I don’t think anyone said JH is an alcoholic. Just talk about drinking/heavy drinking being common in his work. And also his appearance being rough in his mug shot

Exactly it is common in the job and who WOULDNT drink when they have the insurmountable stress he is under (I didn&#8217;t become an alcoholic - literally never ever drank - until what happened with my ex). He also looks exhausted and could be just weariness I suppose. But we don&#8217;t know <modsnip>

Sorry I&#8217;ll be better. I worked for attorneys for a long time and in politics writing statutes for longer. I once spent a week arguing MAY or SHALL in a piece of Legislation. But attorneys are a useful tool. IMO. JH has basic rights and regardless of what he might have or have not done, he needs to be very aware. Each of us here had the same rights to depend upon during any legal proceeding.

I totally agree with you and I am quite shocked he did not already have an attorney with him when he showed up today. If this court date was known to him he should have gotten counsel well before now.

That goes for anyone involved in anything serious. And to me this peripheal stuff is very serious because we dont know what more may be coming down the pipe (if anything).

I just wrote KWCH and asked them to verify the status of Hernandez and Glass, BF/GF, engaged, wed by Judge/Minister/Priest, common law or nothing. Too many differences in reporting this and it is important....will let you know if they reply.

Don’t get too wrapped up in the number amount. That is just part of the charge sheet. There has to be a numerical value tied to it so for arguments sake she did forge a note, the value would be whatever a doctor’s office visit would cost. And the identity being “stolen” would be that of the doctor. You can commit fraud by stealing an identity....the doctor.

These charges were presented right before Lucas went missing I believe? Which makes me think motive for EG's subsequent reaction. He laid hands on her child, and now the court is going to take away her visitation, so she's going to punish JH/Lucas for that

This is a really good theory. Especially since it seems whenever Lucas got a beating it was when EG/JH would fight.

I go between anxious and disheartened. Some days I’m really hopeful, but as if late I’m feeling pretty let down by the lack of news. The hearings with JH and KE have peeked my interest, but I’m just really ready for charges to be brought against EG for Lucas’ murder.

I know these things take time. I just wish it didn’t feel like forever, but once we learn about the investigation we can get a lot further in discussions to help recover this poor boy.

With knowledge of past cases, what’s your prediction.. without a body, how long for charges to be pressed?

I’m really interested to see how this plays out. When I read about the “air freshener” incident about a month ago-I think it was a transcript of the podcast, I completely lost respect for JH. I wonder if EG was alone in Lucas’s abuse. I have been wondering. Anyways, just seeing pictures of the billboards there with his little face-there’s nothing like it. He’s still in my thoughts and prayers. There are a lot of people here that Lucas has looking out for him now, even though we are too late. It still matters that we all believe HE matters.

No need to apologize, Charlie. I hope I didn't offend you. I regard you as a proud, knowledgeable and experienced person. I've carefully read all your posts and I appreciate your involvement. We are not so different, you and I. I often make unpopular posted opinions because I feel validated based on what I know to be true. Soon after, I recognize I don't follow-up with explanations to back up my thoughts, so I sometimes feel foolish and embarrassed afterwards. We're a bit older than some so the natural progression of aging follows. We tend to say whatever we want, politely but confidently. We've earned it. Age does have its benefits, my friend.

Am I allowed to say Damn Right! At times I&#8217;ve paid a high price from that experience. Might as well pass it on to someone that can use it.

Sadly though after a little little bit of gloat, I read press coverage of today&#8217;s event.

I am more xconvinced than ever EG is guilty and will remain right where she is now.

She will go to trial and LE WILL HAVE MORE TIME to find LUCAS. EG will be sentenced for child endangerment, and charges will be filed in LUCAS disappearance when the DA AND LE Has their best case to move forward.


If JH is guilty of anything it&#8217;s falling in love with a violent out of control woman. As much as I believe he probably knew about the abuse, he believed EG. and he was in denial.

I believe that his picture today is not one of a drinker, but if a father who now realizes the weight of his egregious error and the fact that his 5 yo paid the ultimate price. Judging from swollen sinuses he may smoke or had been crying.

told us they had been previously engaged, but had called off the engagement sometime in the past. She got that info directly from JH, which is going to be more reliable than from the media, IMO.

I believe it’s possible to hold two opposing emotions at once. And while I understand the majority of people wanting to paint with one color and a broad brush, I also understand recognizing the humanity of someone, even if that someone was negligent and possibly even complicit. I for one don’t discount that impulse in you.
