Among other issues, I wonder if any of them ever had dental problems. Having never had any medical care I wonder if they ever had toothaches, etc. and what they did about it. I hope care is taken about not exposing them to illnesses right away, as their immune systems must be very weak. Living in isolation would have prevented them from being exposed to normal childhood illnesses such as the common cold and viruses.
Along with their mental health counseling, I am hoping they are getting medical checks/immunizations as well.

This may have been mentioned before - I haven't read all the posts, sorry...

But regarding the two 4-yr-old girls that were mentioned: if they were Jaycee's (twins, maybe?), I wonder if they met some unfortunate demise. I shudder to think of it, but maybe given/sold to some other pedophile? :mad:

Of course, there's always the possibility that they were just friends/family members over to play, since it seems like they probably presented the two others as their own.

My heart goes out to those girls and to Jaycee.

Germs are everywhere...they didn't live in a sterile bubble. From the time we are born we are exposed to germs, good and bad. I'm sure they've gotten sick from time to time. I'm not sure what their diet was, but that would have had a lot to do with what their immune systems are like. Not going to a doctor doesn't necessarily mean they are fragile....plenty of children I know rarely, if at all, see doctors and are quite healthy--my own included. Of course, I don't know anyone like the Garridos husband and wife either.

Children (and some adults) can be very cruel to abuse victims. It may come from a place of no reference point or not understanding. That makes it no less harmful to the victim. These children and Jaycee do not need their faces and personal info out there until they are ready. That will not be for a long time. The older girl....it scares me how she looks...she is a prime target for a pedo with that age preference and I think that was this freaks age. I shudder to think the horrors that these children went through...including Jaycee. Mother or no...age not withstanding, she is still the little girl inside that was abducted and hurt horribly by these sickos. My heart hurts for them.

The girlfriend-who-peeked-over-fences-in-2006 who saw the two four year olds, the (now) 11 year old, the (now) 15 year old and JC (who she then described as about 25 years old) said all of the females she saw were all blond and they all looked alike. So, that makes the probability that they were just friends or family over to play extremely small.
 
Who would send their two pre-school children over to "Creepy Phil's" house to play? They couldn't have been friends of Jaycee's other children, since her girls were largely sequestered. Someone else stated that the compound was a dangerous place for children. Garbage everywhere, exposed to the elements, electricity sources exposed, a pool...I fear that anything could have happened.
 
Good points, palmerk. I was initially skeptical about the hotel situation, but that makes a lot of sense. Also, I was thinking that Jaycee's mother could possibly currently be living in a smaller house or apartment that might not be able to accomodate all of them.

edited to add, I just read in the inside edition article that someone posted, that they are all now in a rented house at an undisclosed location. So, I guess they're out of the hotel now.

They use calming colors, very generic art, not a lot of technology, and rooms are usually uncluttered. If you've been deprived at all of a "normal" environment, a hotel room as a starting point would allow you to introduce new things slowly.

It's neutral ground for a reunion. It's not supposed to be "home" which I would imagine is sort of a scary thing for Jaycee --especially since her parents don't even live in the house where she grew up anymore. It would reduce expectations about how she will react to things like old pictures or furniture.

Also, people don't pay attention to other hotel guests very much --there's a sort of annonimity to it.

Add in that I've yet to meet any kid who doesn't think water to play in (as in the hotel pool) is a good thing. Yes, her kids have probably never gone swimming, but this might be a good icebreaker for the kids and their "new" family.

Wow, interesting. I wonder who they thought Nancy Garrido, Philip's actual wife, was in this whole scenario. Did they think she was their grandmother? That's just a general question, not specifically asking you, Tom's Girl. Thanks for the article.
 
Actually, the screen directly behind her (with the blue-ish background) looks like the Pac-Man or Ms. Pac-Man video/arcade game.

I will not be surprised if we find out that they purchased the (supposed) picture of the 2 girls from Cheyvonne Molino, who gave the birthday party for her daughter. Different media outlets are reporting different stories about the girls experience at that party. One saying they were like zombies, that PG stayed the entire hour they were there, they were glued to his side, etc. Another one quoted Cheyvonne Molino as saying they were inquisitive, more independent, and PG left. I'm too tired now to look up the sources but might do so tomorrow.

Going back to the point of this post, Cheyvonne Molino owns JM Enterprises' (aka J & M Enterprizes, etc) with her husband. This is the place Garrido allegedly erected a tent for church or something like that, but for sure JM was one of the freak's printing customers.

The business is in trouble with the City of Pittsburg, for violating certain codes, and the Molino's have to appeal the decisions. They are ultimately looking at losing their business.

Might her personal problems have been motivation for Mrs. Molino to sell the picture of the girls?

According to an article I read and I am sorry I cant keep track of when and where.
It said that he stayed at the party and he and his girls left after an hour, but he also invited them to come over to visit, that article also said he did not allow any pictures at all.

Not sure where the pictures of the girls was taken.

I also read somewhere that he took them along to a customer, and they were shy and clingy but strikingly beautiful, with the blond hair and blue eyes.

This video says the girls loved Hannah Montana. So, I guess they saw tv. They also spoke with people who knew the girls.
 
When I first heard Jaycee's girls names mentioned as Starlite and Angel, I couldnt shake the thought that I had heard those names somewhere before in my childhood. Then it dawned on me, and after a quick google, I realized that these names were from the dolls I had played with all the time, Strawberry Shortcake! Her horse was called Starlite, and she had a friend Angel Pie! This makes me so sad to think that these girls were perhaps named after dolls Jaycee had recently been playing with before being abducted??? Anyone else make the connection???

Probably un-related, but just for my own curiousity- what is a pressure switch? I saw it mentioned in that video above. I watch a ton of horror movies so in my mind I imagine some type of pressurized door locking mechanism.

Bless her heart, that had to be the hardest thing to reveal to her girls....and it's the start to a healing process. sending Jaycee and her girls :blowkiss: hugs and prayers..

And now I'm watching Issues with Jane Valez and they're saying that the girls were always well dressed and completely normal, even Hannah Montana fans. Sounds quite different from the way we've heard them described before.
 
One fuzzy neighbor with a load of guilt feelings who had him to a birthday party is the one saying they were well dressed and liked Hannah Montana. The Berkeley officers and others talked about the zombie look and drab clothes. Religious extremism may have played a part in the drab clothing. The zombie or robot expression may have been a behavioral adaptation so as not to excite or attract the attention of PG; thus avoiding abuse and pain.
 
I haven't seen this posted. Our local ABC affiliate, ABC7 (ra eputable news outlet), included Trust Fund info at the end of an article about the bone fragments (they might have mentioned it elsewhere, this is just where I happened to see it).
