In the audio, you can hear Glass crying a lot -- mostly when she talks about going back to jail.

Below is a transcript from some of that audio.

Emily: I just, I feel so sorry. I put everyone through (explicit) hell.

Marsha: The only thing you can do from here is move forward.

Emily: (crying) I did Lucas so wrong. I did him wrong. That's the God's honest truth.

Emily: I don't know exactly where it's at. I just know it's in Kechi.

Emily: I'm such a piece of (explicit). I'm a piece of (explicit). I can't do jail, I can't.

Marsha: You ain't gonna do jail.

Emily: Pre-trial services is not going to let me out.

Emily: I don't understand any of this. I don't understand why.

Marsha: What do you mean? Why what?

Emily: Why would you be with me?

Marsha: Because that's what we do. it's our job

I don't know how to feel about the release of all this information prior to trial, but listening to the tape I feel so strongly that both DM and MW are absolutely amazing. Marsha was brilliant. The combination of the two of them is what really seems to make it work so well.

Me neither. It feels very Caylee Anthony the way in which all of this information is coming out. Maybe that's just my negative self.

I go to Vegas for 2 days and come back to find a complete *^%# show! WTH is going on?!

I just finished listening to the NG podcasts and the thing that I can’t stop thinking about is that Lucas’s hair was bleached when he was found. I am hoping someone here has some knowledge that will shed some light on it for me.

I have watched A LOT of crime/autopsy shows and have never heard of this occurring. Certainly not within 3 months.
That stood out to me as well. I wondered if EG actually bleached it before dumping him in hopes that IF found, no one would think it was Lucas.

Just a thought, going back to the beginning... If Lucas was deceased in his bed as EG claims and if LE brought in cadaver dogs, they would have had a hit. This would be enough reasoning for LE to state they didn't believe Lucas simply walked out of the house nor was he abducted.
Perhaps LE did bring in cadaver dogs without releasing that info - I'm pretty sure this isn't their first rodeo dealing with a step-parent who claimed she "had a nap and woke up to find the child missing"...

All speculation and, of course, MOO.

Posted by ima.grandma from article - "it's unclear where Glass is staying now that she's out of jail".

I'm surprised a reporter with his camera crew didn't follow her after she left the jail.

Justice is coming Lucas!

Oh reporters did follow her, we just haven’t heard anything beyond her first stop was the public defenders office.

Here's something else I find amazing, is that JH went to work that day the PI took Emily to find Lucas. I know the man has to work, but he had court which got postponed, the PI was there the day before for the first day. If that was me, I don't think I could drive 12 hours away, at least not for a day or two anyway. Especially since he knew the PI was taking Emily out that day. Then he had to drive all the way home once he found out Lucas was found.

Perhaps JH knew about the other man sleeping at his house and he had already ended it with EG over that. Maybe it was tense between them and he was happy to leave and go back to work.

Idk, his behavior and way of coping has been pretty lame this whole time. I think that’s just his nature at this point.

I read it as only a section of Lucas’ hair was bleached out white—- like a perfect strip from where the light entered it and hit his head. I think that’s very reasonable.

Perhaps it just brings me some comfort that although his was discarded and dumped, every day the sun rose and God said “I’m still here” with that ray of light on his head.

I'm wondering the same about the bleached hair from the sunshine. I know hair gets lighter in the summer for people, but this is a new one by me. When I first read that, my mind wandered elsewhere- especially with all of her cleaning duties performed that day.

Here is a paper on decomposition that shows stages in different environments. Please be warned, there are GRAPHIC IMAGES in this article so please do not click this link if images of decomposition will upset you. I found the paper interesting. This is from a student at “The Body Farm”.

I believe they have got a good case against EG. I think they're just using this time until the complete autopsy tox reports come in to take advantage of the extra time before discovery comes into play to work all the evidence at the prosecutor's office. I think it's clear they've suspected EG from the early days. When DM called them that he'd found the body LE would have had no choice but to arrest EG, but by choosing to not file the charges straight away they get six to eight weeks to work on this case as a priority rather than one of a hundred major cases with files building up and not enough staff to work many hours on those files and putting everything together properly. And if there are any surprises in the tox report, then this gives them a bit of breathing space.

Will the ME have given the visual and medical autopsy report to the DA, or would that wait until the tox reports are back? The prosecutor's office might already be able to work on the visual results and make sure they get the charges exactly right before they come up against a defense attorney. They might be able to start calling in experts to help them understand the forces behind injuries and whether or not a fall from a counter is enough to cause a certain skull fracture or if there needs to be a 120 lb force behind that injury. I'm not saying these injuries are present, I'm just suggesting that if they are, then they can get working on understanding the context for any injuries.

The judge said in his earlier decision that doing drugs would mean Emily did not want to be a parent. She has now openly admitted doing drugs. I think the custody judge will sever her parental rights to those boys.
And the father of her boys seems to be a BERY smart man and is very closely watching all he can find on her. Too bad we can’t sleuth him enough to send him the interview with NG as that could direct him further toward the evidence he needs. But I respect greatly our TOS here. Plus I bet he finds it fairly fast anyway, like I said, smart man!

Also there are DM's words. He's spent time with EG, he's heard her description of what she wants him to think happened, and he's had a brief look at the body.

He is saying that he doesn't believe her and he thinks she *did* something to cause Lucas' death. That's got to mean something.

I would so love to see that picture he mentioned of EG going up and hugging him after Lucas' body was found, and he said his face was one of thunder and disgust!

The PI sent JH back to work because he knew EG wouldn’t talk unless he was gone. I truly believe JH had nothing to do with Lucas’s disappearance. That said, he’s paid the ultimate price: burying one child and having the other taken away.

I understand the PI sending JH away, but no way do I understand going 12 hours away while the PI is with the woman who has told me that she did it and she is taking him to look for his body. Lucas paid the ultimate price. JH knew what was going on in the home, he knew about abuse claims and CPS, he at the very least saw the bruises, he knew EG had lost custody of her two sons, he participated in drug and violent activity with EG, IMO his choices contributed to the death of Lucas.

I appreciate the warning as I live by the old Sunday school song, ‘be careful little eyes what you see’ however I am interested in what the article might add to the discussion of hair being ‘bleached’ by the sun after death. Could you snip any text referring to that? tia

From what I understood she maintained her innocence and ignorance with JH the entire time, which was why DM sent him away, he felt he wasn’t going to get anywhere with her with JH there. And then he was shocked it all came out pretty much as soon as JH was gone... that was in the interview the PI did while driving back to NC IIRC

I think this is exactly what she did. Did she not think they would still try and find who the child was? Small bodies are not just laying all over the place. I do know there is still many to be found around Wichita. Those are all much older .

It sounds to me like it was one strip exactly where sun came through
