It makes me very uncomfortable that its a queen size comforter that is missing. I thought it was her blanket, like a "blankie" that she would be able to carry, but I have trouble wrestling my queen size comforter. That makes me feel like an adult had to have taken it from her room, not that she took it downstairs or outside with her.

My kids, who are both close in age, would be dragging a twin sized comforter. A queen one would require help. But it might be a security item, if it was someone she knew.

I know it happens that children are snatched from their room without their parents hearing anything, but the fact that the accessories are gone is bothersome to me. How could they/why would whoever took her have that kind if time?
I wonder if its possible that her mother and step-father weren't actually home when she was taken. Maybe she was left home alone?

And if it was Ahlitta that wanted to take the items, what six year old is going to be quiet getting them? She'd be squealing not to forget something.

It could be possible she was left alone or that the parents took something to sleep.

fyi, Louisiaina does not have counties. There are parishes. This would be Jefferson.
Huh? Where did I mention counties in my post?

I've lived in New Orleans my entire life. I know the difference. ;)

I live across the river in Jefferson Parish and we had an incident a few weeks ago with another little girl. A six-year-old, also black, was snatched out of her community pool in front of others. She was later found the same day at another location, but not before being sexually assaulted. They arrested a suspect after video surveillance caught him and his possible vehicle.

After that incident, hearing about Ahlitta gives me a really bad feeling. I'm originally from that side of the river and know it has gotten bad the past several years.

Was that perp caught? tks for the info

I'm glad there is a POI ,,,,,, I know it doesn't mean a lot but there have been a LOT of missing kids with no POI ever even mentioned and that gets discouraging really quick. I wonder if he's a POI only because of where he lives and his history or if there is something else that raised LE's eyebrow !

Those new photos... are they surveillance photos of Ahlitta after she was reported missing? Are those the clothes she was suspected of wearing?

ETA: Because she's in a hotel lobby, and then an elevator. :( Please let those be old photos.

He's not even in the registry, so it's just pure luck they had his name for the other crime.

JPSO going door to door through Woodmere subdivision passing out flyers of the POI.

I found a caption for it on a website - it said:

"The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office released a new photo, right, of Ahlittia in the gray tank top and pink pajama pants that she was wearing when last seen on Friday night. The photo was taken at a grocery store before she went missing."

I'm pretty far away from LA - did they say what the possible connection to the POI is? Did he live in their complex?

Are the middle and right picture of Ahlitta from the night she went missing?

1.Last seen wearing grey tank top and pink pajama pants. I'm thinking these are video stills? Could be from any time, but I think this is a very important question.

2. I mean no disrespect to mom, but in that news interview she sounds as if she is describing the events leading up to misplacing a wallet or something-not her baby. The lack of any emotion at all throws me.

3. Is it common for LE to name a poi just because he was connected to another crime (and by just because I don't mean to belittle his other victim) and lived in the area? I mean, wouldn't that just fall under "we've interviewed all rso's in the area"? Maybe he is missing too?

Honey, I hope you're safe.

In the new flyers, it does appear that in the photos on the right, she has on pink pajama pants, and a white or grey tank top. There are character prints all over both, so it's hard to tell. But does her hair look braided in them?

Just trying to figure out why LE would put surveillance type photos on a flyer, and not photos provided by family that were clearer unless they think this is her after her abduction. Could she have worn that clothing on an outing with her family earlier in the day?
