Well that video answers a lot.

We now know that a search dog hit on a scent and that’s what led them to the latest search area. We know the pond was searched first on Saturday and then the surrounding area on Sunday. Still no sign of SS

Odd the dog leading them there was only mentioned in the very beginning of the video.

They did say the man who owned the home that was searched also owned the pond so guess the pond is located on his property. Think it was said the pond is his, not that he owned it, same thing but thinking it's on his property.

It's a crummy day to search. Today it's cold, rainy, and foggy. The roads are still wet from yesterday and we have a constant drizzle. Hopefully, though, they'll have a pretty good group of searchers out. This is meant to be the last day for the Cajuns, but other searchers will continue on throughout the week.

When I look at that picture of Savannah and see her a little upset, I have to wonder if it's because she'd been arguing with her friend.

I think she left with the men voluntarily, and I'm not sure she felt any real danger until much later. I do wonder, though, if they told her that they were going closer. Mileage-wise, Lexington to Garrard County may not look that far but it seems to take forever. 52 does go through Lancaster and connects it to Danville and Richmond, and then you have 27 that will take you up to Fayette, but it's a REALLY long drive. It's not a place I'd just pop in real quick-especially not at 2am. I have trouble reconciling the idea of Savannah telling her mother that she'd be home by later that morning, while knowing that she was on her way to Garrard County at that time of night. Going all the way down there, hanging out for a little bit, getting someone to drive her all the way back to Lex, and then turning around and driving back to Richmond? You're looking at a good 3 hours of traveling. When I was a family therapist, we covered 9 counties in central Kentucky and I remember days when I'd have to hit up Madison/Fayette/Garrard and they were very long days...When you're younger that may not bother you that much, but it's still something to consider.

This leads me to think that she didn't know where she was going until after she spoke to her mother on the phone OR there was a very good reason for her wanting to do down there.

I think she looks cold in the one picture. It's hard to tell without the video. I'm sure the police have watched it and it didn't appear as an abduction. That doesn't mean she wasn't drugged or intoxicated enough that she didn't understand how far she was going. I noticed that time can get hazy when you are drunk and in a car (not driving). Would the three guys have considered a 40 minute drive to be normal if they were more in the country? Atlantic City was 45 minutes to an hour when driving from outside of Philly and I went up there a lot when I was younger. Would Savannah have known where Garrard was?

I would imagine this home was the only place they had to go party or possibly the guy Savannah was with had his car parked at this home. Possibly she was going to be with the one man, he also was going to get her back to the car she drove but his car was parked a long way off at the home of one of the guys he went out drinking with.

All four of these people traveled a long ways to drink at this particular bar, I'm guessing. Do wonder where the three men lived or two other men lived?

SP had to get a ride from someone either back to her car or home because her friend had already left the bar. She didn't have money for a cab or Uber. She couldn't ask Mom for a ride as she had her car and left it at another location,

The one man she was seen in video holding on to may simply have been because she walking on gravel or grass in 4 inch high heels, it doesn't definitively point to or away from wanting an intimate hook up IMO. She had just delivered twins, she might not have even been physically able to be intimate yet.

I think she was basically stranded and needing a ride. The guys may have offered her a ride after a 'quick stop' by their house for a drink or drugs and it went bad quickly. I don't know that SP was ever in that house, but we do know she was in the car that was towed. :(

Savannah would've known where Garrard was. HWY 52 runs straight through Richmond and if you follow it then you hit Paint Lick (just a wide place in the road) and then Lancaster. Lancaster's a cute little town, but in Richmond you wouldn't have much of a reason to go to it unless you know someone there or you want to go to on Danville. Still, you're aware of it. For one thing, one of the biggest roads in Richmond is Lancaster Avenue. The university sets on it. With that said, she may not have known where it was from Lexington. Whenever I think about getting to Lex from Garrard County, or vice versa, I have to really think about it. I could see her being there and being like, "Can we even get there from here?"

If the guys were from that area or had lived there for a long time, going to Lex was probably not a big deal, though I would almost bet money on the fact that they didn't go there often. It's where you'd go if you wanted a big night out, something special, but not a place you'd go to if you just wanted to drink. I feel the same way about Savannah's choice to go there. If you just wanted to get out and drink, there are more than enough places in Richmond. If you go to Lex, it's because you want a big night-something different.

When I lived in a big city, it was nothing to spend 30-45 minutes to get across town. In this area, though, it's different. On the map the distances don't look that far, but for those of us who live here, we're not jumping into the car and driving that distance for anything casual. In fact, many of us try to avoid Lexington if we can. There are generally other, closer places for the things you want. Lexington is a nice town, very pretty with a dining scene that gets better every day, but it's not a "destination" for most of us-at least not unless we're going there for something special.

Her friend said that she didn’t think Savannah would go all the way to GC. Savannah told her mother she would be home by morning. She had just had twins so sex would not have been safe from what many of you are telling me. So I’m doubting she meant to go to GC for that kind of hook-up, or for anything. When I was her age, if we were doing anything at 2 am after a night of drinking, it was likely we were heading to a nearby Waffle House for breakfast and to sober up.

I’m betting Savannah thought they were heading to a Waffle House or something, then back to her car so she could drive home. Just because they ended up in GC doesn’t mean she willingly went there. I have gotten in a car before, believing we were headed one place, only to be taken somewhere else. I know what it’s like to have the mood suddenly change when you realize what’s actually happening.

How do you know she had no money? I know the Mom said she had no money but why would you go to a bar and have no money? You could but that too leaves you in a vulnerable situation, seems unlikely to me.

I'm not seeing her holding the man's arm because of wearing heels and walking on grass, the pavement is right next to the grass and the other man is walking on the pavement. Looks to me she went where the man she is with went because she wanted to be with him I hate to think she left with all three and didn't have a connection going on with at least one of them. I am thinking she felt safe because of a close connection she had made with the guy she's pictured walking with. No way to know for sure but we all form our own opinions and you could be right with yours and I'm wrong.

If she did leave with all three just to party that doesn't sound good for her and the way the men may have viewed her.

It hasn't been stated when SS gave birth, but 12/1 has been generally used in this thread. That would make it 4-5 weeks after childbirth when she went missing.

However she felt about the man she was pictured walking with or what their plans were, there opinion of her shouldn't matter. You make an awesome point about the money we know she had a purse and a phone. Why would she go to a bar without money? She could have used an uber app. She could have called a taxi. They will drive you home where you can get money if you don't have enough. One of those guys could have driven her to her friend's or to her house.

And others have said it was much more recent. I’m not sure where anyone is getting any of the dates that have been used. I wish someone would explain how they are coming up with any of the date ranges.

Also I really didnt realize the other bar was quite as far from the home in garrard county as it is. Google maps says 43 miles and 59 minutes in normal traffic.

The clip said nothing about the ownership of the pond.
Correct what actually was said was( that the pond was near the home that had previously been searched by authorities)indirect quote. And based on the evidence of MSM video and photos shared, the home is actually a couple miles north of the pond but on the same road. MOO

The clip said nothing about the ownership of the pond.

At time 56 she says the pond belongs to the man where Savannah was last seen with. In my earlier post I said (don't remembered my exact words) I didn't think it said he owned it but what was said made it sound like it was on his property which would mean he owned it.
Maybe he owns the property and maybe he's paying on it but on his property is what I take, belongs to the man, to mean.

CORRECTON
You're right it says the home belongs to the man not the pond. Sorry

How do you pay for drinks? Her Mom said she was highly intoxicated. Guess she could have drank a lot before going to the bar, guess her friends she went to the bar could have paid, guess she could have had a tab at the bar, possibly she's a hustler of drinks but seems strange to me she would go out without a means to pay for anything which is what her Mom seemed to be saying when she said why would she leave the mans house, she had no money. Also her Mom had said she left her credit cards at home and her wallet in the car. Media articles have said she left wallet in car but also said purse. Not sure what is being referred to.

And at night, that drive feels forever. It's a beautiful drive...in the daytime. Garrard, Boyle, Lincoln, Jessamine...you've got rolling hills and fields and farmland. Some old, abandoned farm houses here and there. All rural in between the towns-towns that still look and feels small even with some of the urban sprawl that Danville, Nicholasville, and Harrodsburg are getting. From Crab Orchard up to Lexington is also nice. Taking the Valley View Ferry from Richmond over to Jessamine County and then driving on up to Shakertown. VERY beautiful area. All of it is kind of what you'd expect small town, farming country to look like. Yes, we have problems with drugs (who doesn't right now) and the further east you go, the harder it is to find jobs. A lot of our downtowns have turned to ghost towns with boarded up windows and dusty storefronts. A bipartisan issue is to complain about having "nothing to do" and reminiscing about the good old days when we were all kids and the town still had X.

There are a lot of wonderful things about the area. Distances, however, are deceiving. When you live in the country and you have to drive 15-20 minutes just to get to a Dollar General (like me) you get used to spending a lot of time in the car. Even our "good" roads around here are long, curvy, and potentially unsafe after dark. We joke that we have driven such-and-such road so many times that we could do it with our eyes closed, but I swear some people actually give it a whirl. We're not boring people who all go to bed when the sun goes down, but we do keep time, distance, and gas money in mind. A lot of people have to work in communities other than the ones in which they live and driving all week can get tiresome and expensive. When we can, we try to stay close.

Some questions that I have are:

- Why, specifically, were the men in downtown Lex that night? Were they celebrating something? Had they been to another bar first? Concert?
- How often did the men go up to Lex and what is their usual hangouts?
- Was there a reason why Savannah went up Lexington that night? The Other Bar is nice enough, but she passed up bars in Richmond that, IMO, are even nicer and much closer to home.
- Was Savannah just expecting to drink and have fun or was she actually looking for a hookup?
- What was her argument with her friend REALLY over?
- Did she know she was going down to Garrard County? If so, how was she expecting to get back home? To get the car?
- Were any other calls made from her phone or to her phone that night, either before or after she spoke to her mother?
- Was she really intoxicated when she left the bar? We've heard that she was and that she wasn't.
- Did she ever make it to the guy's house?

I have other questions that are much nosier. Like, was she on any medication (for anything, even a sinus infection)? Something that may have interacted with alcohol?

There are people close to this crime (and I do think it's a crime) who have been publicly quiet. There are lots of things I'd like to ask them.

I think its quite possible the no money comment may be being taken out of context. Perhaps her mother may have meant no money as in insufficient money to just take off. I think its highly likely that she did in fact have enough money to cover a normal night out. JMO

eta : watching some of the interviews, It seems plausible to me that the mother was trying to squash any ideas that she disapeared of her own voliton.

Just take Off? Do you mean like in run away from her life?

Great post! I myself live in a rural area in ohio and can identify with many of the same logistical realms of daily life such as in your area of kentucky. Thanks for the great local insight! Also I have many of the same questions and hope that we may one day very soon have those answers!
