I’m pretty sure she was walking from chickadee towards Fincastle. Somehow they’ve been able to say with confidence that she was walking towards poplar level that night, around the 4000 block of Fincastle. The searches have also been meeting on poplar level and searching that side of the area.

I'm very confused about the details. She was walking from Fincastle Rd
to Chickadee Rd? She made it to Poplar Level Rd - or not? She was near/not near an office (not a post office?!)? What area was searched yesterday??

The post office thing was my fault and too much time had passed to correct. In one of the vids that the PI did, her sister commented that she was seen walking on the same side as Fincastle office. It’s just the leasing office of whatever they’re called. From the pics I saw yesterday, they met off poplar level and searched around that front part of Fincastle and poplar level. There’s also a creek over there and they searched around that. I’m not sure how far back into the neighborhood they went.

Thank you! I wasn't sure what kind of "office".... I got it now.

Since family lived relatively close (Fincastle and/or Chickadee) is it likely people on those streets also knew Andrea... Maybe? Do we know where Andrea was living? I'm not an active FB person so I'm struggling with some of the info.

Leonard said in the Facebook video that he did not want to disclose more details on why Andrea may have walked off in the early hours of August 13, but added that she “was pretty upset, pretty wound up when she left walking."
Louisville mom Andrea Knabel dedicated to finding missing people has disappeared

SBM: That bolded line is what I'd like to know more about... Coupled with the vague references to some "promising leads"... this is sounding more ominous actually, not hopeful IMO

I’m sure she probably knew a lot of people back there because she grew up in that area. I’m not sure where she was living bc when I did a cursory search, her address was in the eastern part of Louisville, about 15-20 mins away (driving time). I know her sister lives back there, and it also looks like her parents have a house some back there too. I think they’re doing a good job of getting her name to the media but there’s really no information, other than she left her sisters house and was seen walking on Fincastle towards poplar level. I’m sure it has to be frustrating for her family.

Louisville’s population is over 700,000 people, it’s like looking for a needle in a haystack, especially since they can’t narrow down what happened after she was on Fincastle.

The reason why she was upset could be the key. I’m sure LE is quietly investigating that. This is not looking good.

I hope LE is looking into it. I know people on SM were having an issue with them bringing PI’s in but honestly, it’s not a bad idea. LMPD is more than capable of handling it but the missing persons unit handles thousands of cases per year. I’d want to hire someone outside too if it were my family member who was missing. Keeping her in the media definitely puts pressure on LMPD to take andrea’s case seriously.

Kentucky Mom Who Helped Find Missing People Has Now Vanished Herself
Some new info but few clues.
Oxygen has picked up.
Investigators are reportedly hoping that someone who lives in the area where Knabel disappeared may find footage of the missing mom on security camera footage. Leonard asked that anyone with a security system check their footage from the morning of August 13 to see whether they may have captured any images of Knabel. Investigators are also going “door to door” in the area.

I haven’t seen any mention of SAR dogs being used. That seems odd to me, since she was part of Missing in America. That group should have had all of the info needed to quickly contact a SAR group with dogs.

If my loved one was missing on foot and I had $ to hire a PI, I would see to it that qualified dogs were used asap, even before calling the PI. Some of those dogs can also follow a scent from a moving car.

Glad your here on the thread. I hope they do. Not a lot of info re: SAR dogs but I know they had drones. However drones can not detect scent. That would be wild.
I agree with you 1000%

I noticed that they uploaded pics from the search today and they’re down by the river. That makes me a little nervous. I wonder if they have some type of info that’s putting them down there.
In another post they were hanging flyers in shively, that may be where they went to the river.
Man shively is a fur piece away from Audubon

I saw this story online and had to come see what was happening.
I wonder if she was upset because she was loosing her house or because she got news she didn't get a job or because she was being sued for custody of her kids. All this to say that the reason for her being upset can vary in many degrees. It can dictate whether to look with friends or look in trees/water etc.
I hope she's found soon. Her kids and family need her home.
