I can’t share any information about any family members except for Lucas right now.

His birthday is 12/3/12. He loves dinosaurs and toy guns. He had this awesome goofy almost maniacle laugh. He’s a super goofball but also so sweet and caring.

I don't know what it is about this boy but he has utterly captured my heart. I'm sitting here now just weeping, hoping and praying he's found safe. My prayers will be with your family tonight.

How exactly do you find the basement?

I'm wondering, did someone knock at their door, knowing the husband wasn't home, and he opened the door like 5 year olds do because they think their big kids and thought it was ok? Or maybe he thought it was his father, but instead, it might have been someone he knew around the neighborhood, and he opened the door and was coerced to go with with them?

Meanwhile, two relatives of the boy told The Eagle on Sunday that they had concerns about his welfare in the past. Sally Rasmussen, a great aunt of Lucas, said she contacted the Kansas Department for Children and Families last spring. The other relative, Jeannie Houchin, a great grandmother of the boy, said the Kansas child protection agency confirmed it was investigating. A Department for Children and Families spokeswoman couldn’t be reached Sunday.
