Maybe, but then, why, proposition the other dancer?? I sure hope she isn't making that story up for attention, it could definitely throw the investigation off....

Also wanted to say, it could be possible that there were multiple dump spots--hence, the dismemberment?
 
I think they are searching from the Fartest point east back to a starting point around BSL
 
The more I think about it, the more I think a boat/yacht may be involved. You have the privacy to do the deed and no one thinks twice about you hosing off the deck. It also allows you the privacy to dump the body. TS brings her to the docks on the Lake for a 'party' and take off. The boat owner somehow knocks her out, does horrible things to her, takes her up on deck and kills/dismembers her and dumps her off MS.

Im just not buying they drove to MS.

Thank you :) I do find it really disturbing that one of the aliases Terry Speaks used (Leslie Rice) is coincidentally an artist with at least 3 paintings of dismembered bodies! I will not post a link here, but if you google images for Leslie Rice you will see what I mean.:what::twocents:

That has been my conclusion at this point most of the day. It is really not that far and no traffic at that time of morning. IMO someone at that location had money to attract them. I would suspect that maybe the killing was not planned but once she was dead they had to dispose of the body.

I figured it would just sink into the sand right where it was thrown in (assuming the weapon was thrown into the water there).

IMO yes it is very accessible and secluded. There aren't any stores down the beach from BSL to Waveland. Right in front of Bucaneer there is not a beach its just a sea wall. And there is actually an abandoned parking lot right there.

Just wanted to interject my thoughts. I have been lurking on this story for a couple of days now. First, I want to confess. I am ashamed to say my first reaction was " Well, that's the French Quarter for ya, not surprised. "

Now I feel like beautiful Jaren was my sister. I feel so bad for her brother because I have a little sister and I support her no matter her decisions in life. I know he felt he was her protector and now she is gone and he probably feels some guilt for not being there.

While I do have some theories on the crime itself, my main reason for finally posting on this story was to show support for her family. No matter her lot in life, Jaren seemed to be the kind of person to make the best of it and look to the future for hope. I truly grieve for the little girl she left behind.

That's my thoughts as well - specifically if the party was for real and things went wrong.

However, if the thought at the very beginning was a horrific murder (From the time they left with Jaren), then this might be a possible drop point, if we can assume that the river would empty into the Gulf quickly here, which I think it would (but I am no expert on this by any means):

i agree on the boat theory. you can hose it down. also, there has been a ton of rain in south louisiana over the past 2 weeks - pretty much every afternoon. i'm pretty sure it rained that day. don't know why that matters, but i'm just thinking a boat out in the rain

That's disturbing. I didn't look at the pictures, but just him using that name. Yea, he's definitely a serial killer then, don't you think? And it makes the murder seem most likely very premeditated. Maybe not a chosen victim, since they were trying to lure that other dancer, but they definitely had plans in place once they caught their prey. So sick!
