATU, of course). I just don't understand why knowing who made comments would be necessary to the case. If that's what they're going after, they must really have nothing at all.

ewww. The questions posed by reporters are so galling to me. This is why I could never get into journalism. I find the whole "tell me Ms Doe, after watching your 3 year old child fall off the cliff to her death, do you regret planning your camping trip here near the grand canyon?" SO distasteful and ghoulish.

"Some have suggested that a 3 year old is probably too young to involved in a camping vacation. In light of the days tragic outcome, how do you resond to that?"

truly slimy. IMO

?????

Ok, thanks. Beginning to get fuzzy here and thought there was a 3 year old hurt somewhere. Sorry I misunderstood.

Terri's version (via her friend Jaymie) is that the appointment "misunderstanding" was probably due to the teacher's inexperience (not true) and hearing problem (uncorroborated), but she also said she gave the teacher paperwork regarding the appointment. I think Terri's version is super hinky. That's the only CYA I see going on regarding the appointment.

I'm the first to say that I'm very suspicious of Terri but even so this sort of thing is going a bit too far IMO. The article introduces the idea of Terri doing it as a hypothetical but the actual questions they quote don't. This line of questioning takes it completely for granted that Terri did it and while she may have done I think the reporter should at least give a token nod that he's talking about a theory that Terri did it, so far, even if it qualifies as a fact in Kaine and Desiree's mind.

Something occurred to me this morning when I was thinking about TH's involvement or the involvement of a pedophile. I have to say, the stars must have aligned if a pedophile did this. Not only would TH would be a good fall person because of her timeline not adding up, but there's a confusing appointment that completely covers the pedophile getting Kyron and etc. So not only does this pedophile get lucky with a suspicious stepmom to take the blame, there is also the double luck of there being confusion over a doctor's appointment to give the pedophile plenty of time with Kyron.

That would be the luckiest pedophile I have ever heard of. Now if there was no confusing appointment, a pedophile taking Kyron would make a lot more sense to me. I just can't believe a pedophile would ever be that lucky.

Not only that, but if it were a pedophile, he's three times lucky b/c the innocent stepmother hasn't stood up and screamed "ITS NOT ME, I SWEAR!!! ITS A SCARY CREEPY PEDOPHILE !! HELP!!".. not even once.

It occured to me just now. Alot of people have commented on TH not fighting for custody or anything yet. Is it possible that if she is innocent, but she herself believes one of her aquaintances could be responisble but doesn't know which one, that her daughter would be safer with Kaine ? Then with herself at this time ? I know if I were innocent it would surely be something I would think about, the safety of your child.
I went through a period of years receiving silent phonecalls, then one day they spoke and talked , I didn't recognize the voice and they were trying to get me to believe I had attended school with them, which was not true because they didn't have enough info about where and when I went to school. I knew I was dealing with a stranger or even an aquaintance that didn't know much about me. During that call, my husband run to a neighbours and called police. The police told me to change my number. I choose not too, I figured it was better to get phone calls then drive bys. I was highly paranoid after that call, and began to question in my mind, everyone I saw and everyone I spoke too, friends/aquaintances/strangers. It took me years until I finally figured out who the person was. I never knew the person who called, he turned out to be the roommate of a friends ex-husband. The silent calls I believe came from the ex-husband.
I go back to facebook again for some reason. I think on facebook aquaintances learn a whole lot more about a person then they ever did with out it. They sometimes have access to personal info, photos, what you are doing , etc....
And we all know pedifiles like to hang out where children are. Imagine them using facebook as a tool.

Snipped by me.

If I thought it's one of my acquaintances but don't know which one I wouldn't feel confident that my daughter is safer with my husband because what if the acquaintance is my husband? What if it's one of my husband's relatives? What if it's one of his friends, colleagues or other contacts that I know too? What if it's one of my friends but they still continue to keep in touch with my husband after I'm gone, worming their way into his trust, expressing their sympathies that I turned out to be such a jerk?

They would still have access to my baby through my husband and cutting me out of the equation wouldn't help any because I'm the only person I know for sure didn't do it.

I would definitely want to have the custody of my child and then I'd seriously consider cutting off my ties to any potentially harmful acquaintances and moving somewhere safer with my baby.

The explanation for Terri not fighting for custody of and/or visitation with baby K could be as simple as what it states in the divorce filing, that an evaluator would be needed, and that it is virtually impossible under the circumstances for an evaluator to assess this situation in an unbiased manner. IMHO, the lawyers are thinking long-term, which is wise, even though presently frustrating.

IMHO, it says something to me that Terri is following the advice of her attorneys -- she's not making emotional statements to the media, she's not talking or commenting at all, she's not counter-accusing Kaine or Desiree of anything, etc. And guilty or innocent, you know she wants to say a few things at this point. Guilty or innocent, there are always two sides to the story, and I'm sure she has her side. That she is showing restraint is interesting to me, especially in light of accusations of her being an attention seeking sociopath who has NPD, etc.

Exactly, I totally agree with you. The luckiest pedophile in the world paired with the unluckiest stepmom in the world, if we are to believe TH is uninvolved and it's a stranger abduction. It goes beyond the realm of believability for me.

If this is for me, I'm confused. I think Terry is involved because she says she left Kyron at his class at 8:45 and the science fair didn't end until 10:00. Kaine said she wanted the truck to bring the project home but didn't stay for the duration of the science fair that ended at 10:00 If the students were supposed to be in their class at 8:45, what was she supposed to do until 10:00? Or any of the other parents for that matter. If she left the school any time before 10:00, with Kyron he wouldn't have been missed until roll call at 10:00. With the Dr. appointment thrown in there, she had it made to leave with him, in her mind. This is all MOO.

Good points. And if this is so, why did TH never return to the school to pick up the project???

Since Day 3 of this case, I've had no doubt that Terri was somehow involved, and every detail that emerges only confirms my initial gut feeling.

As I've said before, Terri meticulously planned this, lined up her pawns to assist (whether they knew they were being used or not), and carried out the plan on June 4.

Everything that we've learned since June 4 seems to confirm this.

I don't believe that Kyron is alive, and I don't believe that he's been alive since approximately 9AM on June 4.

It was their own fault IMO. They had been told what the presser was for, well in advance. They chose in the interim to hype rumors and speculation in true tabloid fashion. "Arrest of Terri imminent!" etc.

Somehow, for reasons I can't fathom, they expected LE, rather than to proceed with exactly what they said they were going to do, and to proceed with reality, that LE would drum up something they didn't have, and go along with the tabloidesque frenzy.

I hope the media learned the valuable lesson here - stick with reality. Return to journal and knock off the gossip frenzy. Give the public real information - or nothing at all. You can't do that kind of stuff and not get caught with your pants down.

All any member of the media had to do was to make a quick phone to Lt. Mary and ask if there was any change in the purpose of the presser from what LE released to the press on July 21. Or maybe the media did that. And maybe Lt. Mary said no, no change. Who knows?

I couldn't agree with you more. It was the media an their so called "experts that hyped the presser - NOT LE. When, and if, LE has a major announcement, it will probably not come at a presser scheduled in advance, and the Sheriff, not a deputy, will be standing behind the microphone. LE is caught between Scylla and Charybdis. There is a public outcry for accountability for taxpayer dollars and the perception, among some, that the public has a “right to know” what is going on in the investigation. But LE doesn’t have a smoking gun. They are trying to assemble a case, pebble by pebble. It is potentially detrimental to the prosecutor’s case if any of the details of the investigation are made known to the person(s) responsible for Kyron’s death. So . . . LE solicits questions from the press, and then doesn’t answer any of the questions they have received, and the press is annoyed. Awkward, yes, but hardly unexpected.

Good points. And if this is so, why did TH never return to the school to pick up the project???

Could be:

a) the teacher didn't email her back before Kyron was discovered missing.

b) the teacher, thinking Kyron was home with Terri, emailed that she could just pick it up on Monday (why go back to school again if Kyron is already home?)

c) the teacher said, "Come by anytime. I'll leave it at the front office." but Terri decided to wait until Monday for the same reasons that she might not have gone to the mysterious talent show; i.e., Baby K was napping or fussy, didn't feel like going back to the school when she had a long drive ahead of her, whatever.

I think this is another red herring. There are lots in this case, IMHO.

Moo! I just wanted to share with you my thoughts. Kyron is missing. I wonder if we can find him? I believe he is in the same place Haleigh is. T of course holds the key like Misty. I have faith and hope for both and in LE. My gut says something different.I have been going back to old cases and trying to think how he could of vanished. I'm also trying not to get caught up in K and D life before or even after K went missing. So much has changed in the last few years as far as technology goes. I think we are grooming more sophisticated killers with newer technology. LE sure has a hard job.

O.K. I'm still confused about this. Kaine said the reason for Terry to take the truck, was to bring the project home, but he stated she did not stay for the duration of the science fair. So I guess my confusion is, what was Terry supposed to be doing from 8:45 until 10:00, if all the students were in their class, at 8:45, broken into small group's and toured the fair. Have we had any conformation from the school, that this was the way it went that morning. I know Carol Moultin stated this and the other little 7 year old (cant remember his name other than T) Do we have a msm report about this?

Supposedly she was often volunteering in Kyron's classroom and taking the baby with her. Why didn't she volunteer to lead one of the groups that day? It would have been her normal behavior to do so.

Not only that, but if it were a pedophile, he's three times lucky b/c the innocent stepmother hasn't stood up and screamed "ITS NOT ME, I SWEAR!!! ITS A SCARY CREEPY PEDOPHILE !! HELP!!".. not even once.

Exactly... Maybe staying silent is her own best defense for some reason but I assume that she would be awfully worried about Kyron by now because they'll never find him if people think that the stepmom killed him and aren't looking. They'll never find the perp either if LE has fixated on her and someone might get away with abducting and/or murdering her beloved stepson, and possibly other children in the vicinity shortly thereafter.

I don't know if I could keep quiet, even if it was prudent for me.

Because in my opinion the poor dear has no normal behavior, if she does she sure hasn't showed it since the 4th of June. I think Kyron is no longer alive, and I think her motive for killing him is because she is an [unusual person] just someone else we know about.
