The painting Alfonse gave me tonite that he spent two days creating in art class in the hospital. It says "Home Tweet Home". I think he did a great job, esp considering his state of mind. I told him I'm gonna frame it and put it in our new Sedona home. His sweetness is coming back to the surface. He actually thinks he might come home ina few days...we'll see.

He pointed out all the birds: chickadee, Raven, Cardinal, Robin ;)
Wow he is a talent... Does he paint often?

KCL: Have you heard this before?

People You'll See In Hell (website)

"Arias said she and Alexander dated from Feb. 2, 2007, until late June 2007 and that she broke up with him on June 29 and moved to California in April 2008. She says neither of them was interested in marriage, so she moved away to put some distance between them.
That’s not exactly true. She actually moved to California to follow Travis there when he had to relocate for a time. When he returned to Arizona, Jodi remained in California."

P.S. I'm so glad your talented brother is feeling better!

Wow!!!! Katie I would love to see this beautiful design reproduced on card stock - perhaps your bro would consider creating a special designer signed greeting card line?

To be fair, this was a "paint by numbers" kind of situation but he still did a great job choosing the colors, staying in the lines and composing it, didn't he? Love my sweet little brother.....thanks for the love guys. Means alot.

He was also asking me all about the trial too. He was following it before his meds went awry. He remembered right where he left off too. He is kind of savant like in a way in that he has the most incredible memory of anyone I've ever met.

It would be special to take Dawn's idea, and print 2 copies - one for you, and one for Alfonse?

I think it's really a great painting.

That's beautiful...I love it...He has quite the talent Katie.

Tonite I send this song out to my beloved sister and to Travis who I think it might have meant something to....as it sure means something to me. My heart feels broken tonite that both, such good, dear human beings constantly striving for and believing in love didn't get to fully realize it in this life. I hope they are finding it wherever they are now. And I hope I get to find it myself somewhere along this timeline.

What a beautiful, meaningful song. Katie, keep your chin up. Your sister is watching down on you and so full of love for you and appreciative of what you have done for her and are doing for your brother. You are a special lady and a special man will come along when you least expect it and swoop you off your feet. God has a plan for each one of us and we just have to trust in him.
You are burning the candle at both ends right now and I think you are exhausted. Take time for yourself and your needs right now. We all love you and are keeping you in our prayers.

HLN stated early this evening that there is such a total difference when the legal teams leave the courthouse. JM has groups of supporters cheering him on and wishing him well. The defense team has had death threats and has to have security escort them from the courthouse. If you go to HLN, there is a link to "JM a Rock Star". Dr. Drew states that 'threats' have been made against them.

By the way, thanks KKL for clarifying the article I found as being 'bunk' (above). Good night KKL, you need your rest!

I've looked, but so far can't confirm this, but HLN stated early this evening that there is such a total difference when the legal teams leave the courthouse. JM has groups of supporters cheering him on and wishing him well. The defense team has had death threats and has to have security escort them from the courthouse. Has anyone who is there witnessed JW or KN leaving the courthouse?

HLN was going off Mike Kiefer's article that was laced with inaccuracies. He's burnt out and/or getting lazy.

That was just one inaccuracy. I've never seen JM leave the courthouse thru the front door. It happened that ONE time caught on tape because he was asked out there by a journalist for some kind of photo op. Thus lots of "fans' were out there also wanting photos. I wasn't there but I have not once seen that and you know I'm in court most days.

On the other hand I've walked out with the defense team, out the front door, more than once. In fact one day, when nancy grace was there and there were lots of fans on the sidewalk, they walked right past the trucks with Nurmi mugging for the cameras. People were holding up their cell phones and he kept looking over and smiling while walking past with Mitigation Specialist Maria Dela Rosa. She's also walked right past me, by herself, while I was sitting outside the trucks on the sidewalk waiting for someone. NEVER have I seen them with "security".

Kiefer is talking out of his A$$.

Also he said that a phone went off in the courtroom was a "donkey braying" and it was a rooster cockadoodle. He also said the woman who vomited did so loudly so everyone could hear. I was sitting CLOSER to that incident than him and didn't hear anything. katie was sitting right in front of her and heard nothing.

So, unfortunately his inaccurate weirdly biased toward jodi article got picked up by USA Today but much of it is false.

Will someone PLEASE put me to bed? Somebody stop me!!! :please:

Another reason elephants are popping up in the lives of Travis' friends and family:

One of the most moving displays of elephant emotion is the grieving process.

Elephants remember and mourn loved ones, even many years after their death. When an elephant walks past a place that a loved one died he or she will stop and take a silent pause that can last several minutes. While standing over the remains, the elephant may touch the bones of the dead elephant (not the bones of any other species), smelling them, turning them over and caressing the bones with their trunk.

Researchers don’t quite understand the reason for this behavior. They guess the elephants could be grieving. Or they could they be reliving memories. Or perhaps the elephant is trying to recognize the deceased.

Whatever the reason, researchers suspect that the sheer interest in the dead elephant is evidence that elephants have a concept of death.

Neat facts about elephants, contd.

Compassion and Altruism (sounds like Travis)

Compassion is not reserved for offspring alone in elephant society. Elephants appear to make allowances for other members of their herd. Observers noted that one African herd always traveled slowly because one of its members had never recovered from a broken leg.

And in another case, a park warden reported a herd that traveled slowly because one female was carrying around a dead calf.

One perplexing report was of an adult elephant making repeated attempt to help a baby rhinoceros stuck in the mud. She continued to try to save the baby rhino despite the fact that its mother charged her each time. Risking her life for the sake of an animal that is not her own, not related to her, or even her own species is remarkably altruistic in nature.

LAST POST

This reminds me of when Travis will be reunited with his family (and what he has already experienced in being reunited with his Grandmother & parents)
(not the urinating or defecating probably)

Joy

In the wild, joy is an emotion that elephants have no shame in showing. They express their happiness and joy when they are amongst their loved ones-family and friends. Playing games and greeting friends or family members all elicit displays of joy.

Another highly emotional occasion in an elephant’s life is an elephant reunion. This joyful meeting between related, but separated, elephants is one of exuberance and drama. The greeting ceremony marks the incredible welcoming of a formerly absent family member.

During the extraordinary event, the elephants about to be united begin calling each other from a quarter a mile away. As they get closer, their pace quickens. Their excitement visibly flows as fluid from their temporal glands streams down the sides of their faces. Eventually, the elephants make a run towards each other, screaming and trumpeting the whole time. When they finally make contact, they form a loud, rumbling mass of flapping ears, clicked tusks and entwined trunks.

The two leaning on each other, rubbing each other, spinning around, even defecating, and urinating (for this is what elephants do when they are experiencing sheer delight). With heads held high, the reunited pair fill the air with a symphony of trumpets, rumbles, screams, and roars. Bliss.

God bless you Katie. I do believe your sister and Travis are okay now. Get some rest.

I didn't know LMN started making *advertiser censored* - my hubby said a movie about her should be a *advertiser censored* as much sex talk as this trial has had.

So Steely - is the an acronym for angry whoppers :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:
