did he acutally take the test.. that was ordered just a few days back... it take a few days to get appointment and get results.

I do not see where he did acutally take the test... the comment of showing improvement.. is anyone sure that came from the report? Could that have been a statement by Powell's attoreny to try and evade the test..
any info appreciated if there is a link to IF he acually had taken the test of not... after the test it takes a few days to translate and get report together.. based on my experience with my x.. test taken and two weeks later got results.

I believe that the test show SOME posative and it has to point out negative also.. it is a long test that takes hours.. in my case it had decent points on my x but it also has many red flags... with JP personality... believe me that test most certainly had some flags...i would be interested in reading the entire summary... in my x case it was 10 pages and at the end required a poly... that is when my x eased off the case...

Dont put too much in the impovement.. perhaps that is cause the perv father was gone... but there is more to that report than we know.. and since it is medical and hippa laws we may not know.. fourtunalty i was provided with a copy because of open case of myself trying to cease any visitaton at al.. hard to take parental rights.. but there is a such thing as suspending visitation of ANY type temporty and/permanent.. and per my attorney temporary can mean for years.... they could of gotten this guy.. he knew it.. but they dropped the ball.. no visitation should of been ordered of under CPS official center where it is taped and TRAINED specialist sitting in the entire time or behind closed glass to see and hear it all...no hugs are allowed, no wispering, no question about mom or family... very limited...

I don't think he had taken it yet. He was just ordered to do so at the custody hearing held Feb. 1. I think he knew if he took it it would show him in such a bad way (his true self) he would never have custody of his children again so he did what he did...well, that was one of the reasons.

Thanks for explaining more about the test and sorry you are in a similar situation. I used to be with a real controlling abusive jerk but thankfully my birth control method always worked so we never had kids and I finally got away from him, it wasn't easy but I did it.

I hope you're right. Unfortunately, I think the likely answer is he totally thrives on control. My game, here's a list. Do my bidding.

I believe JP was a very detail oriented person, hence the turning off of utilities, and how he managed to kill his sons on a supervised visit. I'll bet he even read the fine print in contracts.

I was just reading this & came here.

As if it couldn't get any worse? I feel like I've been hit in the gut reading this. Although I know my shock & horror pales in comparison to those poor children. I just wish I could hug them and tell them how much they were loved by people who never met them.

Those sweet, innocent boys saw who J.really was in those moments. I think this is one of the worst stories I've ever heard.

I never bought his continuous slack-jawed, blank faced, help me, feed me, feel sorry for me act. However, the boundless depths of his depravity continues to shock me.

I feel the same way I did when I heard what happened to Aliahna Lemmon. I braced myself for the worst knowing more than likely she was no longer alive because the story told by her killer is just as believable as JP's going camping during a snowstorm <rolls eyes> but the details were still beyond shocking.

I would've thought so too but after reading what he did to the children before blowing up the place, why would turning off the utilities even matter.

I guess wishful thinking on my part wanting to believe that he left some clue behind as to where Susan is. Probably not.

Because if the house was doused with gasoline then any spark from an electrical outlet or light switch would have blown the place up before his little plan to kill his boys could be carried out.
I'd like to know the date the utilities were turned off because that to me would indicate when the gasoline was poured in the house...it would have been after the utilities were turned off. I'd also like to know if Josh stayed in the house after the court hearing last week. I'm thinking he probably put in the order to have the utilities disconnected on Thursday the day after the court hearing. Utilities would have been turned off on Friday and he either doused the house with gasoline on Saturday; in which case he wouldn't have been able to sleep in the house afterwards, or on Sunday before the boys were scheduled to visit. Either way I'm thinking he set this plan in motion immediately upon leaving the court hearing last Wednesday. He knew exactly what he was going to do and exactly how he was going to do it.
The fact that he axed those babies before he started the fire just breaks my heart even more. I initially thought the boys didn't suffer because the blast would have been so forceful they would have been immediately knocked unconscious but the ax tells me they knew, they were terrified, and they felt excruciating pain.
How does anyone forgive such a monster? How can his cousin try to blame others for this horrific act of evil? SMH

I totally agree. I cannot imagine being the doctor who had a price that led to this - not saying he was paid off, but seriously I can't imagine feeling that I had somehow given this monster the nod as a professional.

With the most recent news regarding the hatchet, I am all of a sudden, again, finding it hard to breathe.

I am quite sure this method of murder closely resembled the murder of Susan. A blow to the body with some sort of weapon ("mommy had a boo boo") and then the "campfire." It was his confession, IMO.

Hi sherryk, IIRC JP was ordered a few months back to undergo counseling but he had only attended one session which was revealed at last weeks hearing.

I doubt he ever scheduled the psychosexual exam as it was just ordered last week due to the images on the computer in 2009. MOO

The other lawyer that claims to represent the Cox's Anne Bremner was the first one to come out after the explosion saying the boys had just started talking. Then Downing did the next day.

Why did they rush out there and say stuff that was not true?

I thought yesterday's news was just horrific. Horrific comes no where near describing this latest news. I have no word to describe this. Unthinkable, unimaginable, unspeakable. Monster doesn't even adequately describe this person. There must be a word for this level of evilness, but right now I don't know what it is.

Once again, my heart just breaks for the Cox family. How in the world will they ever be able to live with this. They have been so strong throughout this whole ordeal. They did everything right in fighting for their daughter and these precious little boys. Hopefully their strength and faith will continue and see them through.

My thoughts and prayers are with them.

There reporting it as 5minutes after the boys ran inside.. With 1neighbor saying it was only 3minutes from that point that the home was engulfed in flames... It is that which leads me to believe that 3-5mins is no way, no how enough time to spread 10gallons of gasoline on top of what he did to the boys.. And that the sw upon reaching the door immediately smelled the gasoline..

We'll know more about the actual and accurate time frame and at that point it will be alot more clear of what was or wasn't done prepping immediately preceding the 12:30 arrival of the boys for their scheduled visitation... No MATTER when it was done IT WAS PURE, AND UNADULTERATED EVIL!!

As SmoothOperator's post and most links state, the social worker immediately smelled gasoline upon reaching the door. Notice this layout from the NG show. If one of the two 5 gal cans was poured onto the carpet, furniture, etc in the living room/hall area shortly before their arrival, the smell would have been overwhelming at the front door.

As revolting as it may sound, I can't see chopping these little boys necks with this hatchet taking more than a few seconds after their entering the house. As Twall's post and link states, if the second 5 gal can was ignited, possibly with a match or lighter to a gas soaked rag in the spout, the explosion would have been instant and devastating. I found this video on YouTube of a 5 gal can of gas being exploded from a safe distance using a detonator cord. Imagine the horror and devastation, if what you see was in the living room of a house soaked down with more gas.

In my opinion, there's little question that 3-5 minutes was more than enough time for this profoundly sad and evil act to be carried out.

I just saw the Cox parents on the Today Show, I don't know how they did it but they looked strong, no crying. I will still pray for them they said they were like that because of faith that Susan is with her boys

Someone asked upthread about whether the body of JP has been positively identified. I would tend to believe he really did kill himself, but are there any MSM reports stating that the ME knows for sure it was him?

As I say, I do believe it was him, but I still wonder, because making a huge show of telling everyone "goodbye" and then doing this and ensuring the body would be very burnt (by having the gas can nearby) would be a perfect set-up for sneaking off.
