I have to say that yesterday after reading the press coverage of JH arrest, I finally had the lightening bolt come out if the sky. I was looking for motive. After living it, years of therapy, and experiencing it in my job, I have trouble with violence against children. I look for a darn good reason why it occurs. IMO EG has to be one of those who commits retribution violence to even the score and she hits her adversary, in this case JH, where it hurts the most, LUCAS.

APPARENTLY it didn’t take LE and profilers long to put her motive together, hence her arrest. She had to be removed so she did no further harm to anyone else JH loved, his daughter and her unborn child.

In nearly 30 years, I’ve not seen the lack of respect for human life that EG POSESSES. I can’t share the abuse cases that came across my desk but this is among the worst. To harm an innocent child in order to hurt his father is disturbing. LUCAS did nothing to deserve this. IMO. He was born into a a sad environment where the adults were prone to violence. He became the little boy in the way, who became a pawn in an explosive relationship.

To all the LE that worked and continue to work this case, THANK YOU. Do your best to put her right where she belongs. In prison so she can never seek vengeance on a child again. Where if she does choose violence, it will be met with an adult adversary. She should never have acces to another child. Never.

i hope each searcher, especially after LUCAS is found, fights for change in Kansas DCF before another child dies. JH it might be a good thing for you yourself to be involved in that effort. To protect the children who are exposed to violence. Someone has to change the system that so blatantly failed LUCAS.

Oh &%^& no! Flag football game between like-sized males? Sure, I'll buy that. Adult male pushing a little kid onto the couch hard enough to leave a mark? Nope. I don't care whether he intended to leave a mark or not. Just nope.

Right. Leaving the mark, evidence of the incident was accidental. Hurting the child...was not.

While we've got you on the line, I've been thinking a lot about EG and Mark Redwine both "taking a nap" (for newbies, katy and I were very involved in Dylan Redwine's case (beautiful young boy who stole many of our hearts here, disappeared from CO in 2012 and found deceased later, boy what a search and discussion that was), anyway we took a beating (and i mean I mean beeeeating) for suspecting his dad MR, who ended up eventually charged with his murder...anyway...)

Thoughts on this whole nap business?

Malik's dad (Malik Drummond for reference...talk about a little DOLL also) was "sleeping" as well. And the stepmother was "taking a bath"... (also later charged).

The nap time puts us late in the timeline. I'm thinking cleanup/cover up time...


Eta: I think Dylan's and Lucas' cases could be a good comparison in many regards.

Lets not forget Misty Croslin. Said Haily Cummings was gone when she woke up.

(I know it firsthand[emoji20]. I lost my father suddenly at 12, he was 41. My mother is a borderline personality disorder abusive nutjob and I went from my amazing, ‘marriage and family therapist’ father to living with her, essentially his polar opposite. Life was very cruel for most of my childhood years. Sometimes it’s just so unfair.)

Yes, i love that any time day or night, there is always at least one of us here, holding vigil. Sort of like the soldiers at the Tomb of the Unknowns. Watching guard.

Praying that the threat of 136 months minimum for the one charge will shake things up and give her some incentive to provide any information regarding Lucas that will help find him.

To all of the crazy, stupid and insensitive posts I keep on seeing asking Lucas' family members why they didn't "just take him" and that they let him down; Isabella & Bronte Watter's mother has just been arrested and charged with abducting her children, is now behind bars, her kids are back with their father and she is unable to see them.

Now, I'm not saying that Ms Watter did the right thing and very little information has been released about why she fled with the girls anyway, but I think it's safe to say it was to do with some kind of "alleged" abuse by the father, I happen to not really believe that story and believe more so that she just didn't want to lose her children to anyone. But point is, the girls went back to their father and are now without their Mother... it's not possible to just run with a child and it be ok. If that had of happened, Lucas would be right back where he started, likely in an even worse situation because EG would be mad he told. To take a child away from a situation and get them to safety requires assistance from agencies like CPS/DCF etc etc.

The problem here is with those agencies and the lack of care and concern from them, not with any of Lucas' family members (outside of JH).

Can anyone tell me if luminol was ever used in the rental home? I know her hands were supposedly messed up badly from all the cleaning she was said to have done. Looks more like chemical burns to me and have been going over in my head some scary scenarios as to why she'd be cleaning with bleach or similar materials. How was Lucas removed from the home? They cleared the vehicle she drove, correct?

For some reason this case is different than most I have seen, we did not hear about LE at the house processing it or removing any potential evidence , or cars being towed etc like we do in most other cases. They have been very successful in keeping things hush hush. IRC PB confirmed that EG just had some scratches on her hands at the time of her arrest.

I don’t think we have ever had confirmation that they cleared the vehicle, per say. This case really has been different in that regard than most. No info regarding luminol, either. PB said she had scratches on the tops of her hands, but no mention of chemical burns. I had asked her specifically about the hands because some were talking about bruises etc and I wanted confirmation on exactly what the state of her hands were at the time of arrest.

LE has not released any of those details at all at this time.

Going back to the initial news videos from outside the house, there were multiple LE vehicles including CSI van, K-9 unit, and FBI vehicles visible parked outside the home for at least the first 3 days after Lucas was reported missing. The reporters never really commented on their presence but they were there.

random thought: if it turns out there were forged or inaccurate doctor's notes, i wonder if EG showed these to JH in addition to the school to support her version of events?

i think there have been some good posts about how it is difficult to view JH as black or white in this situation - yes, he should have definitely done more but yes, it also seems he was manipulated & blinded by his partner.

im wondering if Lucas' abuse was something EG didnt both to cover up about w JH and he looked the other way/she knew that or if she actively was defensive/had a narrative for him about how something happened/how Lucas was clumsy.

(to be clear, im not defending JHs behavior/saying a DR note should have been proof enough for him, just trying to picture what their household & dynamic was like)

No that was just speculation on my part that the hands might have chemical/cleansing agent burns on them. I say that because when I'm cleaning tile I use a solvent that has a bleaching agent in it and my hands get all red and itchy afterwards.

I’ve gone back and looked over her KWCH interview again, several times. We’ve talked about the charges she’s faced in the past, where she and JH fought especially. It has recently come up that she lied to JH about Lucas’ whereabouts on Valentines Day.
In her interview, she talks about the couple outside, and how she would never hurt ‘her son’..and then suddenly says she shouldn’t have spoken to the reporter because of her attorneys. We know she didn’t have an attorney until later, just before her appearance on 3/13 I believe the date was...so this is yet another lie. I wonder did she say something in the interview that didn’t line up with something she had told JH (because she doesn’t seem to fear lying to LE BUT her fights with JH seem to be from her deflecting from accusations and covering something)
Speculation on my part here- just lining out some thoughts bouncing around my brain ...

I've been wondering about some of the theories about why Lucas was targeted by EG has to do with her anger, and the way she manages/deals with it. IIRC, she became angry at JH for whatever reason and lashed out at Lucas. It was recently mentioned here that JH and EG were engaged, but broke it off. Has that been verified? Is that the reason for her anger at JH? It seems EG has a fairly well-documented history of domestic violence since she's been with JH, was she like that before they got together? It probably doesn't matter in the end, Lucas is missing regardless of why, and anyone responsible should prepare for justice, because I truly believe that Lucas will not be forgotten, based on the exemplary way the folks here have responded to this crisis. I believe Lucas's loved ones, with the support of the WSers, if no one else, will not rest until justice is served. Thanks to the VIs, WS, LE, and everyone working to bring Lucas home.

So the charge against KE is from 1/11. Are we thinking the alleged crime is that she stole the rx pad or whatever on that date? Forged her first note for whatever on that date? Subsequent use of the pad on later dates are irrelevant to this charge, but once this charge is played out, they can then charge her for any other forged notes-including notes that are possibly in relation to Lucas?
