I asked Mr Pizza to put in to words what his point of view is at this point. I pointed out last night it occurred to me he doesn't follow the case like we do, word for word, video, opinions on just about everything . He comes home and watches the Aft. testimony and truly play Devils advocate with me everyday to the point of an argument. Then I realized he was a damm good 13th juror.

Here is what he had to say as I asked him to put in to type to put on to WS.

To me the biggest question was the change of weapons. If the shooting came before the stabbing as she claims, why did she put down a loaded gun to get the knife? If she were truly in fear for her life she would have pulled the trigger again and again until the gun was empty, followed by using the gun as a club. The only reason to put down the gun and get the knife was to mutilate her victim. If the stabbings came first, then after he was stabbed 29 times and his throat slashed ear to ear he certainly wasn't threatening her life, why then go get the gun and shoot him in the head? Again only to assure the death of the defenseless victim. So to me, the fact that both weapons were used indicate it cannot be self defense. There was either an intent to kill and mutilate or mutilate and kill with no other explanation.

Mr. Pizza has my vote!

Love it. At 28 years old this dude is an adult....how disgusting. I do like this judge....but the Pinellas 12 not so much. I wouldn't mind seeing him take on JA though.

i do agree she of course needs to have some sort of food provided but i call bs on it.

if she or anyone else in that jail doesn't like the rules i'll again draw their attention to this:

It is not that simple. I read about a woman that Sheriff Arpaio's office held for three months on suspicion of being an illegal alien. She was not and actually had her birth certificate with her when arrested. They contended it was a fake. It was genuine and she was released. She did nothing to be put in jail other than look Latina.

Honestly folks, I'm getting very very worried. I am really afraid that the jury's going to be sympathetic and let her off. I know this is heresy but I don't think that the prosecution is laying out a logical case - he's all over the place, and he lets his disgust for her show too much. I hope to god I'm wrong.

Sympathetic on what grounds?

I find it extremely powerful that so many women on this board who have lived the life Jodi describes on the stand, and for some far worse, feel so little empathy for her and instead throw the weight of their compassion to Travis.

Doesn't it stand to reason if anyone is likely to find empathy it would be those who are intimately familiar, having lived it themselves?

Maybe that was stretching it just a tad, but I just find Nurmi so MUCH MORE skeevy somehow. Maybe it's the subject matter in this case, and having to listen to him drone on about it for days and days. He makes my skin crawl.

She is used to only having 2 meals a day.

Fine, whatever, JA "needs" lunch and has a headache (I don't buy migraine, her behavior says she doesn't have one). Imagine for one moment you didn't bring lunch to work and couldn't go out and purchase a lunch. Do you really think your boss would put up with you saying you have to leave because you didn't have lunch and now have a headache? Mine might let me go, but believe me she would make it clear she was displeased with my lame excuse.

What is this about JA having a migraine from not eating? For one thing, headaches from not eating are caused by low blood sugar, they are not "migraine headaches". Migraines are a legitimate medical condition, and not typically caused by just not eating. And I would bet all the pop rocks and tootsie rolls in the world that JA has absolutely no history of migraine headaches. If she did, you can be sure we would have heard her and her DT whining about it long ago. And if she wasn't getting lunch, why didn't her DT step in and get her something? I mean, how hard is it just to see that someone gets a simple meal ?

BBM But she said in one of her texts to Travis that she had a migraine. So there MUST be a history of it..........bwahahahahhahahah

The line of questioning re the KY was to disprove the myth that JA was this little faltering victim of Travis' sexual perversion. JA introduced it to HIM. As far as the rock picture, JM was trying to show that Travis wasnt that much taller than JA, therefore it wouldn't be impossible for her to overpower him, drag his body etc? JMO.

Why would they wait until today to complain about her lack of lunch?

What a coinkydink that after her cat and mouse with Mr. Martinez she develops a migraine.

Funny that she was all sweetness and smiles in her sexual commentary on the stand earlier, looking over at the jury and trying to connect with her tales of oral sex and KY, but suddenly, BAM, a migraine appeared out of nowhere.

I would be reviewing the tapes to see if she was really feeling ill, or if this is all part of one of "movie scripts"

She seemed to be really enjoying talking about her sexual adventures and shocking them with certain words. It was making her look real bad. Her lawyers had to get her out of there before she did more damage. JMO

She was becoming more animated as this testimony went on. Not the sign of a person in the disabling throws of a migraine. This was all Nurmi panicking and stopping the Jodi Sociopathy Train.

The exhibits did her in. Prior to them she was okeydoke.

After all this time now she mentions no lunch? Last thing I want with migrane is food. Stress can produce major migraines. Plus she didn't look ill. Jmo

They haven't provided her lunch for the past 4 1/2 yrs, why should they start now. She should be accustom to not eating a "lunch".

I think it's a different situation when a pre-trial detainee is actually in trial. It is very taxing and I think proper nutrition is important, irrespective of the jail's policies the rest of the time.

After all we want Jodi at her best -- we want her to be convicted fairly and righteously, without any excuses for getting brain scrambled due to insufficient nutrition.

Holy cow. Ok that is stupid...if true. I don't mind some of Sheriff Joe's tactics but getting up at 3 or 4 am and having breakfast then and waiting until 6pm for dinner? No...I don't agree with that. That would mess me up all kinds.

I don't have a link to the video, but on NG they toured the jail and a guard showed her the meals. IIRC they get two cold/bag meals and one hot meal a day. The two cold are breakfast and lunch and the hot is dinner. They even showed the packaged cold meals and NG tried the hot meal.

BTW: Even if they are only given one cold meal and one hot, I imagine she would be able to split the one cold meal into two and eat half in the am and half in the pm. I'm not defending Arpaio or his policies; I honestly am not a fan of him at all. Three meals, not extravagant meals, but three, should be provided as a basic right. That said she's been there for how many years now? She should be able to function under the provisions of the jail by this time.

Mark my words. Once she's convicted and sentenced to death, this afternoon's testimony will be appealed. They will say the testimony she gave basically agreeing with the State that she was consensual in the sexual relationship and not abused or manipulated was based on her having a migraine and not getting enough calories thus rendering her confused.

that's what we have to look forward to in a few years.
