I think MAS changes her hair color so often, that she wouldn't need any help, especially at 2:00 am. IMO, their reason was nefarious purposes for luring Jaren that night.

As an aside, it does seem odd that LE needed to release the video to the public. Appears LE did not get cooperation from the door "woman" and others on duty that night before making the video public. Must be a close-knit communiy, all right, on Bourbon Street.

I don't think it was necessarily that people on Bourbon Street didn't know who they were. He was going under a false name of Rice and it's possible that no one on Bourbon Street knew where they lived in Kenner. So, by releasing the video there location was pinpointed.

Of course a few bucks to the right person down there could cause information to be given to LE to try and throw them off.

This information came out after the arrest, not after the video was released, yes? Why didn't these potential victims mention these solicitations prior to the arrests? The video was everywhere.

I might be wrong about the timing, but I just don't feel the reports are solid enough. Too convenient. A frame for the puzzle instead of a piece of the puzzle.

Pure conjecture.

I'm probably wrong. My intuition could be on the blink.

The same thing dawned on me. Did these girls go directly to police when Jaren didn't show up for work on Wednesday or whenever word got out that she was last seen leaving with TS. Someone at her club knew she had left with him iirc because she left early.
Did the bf check with the club (I think I read he did but it doesn't open until ? - did he contact the manager - whomever?)

BBM: Moo. I think LE did get a name and they all knew him as Allen and they police could not track him as that was an alias. So they knew who but didn't know where and that is what they needed public help. All post I saw, everyone was more than willing to tell who it was....

LE took several bags of *evidence* from the Sanchez house in Kenner, as well as other items, including what looked like a window screen(?), and searched the area behind the house too. It makes me wonder what exactly was found there and if they took their computer (if they had one).

The screen was a tool used for sifting the dirt in the backyard.

The media reports are getting confusing as usual.

I would like to know what cities and states TS has actually been in and when. Was he actually in PA and San Diego as stated in previous reports?

If so, what took him to those locations. Did he have friends or family there? Same with LA. Why did he choose to go there?

I live in Long Beach now and have been to the pier several times. You can find people there fishing all hours of the night, but few and far between. I mean, it's not crowded there and can be very secluded late at night, especially at the very end of the pier, though it's not unusual to see people out there late at night.

But there's traffic on 90 all hours of the night as well and a Waffle House almost right across from it. The parking area is very visible to Hwy. 90. Somebody could very easily dump something from the end of that pier under the cover of darkness and go unnoticed...however, their car may be noticed in an almost empty parking area where it's a little more lit. The beaches in this area offer alot of seclusion late at night too in some areas..though, again, not unusual to see people there all hours of the night and morning.

That doesn't look like the Long Beach pier in the picture of Jaren.

She can't have been put in the water in LB since the current runs east and BSL is west of LB. There are many piers for fishing late at night, some are lit up pretty well. If they happened upon one in the wee hours of the morning with no one out there, carrying a big cooler, no one would be the wiser. Given the reports on the condition of the body parts, I believe she was in the water too long to have been put in near here. But we really don't know very much....I SURE hope LE knows a lot more than we are being told. Otherwise...well, we won't talk about the repercussions of that.

I just want to interject an important point. Everyone is, of course, wondering what ruse was used to lure Jaren away. Here is an important point. TS had reportedly worked in the French Quarter as a doorman, barker or something like that. So he was part of the "in" crowd. He was supposed to be a good guy, a safe guy who looked out for the girls.

He might have creeped me or you out with his looks but odd looking people are a dime a dozen in the Quarter. Lots of great people with the hugest hearts may look odd and work in the Quarter.

Many of the workers in the French Quarter have a bond and even hang out together after work. The guys often walk the girls safely to their cars. The guys who work with the girls in the places in the Quarter are seen as "safe". They are supposed to be the good guys. And for the Quarter? Well honey, TS actually fairly normal looking compared to some of the colorful people of the FQ!

So Jaren may not have really seen him as a threat, especially if he had his girlfriend with him. Now based upon the report that allegedly one girl says they tried to pick her as a "treat" for him and even offer another story and $700 dollars. She turned them down and so they had to go to plan B.

So if the first girl said "no" to their request, wouldn't they change it up a bit for the next person. Maybe make it less threatening and more profit? Maybe make just a friendly overture for a ride home so she didn't have to wait for a cab and pay for it. I am sure the cab fare each day was not cheap. So that might be an incentive. Just a casual ride home between friends could have been enough.

If the first girl is telling him the truth and had turned him down then that might have made TS mad. Maybe he was going to make sure the next one (Jaren) did not have the chance to reject him. After all, the other girl looked at him and turned him down. Sex offenders and perverts don't like rejection. So they had to make sure they got the next one. Maybe MS knew she had better come thru in getting his "treat".

So the lure could have been as simple as a ride home. Telling Jaren that they would give her ride home if she could leave then. Who wouldn't want to go home early from work? I don't think it was a busy night. So think about it. Jaren could work another half hour and maybe not even make enough in that time to make it worth working that extra half hour and then pay for a cab. Why not skip the few extra bucks she might make and eliminate the cost of a cab and get home early from work? Sounds like a win for me. I would be tempted, especially if it was co-workers asking me, not just a single guy but a guy and a girl that I knew.

So we can all come up with wild ideas on what it took to lure her but it could have been simple. Maybe they offered her a chance to dye their hair and they would pay her big money. Maybe they just said lets go eat and then we will drop you off. Maybe they offered to bring her by walmart to pick up some stuff before going home to her fiancé. After all, Jaren didn't have a car so that would be a bonus. Save the cab fare and get things she and her fiancé may have needed at the motel.

So yeah, maybe they lured her with the promise of big money. They could have said they wanted her to do their hair and they would pay her good money. That's innocent enough, right? No obvious danger there, right? Maybe they said she could make more money doing their hair in an hour rather than staying in the club, plus would get a free ride home.

Ok so I know this was a long post and I appreciate you staying and reading this far in it. I don't rule out that they offered something less innocent than a ride and quick cash for dying their hair. Heck they could have said something stupid like $1000 dollars to dance at a bachelor party for an hour. "Hey, come surprise this groom, the girl who was supposed to dance got sick. It's only an hour and it will be well worth your while. It’s strictly dancing and it pays good."

I am not in denial and saying Jaren was completely without flaws and never did anything wrong. We all screw up and do things we are less than proud of. I’d hate to be a victim of murder and then have millions of people judge my life and my choices. Wow, you just don't know how I would hate that and all my history contains is being a school teacher, librarian and first responder. But i would hate to have my life and choices scrutinized. No matter what, she didn't deserve this, she didn't bring this on herself in any way shape or form. We've all made questionable choice or took a risk and were dang lucky that we came thru it OK. She was young and young people just don't always think that something bad will happen to them. Don't those things always happen to OTHER people?

I'm just tossing the possibility into the arena that it could have just been something was quite innocent that convinced her to go. After all, she is the victim here. Wild guesses about sordid activities aren't helping ease her family any. They have seen a lot of those. The truth will come out soon enough and I will wait for that in this matter.

No offense to anyone's theories at all. We are all just trying to figure out what happened because we care and want justice. The thing is that Jaren hasn't been linked to any escort activity or extracurricular stuff like that. She had a steady man that she loved and he absolutely loved her as well. This has to be killing him. I think often of how much pain he must be in, especially people speculating and pretty much concluding that must have been going to do something really sordid.

Sure she could have used extra money but maybe more than that she was just a sweet girl who had a friend ask a favor (come dye my hair and makeup, give me a makeover, help me with this personal problem, etc). Maybe she just wanted to help a friend. Remember how sex offenders will use a "lost puppy" as a ruse to approach kids and disarm them (aww a lost puppy, we have to help, he could get hurt and need to be found, who can resist a puppy?). Who among us hasn’t gone out on a limb to help a friend?

I know that someone mentioned that she wanted to be a cosmetologist. Did she ever practice on her friends or family, and MAS and TS knew that? I just don't see them asking her to dye their hair out of the blue, unless they knew that she did hair on the side.

The articles I've seen say 'unconfirmed' and state that LE is looking into it if they were spotted or caught on video in MS.

I don't know about the video rumor, but what I'm going on is that local news stated that investigators believe there may have been a dump in the Long Beach area where underwater sonar tests and dives have taken place today. That was reported by several local news stations at 6 pm tonight. But who knows how accurate these media reports are? There's been a lot of conflicting and confusing media reports. All we can really do is wait and see what pans out.

The reason I ask is because it's possible TS was getting a girl for someone who was in town for the convention, maybe? They are long gone now. Just a thought. Come to think of it, it was an Atheist Convention at one of the local hotels!!!! Am I right on that time frame?

I doubt the horrible dye jobs were Jarens doing. This orange and blue IMO was a futile attempt to disquise identity, furthering my opinion of the stupidity of these two. Which further confirms that yes, they may just have done all of this themselves and their stupidity got them caught. Or, if someone else killed Jaren, maybe they were paid to dispose of the body.

I see, so the body (parts) could have been transported to MS the next day (some time on Weds.) or she could have been killed at a location near there. The head was discovered, along with some clothes, around midday Saturday on Long Beach in Harrison Co., MS. (Or on a beach in the town of LB?)

Saturday AM two pieces of leg were found in Pass Christian (Harrison Co. too).

Exactly. Seems to me if they'd been put in around the N.O. (some have suggested the Rigolets area) the parts would likely have been found spread over a larger area rather than that fairly tight cluster where they were actually found. The other thing, if they'd been dumped around N.O., seems like the parts would have clustered in Heron Bay. I don't know that they could have drifted far enough offshore to clear that 'boot looking' land mass protruding out at HB.

I could be way off base but that's what I'm thinking.

The more I think about it, the more I think a boat/yacht may be involved. You have the privacy to do the deed and no one thinks twice about you hosing off the deck. It also allows you the privacy to dump the body. TS brings her to the docks on the Lake for a 'party' and take off. The boat owner somehow knocks her out, does horrible things to her, takes her up on deck and kills/dismembers her and dumps her off MS.

Im just not buying they drove to MS.

I think the "window screen" that your're referring to is actually what they use to sift dirt thru looking for evidence.

These two are LOSERS. There is no boat because they are LOSERS. There is no rich man because they are LOSERS.

They took her over there on a whim and killed her. He cut her up in the water and she drifted. You can walk out on these beaches for at least 100 yds before there is a drop off.

If they were spotted, they would have been thought to be flounder fishing. I've seen that a lot. Flashlights looking for flounder. No one would have thought anything about it.
