I don't think it existed--it is another red herring, it allows her to say she was bloody when she came to, she wasn't, she showered or washed up or something at Travis'. If she admits to this or even to not being bloody when she came to, it means she will have to acknowledge she showered etc., which doesn't really support her "fog" claim. How can you be in a fog and shower off the blood, and basically wipe the place of prints and blood. Not really "in a fog" behavior. So she has to say she was bloody, and washed off with water. Another lie from a lying liar.

Yep but Juan will most likely point out that if she "came to" in the car wearing the bloody clothes, the car would be full of blood and the rental agency would've called police. The rental guy described kool-aid stains in the car. Not enough to call police about or raise any suspicions. As bloody as the scene was the car would be covered in blood if she left without washing. Nothing she did supports fog.

Did anyone think that just maybe she did her haphazard cleaning of the hallway and bathroom area, then she took a shower and then she put him in the shower. She could have used the cup to rinse anything else remaining on her after rinsing him off.

Exactly. That case of water seems to have only one purpose: to cleanse blood off herself after murdering Travis. She never mentions having it in the passenger compartment where she would drink it, she doesn't mention having it for a roadside emergency, and by storing it in the trunk with the gas cans, it would be hot and taste like gas. Therefore, IF the water existed, does it go to premeditation as it's purpose is to wash off the blood? In essence, that is what she is saying.

It's also possible she wants the jury to think she had a Costco case of water taking up room in the trunk with luggage and 2 gas cans so that there was no room for that pesky 3rd gas can.

I'm sure I'm the last person in the English-speaking world to ask this, so I apologize in advance. But what is Travis referring to in the following text messages to JA? TIA

I don't think it's been established seeing they'd have to rely on Jodi to explain it. But dissecting the note from a third party----it appears Jodi was making up lies and claiming someone had some 'non-flattering' information about him. And it seems he was demanding to know who this was although it also appears he sees right through her by this point. He knows she lies.


Fast-forward: I don't believe he and Jodi had sex on June 6th. I don't care HOW horny you make this 30-year old, I just don't believe he would've done that with her.
I think she caught him totally by surprise (around noon) that day. Came unannounced, uninvited and somehow, for some reason, staged those 'bed scene' photos.

Because we all know that in between the litany of lies, she expels the truth some times.
I recall when she was being interviewed by Flores, she was saying things like "are you sure that was me in the photos" and....."they could've been from another time". Something along those lines.

I don't know. I don't have all the answers (nor theories) down packed but I know what my intuition naturally rejects and Travis having sex with this '3 hole wonder' is one of them because it's highly unlikely.

After she picked up the rental, didn't she say she went back to her sisters to take a nap. I'm sure she'd claim she got it there.

We do have a Costco here in Redding.

Thanks for mentioning a nap at her sister's. I have been wondering why it took her to get to Lodi (isn't that where she stopped at McDonalds)? If so, it is only a 3 hour drive from here. Maybe I need to find out where she stopped, but wasn't it around 5:00 PM?

Yeah, I had thought that a possibility until I saw the streaks of bood on the shower walls. I don't see how she could have showered without disturbing them, especially as they were so fresh.

There seems to have been very little computer/phone forensics done. Nothing like what we saw with the CA case where they could track her pings over the course of weeks, all texts from various phones, etc...

I wonder why so little was done in this case???

I think both sides stipulated the authenticity of the electronic communications as they wanted to use the messages as foundational evidence for their respective cases.

There is also little dispute over the whereabouts of the defendant and the victim at almost any point in time within and surrounding the murder window.

Not sure how many cell towers in Yreka serviced her phone while Gramps's .25 caliber semi-auto was being stolen...

You mean she might have been LYING about the Costco water?!? But that was one of my FAVORITE JA product placements, along with Pop Rocks and French maid costumes. :floorlaugh:

Maybe I'm imagining things but to me Darrel sounded almost afraid of JA. Did u see the way she was looking at him when he was testifying? He didn't completely go off the 'script' she had in mind for him but he did mention the gas cans so on her direct she mentioned he was an alcoholic...she might have said worse stuff about him if he had given completely truthful testimony.

I read that Jodi had referred to him as a chimney and a drinker but I wasn't sure when. So she actually said that during her testimony? How did that even come up?

Yes I wonder that too! I also wonder why they can't bring home taped testimony to listen to later at night. I know I hear things the second time around that I missed the first time. All they have to rely on are their notes? What if they're bad note takers..

I wonder if they sneak peek Hln or do family and friends see the trial and tell them things they don't have privy tooo

Those blood streaks could have been left after she showered when she put him back in shower. Just a thought.
