Personally, I believe it was a Freudian slip! He was clearly distracted and it just fell out of his mouth because he let his guard down. IMO

I don't. I think he did not hear the question. I watched both Dr Phil shows and he is just not the brightest bulb in the pack.

I believe his father was a monster. Had he never gotten his hands on Josh. He would never had been anywhere near this if his father did not get out of prison. I believe the that JG is the killer, and the master mind.

Oh .....I believe his father was fully involved.

I think his father did play the entire thing like a chess game, they were both there and they both played a role in killing Trey.
Father believed & is encouraging his son to now return the favor and accept all the responsibility so he can go free. He watched one too many movies & trusted his son... the son didn't fall far from the tree.
I noticed how daddyo mentions double jeopardy and how they couldn't do anything to Josh now.

What do you all think about Cassie's appearance and lie detector test?

What do you all think about Cassie's appearance and lie detector test?

I've been wondering about her myself. Clearly she is terrified of JG, but I don't know about her...I really thought she was being truthful. I was stunned when she failed that test. Maybe she really wasn't clear on who actually said who killed Trey. She was woken up from a deep sleep. I just don't know. That is one TT family, that's for sure.

I really feel like both JG and JY were involved. Why else would Josh Young's defense be willing to try and get a plea deal??

I'm rethinking my thoughts about JY since he wouldn't take the polygraph. I think he may have been accessory. I've always thought cassie was lying and scared off JG.

I agree, Cassie is terrified of him imo. I don't think she is sure who told her what or even if she would pass one no matter what the question was. However, I absolutely believed her.

I just want to add... JY is one freaking cold, scary young man. He is still wearing his mask but I do not think it will be for long.

I can see why polygraphs are never used in court due to their unreliability. I remember during the Jessica Lunsford case when LE said that Ruthie Lunsford failed hers and when LE said Steve Greone failed his yet both of these people were truthful.

I believe Cassie. Out of all the characters she seemed the most believable. At least she wanted to take a poly.

I am not surprised that Josh Young refused to take the polygraph even though a guilty result wouldn't land him back in prison because of double jeopardy. He had nothing to lose by taking the test.........yet he refused. He was afraid the test would show the real truth.

He continues to still give me the creeps. He makes the hairs rise on my neck just looking at him. He has dead eyes, imo. No remorse, no care in the world that Trey lost his life. Never thinks about him. It sounds just like other interviews I have seen done from inside of prison where teens have murdered someone in their family. They say they never think about them anymore either.

And for those who say he isn't the brightest bulb in the box........it came out that Josh Young is quite smart and did very well when he was in school. He may look dumb but he isn't.

IMO, he got away with murder and he is as smug as they come because he knows it.

JG may have been the mastermind but the killer of Trey is Josh Young, imo.

Like Trey's mother said on DP, Trey would have never gone down in the woods with JG alone but he would go with JY who pretended to be his best friend.

And JG raised JY from infancy to around 6 years old until he was sent to prison. Those are the formative years. He made JY just like him. And just as soon as he got out of prison he got custody of JY again.

Exactly. Innocent people aren't willing to plea.

Now I wish Trey's family had agreed to the plea.........instead they are left with no justice for their son and a killer walked free.

I go by the evidence and not big Josh's lying mouth. There was never any evidence in the trial connecting JG to Trey's murder.

I found Cassie to be a pleaser. I think Dr. Phil's staff put undue pressure on her and she said what she thought they wanted her to say and they convinced her that she wasn't really sure what she saw and heard that night. They manipulated her to make a fool out of her for ratings, imo..

I don't think she was lying. She did not have to come there and be ridiculed on DPs show. I think she came so the truth could be told to Trey's family.

I hated how DP and his assistant was rude to her and yet DP handled JY with kid gloves.

What do you all think about Cassie's appearance and lie detector test?

I think it proves that JG got these people to set JY up to make him look guilty.

I think when you are a scared kid, That you will ask for a plea because you are scared carpless.

I believe that JG killed Trey.

I think he just is scared. I think he is scared everyday and trusts no one now..

Anyone that has seen his videos would know Josh Young is not a scared kid.

He is a punk and proud of it, imo.

IMO

He may be a punk but that does not make him a killer.

Forgive the autocorrect. Tapatalk has a mind of its own. :)

Here is an interview JY did right before the Dr.Phil show.
Notice at 4:15 he says "I did it and I got away with it"...

Raw Video: Josh Young talks to WHAS11 - YouTube

The video isn't working anymore. But I saw it here:

THat is VERY STRANGE. I don't know what to make of it. Was it a mistake? Or did he mean exactly what he said - was it some kind of "duper's delight"? Like, lemme just confess right here and watch, they won't even get it. I can just see his mind in the background during that segment going, "these people are so dumb....". IMO, that's exactly what he's thinking when he's doing his interviews. Maybe he got bored and was like, lemme just play with them and they won't even catch it??

Earlier in the segment he has said, I wasn't acquited b/c I did it and got away with it, I was acquited b/c I DIDN"T do it. And then later he says, I got away with it and I did it, they're gonna find out I didn't do it. And if they don't, can't get stuck on what they think.

Just strange. When he's saying it, he has kind of a smirk on his face which makes me think he was doing some kind of duper's delight. But then right afterwards, he gets a look on his face like, oh dang I just messed up right there. Like he realizes he made a mistake? Kind of smiling, like, hey look at what I said by mistake, and they didn't even catch it.

:scared::scared:

I haven't watched the Dr Phil interview yet (still can't believe I completely missed it!), but during that WHAS11 interview posted earlier, it's so strange when he won't answer the question of if he missed Trey or if he thinks of Trey??

:scared:

I read about a case where there was a wealthy man as the defendant. No one else had or was willing to come forth with information, but there was this escort lady who apparently he had told everything to (guess he figured no one would believe her or she would be too scared to come forward). They said she testified, and the jurors didn't believe her. They guy got away.

Then come later, they find some new evidence, and turns out the murder had happened exactly the way the escort said he told her it did. Everything she said had been the truth.

I think it's the same with the witnesses in JY case. THe jurors, IMO, judged them. Looked at them and thought, they can't be telling the truth. Even though it was not only 1 person, it was several people saying essentially the same thing. I guess they couldn't believe that JY and JG would tell anyone what happened. Well, they did. It happens. They couldn't keep it a secret. They almost wanted the whole world to know what they did, IMO. They were proud of what they did, IMO. They told them, I believed all of them. Cassie, her husband, the friends. I believe JG and JY told them exactly what they said he told them.

I've been thinking about this slip-up some more (while watching the Dr. Phil interview). During Dr. Phil, JY answers seem pre-rehearsed....like he had to memorize them. The "I wasn't acquitted b/c I did it and got away with it, I was acquitted b/c I DIDN"T do it" line felt the same way during the WHAS11 interivew.

So I think he had a slip-up b/c he messed up with his lines. If you think about it, if it's the truth, it will just roll off your tongue easily. How can he go to saying something totally OPPOSITE, if it's the truth? As Juan Martinez always said during Arias trial, "Ain't got nothin' to remember when it's the truth."

He was distracted, as another poster said. He couldn't concentrate. He was also getting restless and bored. He couldn't concentrate and focus on his lines.

So he messed up with his lines. Because that's what they are. Because he's lying.
