"He may need help with the basics, but it seems he can abduct, rape, murder and dispose of the bodies all by himself." - don't forget BRUTALLY, VICIOUSLY ASSAULT.

JLM aims to inflict the most damage possible. He tries to pass himself off as 'aw shucks' and 'Mr. Nice Guy' - but evidence shows he is really in his deepest heart, an extremely angry, rage-filled, rabid animal when he is given the chance to let it out.

Jesse Matthew is no longer in Cville. I have confirmed that late last night he was moved to the jail in Fairfax.

Heh-heh. A little sleep deprivation, interrupted critter comforts? After all, the LE night shift needs something to keep them occupied.

'Morning,HG! Hey, thanks for all the articles you find! I was pondering last night as to when JM was going to be transferred to Fairfax and voila, your post answered that this morning. Hope he enjoyed his little road trip. Pfft. Those justice wheels be turning!!

So, did anyone answer this:

When does the clock start or stop ticking on the HG abduction with intent to defile charges?

Did it start ticking when they got him back to Charlottesville?

Did it go on pause now that he's in Fairfax LE's gentle but firm clutches?

My pleasure, this is good news. In the dead of night, eh. Nice not to have him see the light of day as he was moved.

I pray for Hannah Graham's family, may their pain find ease.

Yes, FindHG, I often think about the Grahams. A gracious couple, they acted with dignity and gentility under the most horrific of circumstances. I pray they can somehow find peace and that one man's evil doing will not destroy the remaining family. I hope, in some small way, that all our support will make a difference. They have been touched by evil that is difficult to shake off, and I would think that after experiencing JM's malevolence, that good people rallying around them would give some comfort, at least, I hope so.

And I hope JM is getting used to the idea of never seeing the light of day. What he has done to the Graham family is unforgivable.

Yes definitely that too! I agree totally on the extreme anger and rage. When I think of the horror that his victims went through, it makes me sick and outraged that someone could inflict this on our children and wipe them out like they're nothing, with no right to live.

Completely agree. You say it well. They seem like a resilient, wise, and dignified family. I just can't fathom their pain, or the Harrington's, or even worse Alexis Murphy's, Cassandra Morton's, Bonnie Santiago's, Jamisha Gilbert's and all the other missing and murdered women's families. It's one thing to lose loved ones to violence, but this way seems extremely excruciating to accept. It tears at every fiber of a parent's instinct to think your child's last moment ended with an animal of a being hurting them. I recall Gil Harrington, in one of her interviews saying though they found their radiant daughter and her ashes sit in her grandfather's cigar box on the mantle, something to the effect that her absence was ever present. Her thoughts on how she deals with their daughter's loss are precious and helped me understand a bit.

Ah, those Sneaky Petes! Coy was still talking yesterday afternoon (on Situation Room) about Jesse's possibly attending Friday's hearing via video link again. He said no one had given any indication that Jesse was going to be moved.

To quote John Turturro (from movie, "Mr. Deeds"), "You are underestimating the sneakiness!" :happydance: Yep, I underestimated, all right.

Amen to that... I really give all the families utmost respect and credit. I hope I would be that strong, but in my mind I don't know if I could. I hope I never have to find out. After being on WS for a long while, I understand that this kind of tragedy could find any one of us or our loved ones. I always say a little prayer to keep all of us here safe. So many wonderful, caring people that take the sting out of reading about the various and always heartbreaking cases.

I do believe that was an intro to the public that JM is 'slow'. He may need help with the basics, but it seems he can abduct, rape, murder and dispose of the bodies all by himself. JMO

It was the first public display that I personally noticed this first hand! Believe me I hope he never has any personal freedoms ever again!

Hi SolVol,

It is my understanding that "the clock" starts ticking from the date of indictment/arraignment. In Virginia they have 5 months with which to bring the case to trial. If I'm not mistaken, JM has been charged but not indicted/arraigned in the HG case so the clock is not yet ticking in that case.

It's a bit convoluted so I've included a link.

https://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp504.exe?000+cod+19.2-243

As always, JMO.

Does anyone know the "BIG development" in the JM case "overnight" that Marlena Baldacci talked about in the Sit Room with Coy Barefoot at 5:49? I don't see anything on Coy's tweets or FB page (and can't copy and paste right now).

ETA: They wouldn't be so desperate for viewers that that would "just" be his transfer, would it?

My guess is that if it were anything other than him being transferred to the Fairfax jail, we would have heard it by now. Many reporters have been all over this story from day one. I doubt a "BIG development" would have gotten by all of them. JMO

Wonder how the Grahams feel having him so close? I think it might be a little unsettling for me.

I'll probably regret saying this, but if he had brutally murdered one of my daughters, and I knew he was being transferred between jails at a certain time, I would have a difficult time not turning into a grief-stricken vigilante. I'd want to kill him myself, no matter what the cost to me.

Horribly selfish of me to say that, given there is more than one victim to have been brutalized by him, but I really don't think I could be as good of a person as the Grahams and the Harringtons have proven to be. They have shown remarkable grace under the most horrific of circumstances.

I find that if I let the sense of outrage, disgust, rage, anger, take over than I can't see past myself. So grateful to live in a society that can bring him to justice and will. I hate to even say their names, but learned through the last couple of months, to get anywhere, you have to understand how they exist to stop them. Their victims and their families fit in the front of my mind. May there be fewer of these creeps as thing progress. Better identification, laws and intervention strategies that can deal with them early on would seem key, not to have them just keep going on and get tweaked into worse. It seems there's a difference between what a civilians can do and what can be done legally. Private citizens, without departing from the law at all, have a lot more latitude to inform themselves and take legal measures to protect against them, as WSers well know.

Thank you Heroine. Looks like justice is starting to weigh. You can see it in his eyes, I think.
