I think a lot of young people have put themselves in danger, many times unknowingly, when they party, in bars, alone. Any person who has ever hitched has put themselves in danger. There's a little thing in the back of your head that says, you shouldn't hitch, but, it's a looooong walk and what are the odds? Relatively low actually. You're more likely to die from accidentally falling.
True. People often times weigh the odds against the situation and take the chance.

I was shaking my head @ the headlight being out.

Look at the truck, that's a boy who only had enough money for a beater, and probably hadn't even realized the headlight had gone out. The LEO in GC actually pulled him over b/c of the headlight. He may have been truthful that he'd just seen his truck on t.v., five days later, as he never changed the light. Those type vehicles sell like hotcakes, and LEOs eye them everywhere they go.

OT Some don't worry as long as there is another passenger in the car and they can through the drugs on the floor near them. Other then that it's a minor misdemeanor so they don't mind.

Or they didn't notice and the car was clean. I would be more worried about attracting attention if I drank at all. Was the light still out when he was pulled over?

Not noticing wouldn't fly. Although I have seen people blame it on others that may have driven the car. But still doesn't fly. I think the headlight being out was the reason the man in the truck was pulled over. From what I have seen people don't usually call ahead to say they are coming in to talk. They usually just show up but it's possible.

Who is the man in the truck with the headlight out? Is it one of the men she was with that night? I looked back in the thread but can't figure out who everyone is referring to.

My friend and I drove her daughter to college. We went from White Plains NY to Buffalo it's an 8 or 9 hour drive. We were borrowing my boyfriend's car We made it a road trip and stopped at a casino and stayed there overnight (in a room) and drove during the day to get to the college. On our way back I'm like is a headlight out it seems really dim. We stopped at a closed gas station on a dark road and a stranger very kindly fixed it so the headlights were actually on. We had a light on but it wasn't something you should drive at night with. That car was confusing. lol. I guess the lesson is if you are linked to a disappearance fix your headlight.
Did you deal with people that would have seen themselves on the news asking people to identify them. Would having a lawyer with you for something that serious be the smart thing?

I don't know your gender, but would you make the same comment about men? And would you hold them to the same standards of risky behavior you attribute to women?
I am male. Just read an article about a man that met up for sex with a woman he met on the internet in a rough part of town. He was robbed & killed. How about the guy that drives to the inner city to buy drugs & is robbed & shot. Men can put themselves in danger & often do.

Yes. It’s one of the guys she was seen in the video with. He was pulled over in GC and claimed he was on his way to Richmond PD to give a statement bc he heard they were looking for him.

Why do you say that?
Just assuming they would care and want to help out. We had something similar happen here a few years ago and the people who owned the bar had 2 fundraisers. It was amazing. Things may vary from area to area and I understand that. The bar is under no obligation to do anything.

I not sure how to send a LINK but there is breaking news on WLEX 18 news RPD is searching a POND off of FALL LICK ROAD.
BREAKING: Richmond Police Department officials confirm a search is underway right now in Garrard County in connection with the disappearance of Savannah Spurlock. They're focusing on a pond that's off of Fall Lick Road.

I would say having a lawyer is always a good choice.
