Hamas lashes out at White House for confirming terror group has command post at Gaza hospital​

Hamas says the White House’s remarks that the Islamist terror group has a command center at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza was a “green light” to Israel to commit “brutal massacres” targeting medical facilities in the Palestinian territory.

“These statements give a green light to the Israeli occupation to commit further brutal massacres targeting hospitals, with the goal of destroying Gaza’s healthcare system and displacing Palestinians,” the terrorist group says in a statement issued in English.

“The United States bears direct responsibility for enabling Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza,” the group adds.

I wonder if Hamas is planning anything against the United States, perhaps in coordination with other countries, Iran, etc.

How nice it'd be if other countries wake up and start withdrawing money funds.

I'm all for sending supplies but only if they're needed and that they get to the right people.
No money donations as we're seeing what those funds are used for.

What IF ... Gaza doesn't need the handouts, & besides, isn't it useless to send money as everything they get is taken by their own gov't. ?
The only suffering and lack of food/supplies is at the hands of Hamas and once they're all hopefully crushed, the people can do just fine for themselves.
Other countries don't get a tenth of the assistance that the Palestinians receive.

Al Jazeera reports that Hamas has said, “We hold the occupation and President Biden responsible for the occupation army’s storming of the Shifa complex.”

The Hamas-affiliated Shehab news agency says on X, citing Gaza’s director of health, that Israeli forces have stormed “parts of Al-Shifa Medical Complex from the western side”.

The Guardian has not confirmed this claim independently.

Israeli tanks have entered Al-Shifa hospital complex, journalist inside says​

Israeli tanks have breached Gaza's largest hospital complex, according to a journalist inside Al-Shifa.

“We can see them pointing the guns of the tanks toward the hospital. We are not sure whether soldiers are inside the hospital [buildings], but they are inside the complex with the tanks," Khader Al Za’anoun, a reporter for the Palestinian news agency, Wafa, told CNN.

There were gunfire exchanges across the yard, and some of the windows in one of the buildings were out, Al Za’anoun added.

Hundreds of staff and patients are still at Al-Shifa, according to the most recent reports from inside the hospital, along with several thousand people who have sought shelter from Israel’s air and ground offensive.

The IDF has been careful and even helped people escape, at great risk to themselves.
Sometimes people aren't even grateful.

Those comments from Hamas come after the White House said on Tuesday that it has intelligence supporting Israel claims that Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad use some hospitals in the Gaza Strip – including al-Shifa hospital – to conceal or support their military operations and to hold hostages.

Hamas said it strongly condemned and rejected the claims, adding that these statements “give a green light to the Israeli occupation to commit further brutal massacres targeting hospitals”.

“The soldiers fired a smoke bomb that caused people to suffocate," says Khader Al-Zaanoun.

I doubt anything gets to the Palestinians free and clear. IMO Hamas hoards supplies and food and sells it to the Palestinians at exorbitant prices.
I hope once Hamas is wiped out (especially militarily) and a new government is in place, everyone will rally to help rebuild and support. Hamas is the root of all evil.

Ahmed Mokhallalati, a surgeon at al-Shifa, has told Al Jazeera that Israeli tanks and bulldozers have entered the al-Shifa complex.

“We saw the tanks and the bulldozers on the centre’s campus,” he told the news organization, which reports:

He said he inspected the main building above the emergency room, and Israeli forces do not appear to have entered it. But he added that he does not know the state of other buildings that are also housing patients and displaced people.
