Travis had issues himself. He would have known she was a time bomb, at the very least after the slashed tires. That's a giant red flag. That he kept seeing her even after that was an unhealthy choice.

I don't think most of us would assume that a person capable of slashing car tires would be capable of slaughtering a human being.

I am somewhat stumbling around watching the different days of trail since I missed so many. But I wondered with the magazine entry and the speculation that it was for Matt and 'interview went great' thing.

DB said that he and JA had dinner with the Leach guy for the 48 hours show, sometime in Aug 2008.

Would that be the interview and was DB the one the hidden messages were for?

Still watchig but thoughts?

I think if there was a gun in the closet that stool would of had to be moved closer to the shelves. If I recall it was in the middle of the closet area. For her to even attempt to reach a gun where the stool was positioned I think it would of tipped over and the folded cloths would of fell to the ground...therefor, I do not believe there was a gun in that closet at all. Even it it did happen that way, I would think her fingerprints would be on that shelf.

Imo there was no gun in the closet or anywhere in Travis' home.

First, a man would not buy a dinky .25 for self protection especially in today's time when .45s and 9mm's are so popular.

And no man would buy a gun and not have a box of ammonitiion for the gun.

Just another lie among the hundreds of lies the defendant has told.

She doesnt even know how to make her lies seem logical. The only one that thinks ita logical is the lying sociopath on trial.

IMO

here it is:

"And I don't know why I didn't run out of the room. I ran into the closet because the door was open was my thought. Last time I ran down the hallway, he caught me before I got to the door, and that was another incident in the summer, so I guess I went in the closet..."

{ I call BS on that prior incident. Funny she never mentioned it before.]

that was so ridiculous. we heard every detail of her life, practically from birth, and all the horrors of TA's abuse but she FORGETS to cover that 'other time' he 'tried to kill' her.

she and nurmi must have lost a page of their script or something to leave out such a vital part of her story, huh?

I have a thought, and want to see if others think it could be possible.
I wonder if Travis had some T-Shirts made up that said

Travis Alexander's on the front of the T-shirt,
and Being Better Blog was on the back?

Travis Alexander's Being Better Blog http://travisalexander.blogspot.com/
That would explain the T-shirt ! She then got the iron on letters to make the underware herself for her "picture" she took in July

I've been saying this was a marketing ploy by TA more than JA saying TA made this shirt for her.

I am pretty sure it came in at the end of the day on Thursday...That is what he left off with.

Steely Dan did a 3 part posting it yesterday. You can contact him and he can give you the actual breakdown of them. there were 3 YouTube videos they were about 9 minutes long each.

Here is where I am, he did not deserve to die but you can't have your cake and eat it to. Travis was living the good life at a cost it turns out. His little love child turned around and bit him on the butt when he told her to take a hike. Yes it is a tragedy but the writing was on the wall here. This was a volcano waiting to erupt.

I disagree. But I've also heard similar comments about my sister. And me. We should have all seen her murder coming.

I guess the custom home builder who wrote out a contract on a home for a good faith one dollar should have seen it coming too.

The Jag dealer who gave him keys to a showroom car to drive should have known.

The Rolex watch seller who ordered him a new watch should have seen the writing on the wall..that he had no money and was pre spending his murder victims life insurance before he killed her.

The manager of the bank who was conned in to a 3k loan must have been really dumb or stupid to do that and know nothing about his job.

All of my sister's family and friends who partied with them celebrating their marriage should have known this was too good to be true that night and gone straight to the police.

My point? Sociopaths are successful at what they do because they hide in plain sight.

People feel uncomfortable yes. But NO ONE goes from that to thinking the person is calculating or even capable of murder from that. Normal people don't take that leap. Travis was no exception.

And yes in life you do get to have your successes, your cake if you will, and all your failures and mistakes and misjudgments and still get to HAVE YOUR LIFE.

Edited to,add: Jodi arias did not "bite Travis Alexander in the butt". She stabbed him 27 times, slit his throat and shot him in the face for his "crimes" as she saw them. She also robbed a family of their future with their little / big brother, nephew, cousin etc killing every moment they would have shared with him . I'm sure I don't need to go on.

And I'd like to add that Arias told Detective Flores that she had never shot a gun before ... wonder if investigators have visited the Yreka gun ranges ?

It's not so much what they did or didn't do before June 4/2008. For me it's the way they act in court. It makes me sick to my stomach.

There is a modicum of decorum that should be followed when in court. Their conduct is nothing short of disrespectful. To the judge, the system and to the family of TA. What they seem to have forgotten is that a young man was brutally murdered and their daughter is on trial for her life. NOT a laughing matter. JMO

I don't think most of us would assume that a person capable of slashing car tires would be capable of slaughtering a human being.

What is shows to me is Travis is no different than anyone else who has found themselves in a domestic violence situation. The more violent and threatening acts the abuser does the more the victim tries to reason with them and appease them keeping them calm so they will not act out further. They have seen what happens when they do not try to stay on the good side of the abuser.

Many victims in domestic violence situations have been murdered when red flags were falling everywhere but they did not report what was happening to them or the fear they felt or the shame and humiliation it caused them.

Travis, was a man, and men are taught to suck it up, and handle the situation themselves.. especially when it comes to being threatened by a violent female. That is why men are the least likely to tell. Society has taught them to 'shut up.'

Society doesnt seem to see females as dangerous as men. They even think it is acceptable when a female acts out after a breakup as if she is entitled and men arent. Society needs to wake the hell up, imo. It gives males who find themselves in these dangerous situations no support. Even their own male friends dont 'get it' and cant understand how a female can abuse or terrify a male who is larger than the female abuser.

We have so many myths going around in our society about how men cant be abused, physically, mentally and sexually.. its enough to make someone's head explode and it needs to stop.:furious:

I don't think that's fair. Most people who live with or love someone disordered are as unlikely to predict the actions of their loved one as anyone else. Perhaps even more so because so often disordereds are very capable of things normal people can't imagine doing to another human being. Your brain just doesn't work like theirs does.

There are a whole array of psychological assaults a psychopath or disordered is able to utilize against even their closest family and friends. Such a personality is quite likely to manipulate inherent human nature (such as trusting someone you love is basically good and honest). Even if they're fortunate enough to recognize warning signs before a tragedy help is largely elusive for the treatment of personality disorders. If Jodi were an adult when and if they realized something was wrong there is literally nothing they could have legally done. The only things that could have saved Travis' life after they met were if Jodi were dead, incarcerated, or moved onto a new victim.

When I left my disordered (likely psychopathic) ex I knew he was more than capable of extreme cruelty, psychological abuse, and constant threats of physical violence. However, I had absolutely no warning that within weeks of my leaving he would be stalking and cyberstalking me, attempt suicide in front of his 12 year old daughter, and drug then rape his sister's 14 year old daughter. I knew he was bad...I just didn't know how bad.

I have great empathy for Jodi's family...not because I hold compassion for my ex but because I have two children. One child still adores and idolizes his Daddy. My heart breaks for him all the time. Loving someone so void of any soul, so dark and depraved it defies definition altogether, isn't something I would wish on anyone. It steals a part of who you are - and leaves you exhausted, drained, and feeling both helpless and hopeless.

i'm very moved by your story. i just think it's almost impossible for most people to believe someone they love(d) can really do such horrible things and maybe even kill them. we KNOW it happens---we read the papers and watch the news. but really believing it can happen to you or your loved ones is a huge hurdle to make.

The one thing that I have heard about JM is that his method is different, that it does not follow a linear format. So I'm not going to try to analyze his cross of JA until his cross is done, and even then, his cross methods might be setting up future questioning of later called witnesses.

I believe he questions in a way to throw JA off, to show another side to her, to get entered certain pieces of evidence, and to make points, either right away, or down the road. But I have a strong strong feeling that we will know where he was going, once he finally gets there. And I have a strong strong feeling that when he gets there, he will REALLY get there.

Let's not forget, that he still has his rebuttal as well. I think that is going to be where he might shine the most, tying up loose ends and inflicting a final blow to the defense's case. And then...his closing arguments.

So far, I am so intrigued by his style. I am on the edge of my seat when he is up to bat. MOO, so far. We shall see...

FWIW...

The absolute most dangerous window of time for any abuse victim is when they're attempting to leave the relationship. For many, many victims of intimate partner homicides the writing was on the wall and they were living with a volcano waiting to erupt for years before gathering the courage to leave. Moving to another state didn't save Venus Stewart. Seeking counseling didn't help Michelle Young. Being granted a restraining order didn't spare the life of Sargun Rugi. I've had the honor of working with many women (and a handful of men too) who only by the grace of god, divine intervention, fate or luck alone, survived leaving their abuser for good.

IMO you can't believe Jodi is a psychopath and not concede Travis as an abuse victim. All psychopaths by their very nature are abusive. Only the degrees vary. Considering she ultimately butchered her victim, I would wager the likelihood of (at least) psychological abuse staggeringly high.

JMO

I would imagine Travis was warned plenty by his friends and family about the nature of his girl toy. Cold turkey did not work. There must be a better way to end or manage such a relationship. The physical part had its logical endings but the mental part is the problem. This couple, if we can call them that needed counseling but that was never going to happen.

she also told det. flores he didn't have a gun just his fists. iirc on the stand thurs. she was still insisting travis had a problem with pedophilia, even tho it was proven she was lying about seeing him masturbate with pictures. i hope she is straightened out monday! i bet travis family felt like choking to hear her say that.

the way to end a relationship with her kind, is to kill her. (or a lifetime of restraining orders and security systems)

Hi Ocean,
I'm getting the feeling that people like this don't even care if the lies are logical. They are telling it and that's all that matters, beginning and end. They have said it, now that's the way it is. It's a whole other mindset.

It looks like this ebay account started receiving feedback on 3/7/08. I really want to know what she purchased between then and 5/6/08 to see if there is anything that could have been used for the murder.

I also REALLY want to know what she bought on 6/7/08 and 6/10/08.... just days after killing Travis. Who shops on eBay right after they slaughter someone???

She just gets weirder and weirder.

It looks like they were "cards" If you go into feedback left for others you can see some of the things that were purchased even if they were years prior. A lot of them look to be sports cards.
