Was Jodi blackmailing Travis with photos, email, text messages, and phone conversations? She kept a record for a reason. I think Travis may have wanted to get a restraining order but feared the consequences and humiliation. She is getting back at Travis even after death. Sick!

I know, it breaks my heart too. She kills him....and now she's trying to kill his reputation. Awww but those pic's ~ sweet revenge ...he is NOT letting her get away with murder.

Headed out to attend a party, but I know I'm going to be thinking about these text messages that clearly show how distrustful Travis was of Jodi towards the end. I can't believe he let her into his bed when she arrived unexpectedly. I can't believe he was still duped by her by then. I don't believe they had sex either, and I feel she set up those pics. However, why would she leave that camera and set up those pics? Just saying, something is still not right about the events, and it's driving me to keep questioning if things didn't happen entirely different. It's maddening!

It nags at me all the time, things have never felt right to me concerning the photos. Including the nudes in the bedroom and the shower photos. Part of it has to do with how the photos themselves come across, Travis' expressions, what we have learned from his texts to JA, etc. Plus, I just have bad vibes. The other part is that I know that if JA has claimed it was one way, we can be pretty sure it wasn't that way at all. So if the explanation she has given is all or mostly lies, then where does that leave us?

I don't know how she could know or even care at the point where she was trying to get away from Travis. I would think she'd be more inclined to say she believed the shell went towards the tub or the shower as she saw it eject. jmo

i know she'll have an explanation, but he's yelling and she's running and OMG he's right behind her and she has to get to the gun and he's still coming and he's going to kill her and......

in all that 'mortal terror', she took note of where that casing went?

Because didn't the room mate leave for work early in the moming? Like around 630am? So he would have seen TA before then? That kind of blows Jodi's-- I got there at 4am and we went to bed story.

It is still possible that JA shows up at 4AM. BUT she did NOT park her car in his driveway. I never believed that. Why would she park her car where roommates and neighbors could remember an "unusual car parked at TA house all day June4" One possibility is she managed to get her rental car inside the garage???

OR she parked the white car with CA license plates (upside down) away from TA house???

Neither explanations are very good!!! OR

As noted above she arrived in Mesa /TA house well after 6 30AM June 4 and parked in the driveway.?????

I assume the simple answer is that JA merely wanted to keep her story consistent. She claims she shot TA first and there could not have been blood on the tile floor when the gun discharged.

If JM asked TA" how could she know how or where the casing landed?" she would retort "because I shot him first."

If JM asked JA -if TA were shot first how could the casing come to rest on a pool of blood - her answer would be "I don't know"

I caught her comment too about the shell casing. She disputed that's where it landed. She's on shaky ground because she wants to go with her "foggy" after the gun shot story. She remembers more but needs to keep pretending.

I don't think she said but she would have stopped in the Desert as you leave Mesa AZ.. and filled her up...

I think it would have been before arriving in Mesa as the car's range was 360 miles and it's 387 miles from Pasadena to Mesa.

New here and here is my theory. First I’m a guy and shower every morning, and most of the time my eyes are closed. My thoughts are just after the photo at 5:29.20 TA knew that JA was present, invited or uninvited, and turned to finish his showers. JA puts down the camera and picks up the knife. TA turns and it happens, knife to the chest, two-three times. TA comes out of the shower, hands up (defense wounds) and makes his way to the sink. Now JA is stabbing him in the back. He still tries to get away and makes it to the bathroom door and falls to the ground. Next is the neck wound. JA is left handed and the throat is cut right to left. The head moves right to left leaving the right side of the head exposed. TA is making sounds and the last is the gunshot to the right side of the head above the right eye. It’s over, TA has died of his wounds.

I think this is all entirely possible.

This whole past week I've been trying to figure out what Nurmi would use to requestion her. I think he wants to stay away from the salon, the remote and maybe even MM. He knows where Juan is going. How much damage control can he do without it hurting her case in the rebuttal???? Should be interesting.

We really do not see the abuse and whatever she suspected Travis of doing in front of his computer screen has nothing to do with why she is claiming self defense. If she has to rely on MM to back up her excuse it's a poor one because MM has no proof what she was saying is true. Only Jodi has an incentive to lie. jmo

one thing we do know is that re-direct has to address the cross right? And Juan did not go near abuse or religion.

He basically said Jodi was a liar, liar, liar.

If he is going to try to re-direct that he is in for a big challenge tomorrow and it will only be good for the state imhoo

her new story on cross is: she never used her hands, only her feet and reached up, without disturbing ANY OTHER SHELVES and took the gun...without touching any other part of the wall shelvings with either hands...it was a FEAT with her FEET.....

JA, the new carnival wonder.....only uses her feet to balance herself, to reach up and retrieve an item from a top shelf...

Ok, after as angry as Travis was at JA at the end of May, I am still struggling with them having sex on June 4. Especially when there is no other evidence of them having taken those kinds of pictures before. This is the current theory I am working on:

Travis did not know JA was going to see him. She shows up as he is on his computer. They discuss things, she tries to seduce him, and it doesn't work. She is there for a few hours, and acts like she is leaving. Travis then goes up and goes to sleep. JA sneaks back in and goes up to his room. Sets the KY on the bed for staged pictures, but he wakes up. Her thoughts were to use this as blackmail. He gets out of bed and goes down to his office, telling her to leave.

She stages the pictures of herself using the timer. She reverses the time on the camera. Remember how she was so adamant about the emails being 7 hours off? She knew how to reset times on devices. Plus, the pictures where you can see her face do not look like someone playfully having her picture taken. Her face looks more like she is concerned if it the pictures are going to come out all right.

She goes to confront Travis and kind of blackmail him into taking her to Mexico or just committing to her. Doesn't work and Travis goes up to shower. It's then she decides that she will have to kill him because her other plan didn't work. She takes the majority of the pictures of him in the shower without him knowing. When he does see her, she is armed and ready to go.

She deletes the photos before she leaves so there would be no evidence.

I really do not think they had sex that day. I think he spent a good part of the day trying to ignore her, thinking she would finally just leave.

I know there are probably a ton of reasons why this could not be the situation, but it's the best I've got right now.

I agree, he has such an odd look in his eyes...bewildered? Betrayal? Makes me very sad to look at that photo.

Her only testimony was that she did not use the gas in the cans upon leaving Travis' house.
No explanation when or if she ever did use them.

Even if she would have filled the gas tank just prior to arriving in Mesa, Arias would have filled the tank again somewhere in the journey to West Jordan, a distance of ~700 miles. Strange, that cash receipt just vanished ...

She doesn't seem to be too popular these days (or maybe I'm simply looking through WS colored glasses) . All I know of on the defense side are two expert witnesses, one who's specialty is with PTSD, I believe, and the other a Domestic Violence expert.

I can't wait for JM's cross with LaViolette - you gotta know he's going to ask her about her Snow White theory... or maybe not. He's not as sophomoric as I seem to be today. I'm looking forward to it, anyway...

Does she have any friends? She basically absorbed Travis' friends (and faith, and home, and social group, etc.). I've never heard of any recent friends at all. Just the one that knew her in high school and hasn't seen or spoken to JA in almost 15 years (Tina Ross) - who the TH circuit labeled as a "close friend"... (?)

She's stayed in touch with boyfriends, apparently, but I think anyone the DT calls to testify would likely have to be subpoenaed/required to be a witness on her behalf.

But I don't know... maybe her mother - grandfather - a family member might take the stand... maybe her old HS art teacher...
I think a former cellie/inmate was on their list - but I never heard anything official.

The State has an DV/abuse specialist lined up, and there are rumors about Matt McCartney but we probably won't know about him until we see him walk into the courtroom - IF he is called.

I don't see anyone lying for her, I really don't. Especially if they've been watching the cross-examination over the last few days...

i agree. she has no friends of her own. she tried to co-opt HIS friends but it didn't work. i don't think her family can be called unless they know something that can support her story. at least down here, you can't call character witnesses until the penalty phase and that's all they would be, IMO.

I've seen all the texts. I just need to know which parts of which ones have been entered into evidence and where to find that testimony. Seriously bummed that with this slow iPad I have searched got 90 minutes and I can't find confirmation. I'm starting to get pissed and throw this slow sucker out the window.

In that case, it's pretty tough to see through glass shower doors with water running down them or water drops hanging. Mine are glass and I can't clearly see a thing through them when they're wet. You would sorta need to open the door to be able to tell anything about the photos...and if you opened that full length shower door with such a tiny shower enclosure, I believe water would have gone everywhere. Her story just doesn't make any sense to me.

lol None of her stories make sense. Who would sit there looking through photographs while taking a shower? They would say wait til I get out. I thought she meant that they deleted some pictures earlier, and that she dropped the camera while taking pictures of him in the shower, and that is when he went from 0-120 in a flat second, and slammed her on the ground. I guess after that body slam, he did one of those "TV pauses" where the bad guy allows his victim to get away before chasing them. For good measure, she should have said that he said, "F'ing kill you B" as she rolled away, because that would have REALLY been like a movie. Just saying.

Her story is she was showing pix to Travis, and they were deleting them together - this would make her VERY close to the shower. How did the camera bounce around that wall jutting out between the shower and tub?

Where is the shower drain in that picture ?
