When I was just barely 21, living in Gretna, across the river from NO the business that I worked for had a softball team that I played on. We would go out drinking after the games and I got to know some of the other girls from a different team that we played against frequently.

After knowing them casually for a while, I was asked by one if I would be interested in making some extra money going out to dinner with men. The term escort was never used. When questioned I was told it was simply dinner no favors.

Even though I was young, naive and oblivious to the dangers that lerked in the big city, my flags still went up when I was told, lets just say, these were men that were involved in organized crime.

I found it hard to believe that with the amount of money, gifts, clothing picked out for me to wear ahead of time, that there wouldn't be requests for favors. I also couldn't get out of my mind the thought of overhearing something I shouldn't and knowing that I would be easily disposable, more specifically alligator food, where I would never be found. This thought was enough to keep me from participating.

When I look back now, there were a lot of sinister characters that I could easily have fallen prey too, besides the above scenerio. I was naive, trusting and invensible at that particular time of my life.

What am I getting at here??? I think it's the fact that even though I was a foreigner to the city, I was well aware that if you wanted to dispose of a body for it never to be found, there are plenty of alligator infested swamps to do that in.

I tried to keep an open mind at the beginning of this case and not be jaded by my experience or the opinions of others local.

But, as SmoothOperator said, her body was methodically dismembered. She was not disposed of in many of the swamps available where she wouldnt have been found.

Either these two, took a lot of time and effort to dismember her and then were stupid enough to put her somewhere besides the swamps, or someone wanted this to be seen. My mind does not want to go to the degree of sickness that something bigger than the two of them were involved and this is a isolated incident.

To many cases I have seen people get the dates wrong . Until we know for sure that both of them are on tape in the other places I have my doubts it was the same night. Like I said TS looked like he walked in there for a reason and one reason only. IMHO

Ok, :truce: I just value you opinion and wanted to hear more. :D

Maybe they thought if they dumped her in Mississippi it wouldn't be traced to them in N.O. maybe that's y they cut her up to not be identified remember no hands(fingerprints) have been found.. who knows what they did w/ them. and history shows usually when a dancer comes up missing no one really looks into it. IMO I think they went to extremities to avoid getting caught but it didn't work!

They left her identifiable tattoos and jewelry. I don't believe the dismemberment was for identification purposes.

Just thinking out loud.... (or typing as the case may be)...

I am still thinking there is a bigger fish that TS and MAS were accommodating....

But the short amount of time of lure, murder, dismemberment (sorry, hate typing that) seems a trip to MS would be too much for the time table.

Why does the person with the Big Bucks have to be from MS?

Why can't he be from LA, and have been waiting in the car while TS and MAS were making their "catch"?

Could there maybe a private house/mansion/party-site in between LA and MS where the four stopped, unknown person did the deed, and the body is placed in the water?
TS and MAS may have not known the ultimate outcome, but had to go along with it for their own "safety"?

Big fish is still in hiding in private residence, and TS and MAS are caught on tape so they look like the killers?

They don't want to rat out the unknown guy because he/she could have 'friends' inside prison, too?

JMO

That's been my theory, a high roller and a site between LA and MS. The latest news is pointing to Long Beach, MS, however, as the location where the remains entered the water. So, the locale might change, but not necessarily the other circumstances.

Thinking out loud again....
If there was a big fish in MS, why would he wait until that late at night to line up an additional girl. I mean putting myself in his shoes, he obviously would not be doing this out of the kindness of his heart, there would have to be something in it for him. With that motivation, you would think he would have set this whole thing up earlier in the young lady's shift to have it lined up to head to the BIG Fish...

That being said, it makes me wonder if there was a Big Fish at all. If you take what the first dancer said, first it was as a gift o him for the night, then turned into a party for cash. That would throw red flags up for me being that dancer. So, did they feed the same line to the second dancer? I think what they said to her is very important. It would show if the story changed (the lure) if you will.

I know all we can do is speculate. But basic human nature tells you, you have a big fish, a promise of something for bringing in a girl for a party. Would you not set that up earlier in the evening. Help me here, something is off, cannot put my finger on it...hmmmm
Big Fish tend to travel and operate on their own time lines. Perhaps someone just getting into town for a visit in MS?

However, the thing you mention about the initial proposition to the other dancer is one of the few things tending to negate the Big Fish theory. MAS would have had no reason to initially tell her it was for a gift to TS rather than a party. Of course, both MAS and the dancer (did ya'll see her interviewed in the news clip, she was pretty out of it) don't appear to be the most clear and consistent minds, so it's hard to say.

I think you can not try to put too much intelligent thinking into it, you have to remember the players and think like they would.

My sentiments exactly...

We are not looking at employees who are working for advancements in a company.

Planning ahead and showing organizational skills are not expectations at the top of the list for these possible gophers.

She did look pretty zoinked...

Mahmoo, every time I read your name, I hear Zydeco music in my head.

Oh s’en allez à Grand Mamou
Jolis mondes, mais jolie fille
Moi j'connais j'mérite pas ça
Hey ha-ha, hey Mignonne
Oh mais moi j'men va,
Moi tout seul à Grand Mamou

Agatha C....

The phrase at the bottom of your posts reminds me of the Serenity Prayer:

God...
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change..
the courage to change the things I can...
and the wisdom to know the difference.

You're reading my mind, Mook. If my impression of TS is correct, he's a street hustler who knows how to work the crowd. "Big fish" usually have a good eye for the guy who can deliver the goods and keep his mouth shut. JMO.

I think it is looking like it is pretty safe to say that JL was put in the water between just west of BSL and LB MS. The time frame had to be sometime early On the day she went missing and Thursday when her body was found.

I 'm not sure that searching from Long Beach to BSL means that Long Beach would be the point where remains entered the water. Am I missing something?

It seems to me that Long Beach would be where the remaining body parts/murder weapon might have drifted since they were dumped...presumably to the west of BSL.

I think they are searching back from the point the last body part was found ie east the west.

Not sure if anyone has posted it yet but wdsu has a timeline of the investigation on their website is it ok to post the link?

Does anyone think there was no party n this is what could have led to an argument? Jl wasn't dumb n although always smiling, was not one to keep quiet.

Perhaps they dumped the body parts off of the pier thinking that was far enough out from shore for them to drift out into the ocean.

Sorry. I'm not following. The last body part was found in Pass Christian. Long Beach is east of Pass Christian.

Maybe wishful thinking but would there be cameras on the piers where the boats are docked? Are these public or private docks? Sorry, I know nothing about this kind of thing.
