Since this is an official search and rescue site from Canada you can link to the site. Please don't copy and paste all their posts. You can post a quick general description of what the post says then link to it.
Hope that makes sense.
Thank you Tricia! I posted a pic using the image address. Hope thats ok too.

Awwww! Wonder how he’s going to like those booties if he’s not used to them. My dog hated them! :p
Mine too. Never had a dog that would wear them lol. I'm guessing they may wear something similar to protect their paws in floods where they might step on something that can't be seen or bad terrain?

I’ve been following this thread and I’m so worried about Savannah. I truly hope she was overwhelmed and could not deal with all she had on her plate at such a young age and just left. I doubt it though. :( She may have been troubled or just immature like many of us were, but she deserves the chance to figure it all out.
I obviously have no idea what happened to her, but I feel like an accident or OD is possible. I think it’s also possible she did leave that house on foot, but I wish we knew what exactly those guys told the police about her demeanor and why she left. And then where is she? I also think it’s possible PPD could have played a role. Or maybe it was just foul play. IDK, but none of the possibilities are good IMO. :( I do hope she is found today.

I was thinking absolutely the same thing and I felt crazy. When I compare the photos of her that we have seen, I can't hardly believe they are all of the same person. I am sure they are, I am not questioning that, I am just stating that it is difficult to look at a photo and identify when she has so many different looks.

Some of have remarked that some photos used were nearly four years old. If they used a 4-5 year old photo of me, to search for me, I'd probably look different too. We sometimes gain and lose weight, change our hairstyle, hair color. It is very important that recent pictures, are used in a search for someone.

I'm curious about how the cold and snow effect scent dogs! We know when things freeze up they don't smell. Also with snow covering scents how would that be?
Sounds like mission impossible these men and dogs are on!
One other thought. I think I read it's only a couple men and one for so they must have a specific place they are looking!

You can link to the posts. Since I am not familiar with this page I am assuming it is an official page of the search and rescue organization Right?
Yes, the page belongs to and is run by Cajun Coast Search and Rescue. The pic I posted is a pic directly posted by them using the pic address.

Omg, it’s sooooo cold here! I grew up on Lake MI but I really can’t recall this Polar Vortex stuff. Maybe, because I was younger. We have no snow, the winds are roaring. I worry for the dog. People can dress.

There's a photo of at least one dog in a vest. Windchill is 10 degrees so it's still above zero. They have a weather guy who will issue a weather code if he thinks it may be a dangerous forecast.

I’m from Louisiana where the Cajun rescue team is located. We’re very use to wet and humid weather but it only snows about every 10 yrs and only a inch or so. Hopefully the team has trained in cold and snow. I wish them luck. This momma needs to be brought home.

I think they’re going to luck out on the snow part. It’s so cold though. I just spent the morning walking between classes and it’s ridiculously cold. I have to park farther in off campus parking and the cold was making my face hurt. I would start warming up by the end of clsss and then have to go back outside and walk to my next class.

I’m curious about that too. The ground is definitely frozen but there’s no snow. It’s going to be really cold tomorrow and then go back up to above freezing temps on Thursday and warm up a little the following days. I feel bad for their little dog noses :( my nose was stinging from the cold air this morning and their noses are smaller and more sensitive :(

I think it is a specific area. This is day 25, dogs and their handlers, who are experienced team, can pick up tracks that are weeks, and maybe even months, old (cadaver dogs). If her trail is not picked up at all, in that area, down that road, in those fields, then there will be a harder look toward those boys (imo). The team will only come in if LE agrees. So they work in conjunction with LE, when there, is my understanding.

Members of the Cajun Coast Team arrived in Kentucky around 2 a.m. Tuesday morning. They bring with them a K-9 to help with the search for Savannah.

A total of about five people are expected to join the search from Louisiana. They will meet with emergency officials on Tuesday morning to find out where their search area will be and if they will be able to ask for help from the public.

I doubt she left on foot.

Jmo

I agree. There’s a good chance KSP has brought dogs already. I think they’d push that narrative harder if they really thought she walked off and succumbed to the elements.

If something did happen to her, I worry about the amount of time that went between her missing and when the guys were interviewed (if they had anything to do with it). You can get to three different states, there and back, in roughly 12 hours or less. Those are just surrounding areas.

The fact that the team choose to go after watching weather is a good sign. I don't think they would have if they thought wind and snow would interfere with the scent needed for a dog to work. JMO

Yes I had to take that into consideration when I was pondering the weather and ability to do a good search.
From all I've read they are really good so fingers crossed her family and friends get some answers.
