This continues to be one of the cases that tops my list for heartbreaking. Praying this trial will be swift and justice will be complete!!

It was 30 minutes to an hour between the time they noticed she was missing till she was found dead.
It's possible she was missing for 90 minutes but I doubt it was much more than that.
The circumstances of the crime made it sound like a very impulsive sort of thing. I was expecting them to discover it was done by a teenager for that reason. I was very surprised when they arrested a grown man with kids of his own.

Yeah, he doesn't fit the standard profile, age-wise.

Something that I've learned from the vast number of cases on here, is these crimes can happen in a matter of minutes. It's also quite possible that she could have been missing longer than they thought. Many of us thought it would be a teenager. I was totally shocked when it wasn't. It's JMO, but I think they have found or will continue to find terrible things on his devices. I suspect he was thinking of little else than abusing a child. It was for sure impulsive and I think he saw an opportunity and just seized it with no other thought. It's horrific.

Just checking in and sending up Prayers for the doolin family. May they find the strength needed to get through every day

I was reading back through the postings on this page to refresh a bit, and I was thinking the same thing about this horrible ~man~. I don't know how much time, money, etc., the local LEO's can devote to checking his past, but as many of us have said, this horror was very likely not his first abusive, craven and awful offense. And, seeing his picture in the most recent article, it made me think of the devil -- really. Can you imagine that girl-child's fear and horror when he was close to her and handling her? Oh, it make me wanna holler.

Yes, the Death Penalty was made for this.

When this story broke there was mention of at least one unsolved case with similar circumstances in same or a neighboring county. I wonder if there's been any news, progress on that cold case.

Does anyone know what led law enforcement to the perp ?

Witnesses at the scene pointed police in his direction. Apparently, he was acting strangely (I'm not sure in what way, I've heard rumors saying anything from nervous, to strung out.) and he was seen coming from the wooded area where Gabbi was later found. The police searched his home that same evening and collected clothing that was found to have Gabbi's blood on it.

I believe there was an eyewitness tip.

His house was searched the night she went missing and was found.

The judge presiding over the murder case against Timothy Madden has set deadlines for attorneys to make filings regarding forensic evidence.

A telephonic status conference was conducted Wednesday in Scottsville by Allen Circuit Judge Janet Crocker.

(...)

Crocker on Wednesday imposed a deadline of Oct. 7 for Madden's attorney, Travis Lock, to file paperwork requesting forensic testing of additional items of evidence that have been collected by investigators.

Willis was to provide Lock ahead of Wednesday's hearing with a list of items that have undergone forensic testing by the Kentucky State Police along with items that remain to be tested.

Willis' reply to Lock's request for additional testing must be filed by Oct. 21, according to an email from Leigh Anne Hiatt, public information officer for the Kentucky Administrative Office of the Courts.

A pretrial conference has been set for Nov. 9.

Madden hearing in Doolin death moved to December
By JUSTIN STORY jstory@bgdailynews.com 4 hrs ago

A court hearing for a Scottsville man suspected in the slaying of 7-year-old Gabriella "Gabbi" Doolin that had been set for Wednesday was rescheduled for next month.

Allen Circuit Judge Janet Crocker issued an order Wednesday rescheduling the pretrial conference for Dec. 2.

Crocker also set a Nov. 23 deadline for Lock and Willis to file any motions to be heard next month.

No trial date has been set in the case.

I was thinking of little Gabbi last night. Thinking it seemed right around a year ago. This case really tugged at me. I promised myself I would follow through until justice has been served.

Attorney plans to ask for Madden trial to be moved out of Allen County
Justin Story | Dec 2, 2016

No trial date has been set for Madden, 39, of Scottsville . . .

A pretrial conference was held Friday in Allen Circuit Court, Madden's first court appearance since July. . .

Crocker set a March 31 deadline for attorneys to file motions regarding a change of venue or suppression of evidence in anticipation of the jury trial.

The judge also imposed a June 30 deadline for any additional forensic testing to be conducted. . .

While not setting a trial date Friday, Crocker said during the hearing that her hope was that a date could be set for early 2018 for the trial to begin.

Madden was ordered to return to court July 26, when it is anticipated that a trial date will be set.

Good lord, that's a long way away. Maybe they're just setting him up to be sliced and diced by other inmates rather than incurring the expensive of a trial.

There are websites that support Madden. It should be an interesting trial.

Reading through all this has broke my heart. I really find it hard to think of any human being that is capable of doing these things to another human being, but a 7 yr old little girl? thats just INHUMAN. Its a really long wait for a trial but i hope at the end of it Gabbi's loved ones will get some justice. I seen in an earlier post, with an interview with gabb's parents that the dad said he seen Madden when the search had started. Does that mean Madden had the audacity to hang around after the attack. The question of did he go home and change clothes after the attack and stay there needs answering really, especially with Gabbi's dad saying he seen in when the search had started. Im really sorry for not adding a link, im new to this so still figuring things out. And if i have read the above wrong please do say.
