Which is why, in my opinion, psychopaths specifically target those whom are somehow vulnerable - whether that be by age, immaturity, sheltered nature, etc.

Which is why his beginning to come to terms with acknowledging that what he'd been doing - on whatever level it was that mattered to him was not what he wanted, for himself or in a relationship (or even the FWB type thing... the fact that he sounded like he was starting to mature or at least moving in that direction - became immediately dangerous, in fact lethal - for him.

JA was not going to tolerate that. She wasn't even going to tolerate her perception of it - of Travis' starting to wake up and figure out that the intimacy that he'd probably heard of and been taught to revere, respect and cherish all his life was looking more fulfilling - coupled with probably not a small amount of guilt.

Ironically, the self-limiting, empty, body-function-like sex JA was capable of in all likelihood (akin to a cough, a sneeze, a yawn an itch... only two people and other body parts are involved), probably...

...helped him wake up a little sooner...

...helped him decide what he DIDN'T want a little more effectively...

...helped him see the value of a meaningful relationship just a little bit faster than if she hadn't been a willing warm body - no strings attached - and no ability to progress, sexually or otherwise.

Okay, I just creeped myself out

How can someone like JA be truly intimate? I don't think that's something she has the capacity to experience. Oh well. Sad day for her. (Yikes, I need to go do something silly for a few... I'm grumpy and I really don't enjoy it....:) That was good for a giggle).

I think JA is going to tell Nurmi the gun was brought per TA's direction (he even suggested to "borrow" it from grandparents) to have as part of their role play sex. JA is already leading up to it with the french maid costume, spiderman undies, and red robin hood. She MUST come up with a plausible story about how the gun was already there (because if she doesn't it screams premeditation). He brought up knives from his kitchen to go along with this role play. They tied each other up (she will make up a story about where the rope is) and then they got into an argument, and then some other BS. That's the only reason she could have had weapons nearby.

Then factor in how he was screaming at her and she started to retreat back to 7 years old with her parents and then he started to attack her and she grabbed the gun and knife. She didn't mean to kill him. She was scared and then fled.

Except that Gus Searcy says that JA called him sobbing about Travis being dead the morning of June 5, so he asked her if she needed a ride. [With apologies to Manfred Mann's Earth Band, ref. "Blinded By The Light"]

Are you and I the primary users of the term "murderess" on this forum?

HA! well, I know we are not allowed to call her names......but murderess seems to be pretty accurate anyway!

But she did not call Gus on June 5th, and he KNOWS that and so does JVM and Nancy Grace and DR Drew AND the prosecutors office. He has never said it was June 5th he just hems and haws all around it when people try and pin him down. He even says that she called him right before he was leaving for Cancun, which would have been in the early morning hours of June 10. Some more charitable folks have suggested poor Gus is just "confused"..... I think poor Gus knows how to ,maximize the attention he's trying to get. I wish she HAd called him on the 5th tho!

The absolute backbone of the Wiccan faith is this: 'An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will'. Many who practice wicca warn against ever harming others because there is a deep-seated belief what you put out into the universe comes back onto you. Karma, divine retribution, kismet.

It is by far, one of the most beautiful and peaceful spiritual concepts known. I can assure you fewer wars have been fought in its name as well. It's roots are deeply buried in nature - a belief that we, as humans, can find balance and harmony in the world surrounding us...but we must also be careful to protect it as well.Evil, hatred, bloodshed, and rage do not find their roots in wicca. Those are blights upon society entrenched much deeper than any spirituality. As far as 'spellcasting' goes, which some wiccans practice, while others do not - I see that as very much an enhanced form of positive thinking. Some folks use a dream board - some wiccans use rocks, flowers, incense, etc. related to certain natural properties (e.g. water, fire, earth, air).

HTH to alleviate a few misconceptions.

Sounds like yoga... :floorlaugh:

(not luaghing at you Kate, just a joke)

Are we allowed to post about the radio show here ?

If so, I love the way the one gal sounds like Dolly Parton, plus her views are the same as mine.

No, Jodi admits to the Detective that once she was in Arizona and near his home, she called him. He picked up and she said "Surprise! guess where I am?"

she said he said "huh? what...where?"

and she said "I'm in Arizona I'm almost at your house!"

And she said that it went silent for a bit.

Uh ya. He saw his life pass before his eyes and unfortunately he should have refused to let her in. The part she might be lying about is, she never called him but just showed up, came through the garage and went upstairs to his room expecting to find him with Mimi who he was going to Cancun with and she planned to kill them BOTH.
But much to her surprise, found only Travis.. Asleep.. and woke him up

Does anyone remember what time her phone died (this was what she said) or was turned off before she got to TA house and which tower was pinged on the last call. I thought this was said when she was being interviewed at the police station??

Nah, The Jury won't buy it.
IMO:jail:

Aha! DAWG -- You've hit upon it!! To watch or not to watch... Those of us who are able to watch it all day long (which really is only from 10:30 -- 3:30MST or something like that with about 1.5 hrs for lunch plus watching IS or HLN as well) do watch it & then we wonder, "Why? That was 6 hours of my life I'll never get back. What an idiot I am!" Or at least I do -- when JA is on the stand, that is. <gag>

It's like baking a pan of brownies and you eat the whole batch, or nearly, and then realize you're gonna gain about 70 lbs because you did. "Why did I make that dayam batch of brownies -- now look what I've done." But I must say that eating a pan of brownies is much better -- scroo the weight gain -- than watching Nurmi and Jodi go at it for days & daze & days & daze & days. But we will be rewarded -- our Juanderful Prosecutor will have her all to himself sooner or later.

So your work -- and here's hoping you enjoy it, DEPUTY, is not such a bad alternative -- but you really must record Juan's cross, that is if we get to it before the world comes to an end.

:floorlaugh:

Love it...and now when I'm able to peek and see bits and pieces of the trial...I will start craving brownies, now :floorlaugh: But, that will make it more tolerable.

Yes, the CROSS is going to be something, I believe! Looking forward to a master taking evil down.......

:please: Can this Woman on the show that says it like it REALLY is :please: PLEASE repeat that to the Jury:please:

Yes, her exact quote was... "I think she was used, not abused, but a willing participant.

There's no way you can be used if you are a willing participant. IMO

I am not sure I agree 100% ..She was more than willing but Travis knew she that and he was liking the sex so yes I think she did scratch that itch ..I think he figured hells bells it here I am going to get it while I can ..I think he did use her for sex but it was mutual if that makes sense

I can see her crying! Shivering! Visualizing her doing the chihuahua jerk

Interesting thing about "the shake," she told the investigator that she had the shaking problem with regard to public speaking and TRAVIS helped her overcome it.

I have been worried about as one TV pundit said her, "dazzling with the details." Fearful of her in depth details making her story seem "too real to be fake" to the jury. And that is possible as we speak however when played back in contrast with her in-depth and emotional lies being told to the LE (and others)? She loses all her credibility. It's one thing to say she lied because of (insert reason of choice here), it's harder to say that when her performance, details and delivery are identical to what the truth is supposed to be now.

AhHa! Thank you so much for catching that! :blushing: Maybe that's at least one little thing I'll stop obsessing over! There seems to be no end of questions in my mind that I'm sure we'll never really know for sure about. I've gotta say tho, there are so many brilliant minds at work on this site, & I'm constantly amazed at how very many details come up that I was totally unaware of. Seriously, HLN should have a websleuth segment! I learn so much more here with some of the best detective work & more logical theroies as any of their shows! I also appreciate the way we can interject & correct eachother without an attitude & before someone picks up that ball & rolls with it! I see that happen WAY too often on there for me to be comfortable! I'm gonna try to take a break from commenting till Tues & just read some more! :seeya:

You are welcome! So many facts in this case to remember, it is wonderful when we can help each other out getting everything straight.

:)

The truth about Travis Alexander according to Jodi Arias is as far from the truth as it can possibly get.:furious:

She wasnt ashamed of what she did in order to prey on the man she wanted and she darn sure wasnt abused. I cant believe that some people really seem to fall for Arias' concocted bs when she is already known as a pathological liar. I guess it just shows a sociopath can fool some people. That is a scary thought but I wouldnt believe her if she told me today is Sunday.

Travis is no different than any other person in a violent situation that thought they could handle a violent abuser and found out they were mistaken. The graveyards are filled with victims who thought they would be able to take care of it themselves. He already knew she could be violent slashing three sets of tires and sending a threatening email. Victims will appease their frightening abuser for they know what happens when they dont.

If she had just left him the h*ll alone he would have gone on with his life without her in it. She was having none of it. Imo she called him to do the sex talk. He had no clue that evil woman was recording them. Over and over again invading his privacy. No darn wonder he got sick and tired of it and let her have it. If I had been him I would have called her far worse names than he did. He had had enough of her psychotic ways.

She had nothing to offer Travis (nada) that he had never had before except the kinky sex she introduced him to but even that grew old. The baggage she brought along with it was no longer worth the titilating sex she so freely offered up.

It isnt Jodi that changed when she met Travis. It was Travis Alexander that changed and he didnt like the change in him and was trying to get away from her clutches.

I thought I couldnt detest anyone more than Casey Anthony but I was wrong. That was before I knew what a wretched creature Jodi Arias is. I hope she gets death. She is one of the most evil diabolical murderers I have ever seen.:furious:

She didnt constent to anything..this was her little bag of tricks she played on Travis.......she was the aggressor just like the spider who catches the fly in its web and watches as it struggles to free itself and waits until she kills it and devoures it.:(
