I just want to interject an important point. Everyone is, of course, wondering what ruse was used to lure Jaren away. Here is an important point. TS had reportedly worked in the French Quarter as a doorman, barker or something like that. So he was part of the "in" crowd. He was supposed to be a good guy, a safe guy who looked out for the girls.

He might have creeped me or you out with his looks but odd looking people are a dime a dozen in the Quarter. Lots of great people with the hugest hearts may look odd and work in the Quarter.

Many of the workers in the French Quarter have a bond and even hang out together after work. The guys often walk the girls safely to their cars. The guys who work with the girls in the places in the Quarter are seen as "safe". They are supposed to be the good guys. And for the Quarter? Well honey, TS actually fairly normal looking compared to some of the colorful people of the FQ!

So Jaren may not have really seen him as a threat, especially if he had his girlfriend with him.

Now based upon the report that allegedly one girl says they tried to pick her as a "treat" for him

* Crazy idea alert! A treat for him may have been a ruse... COULD MAS have owed a large drug debt?
The "treat" might not have been for her boyfriend, but perhaps for her "dealer" WHAT if her children had been threatened and a deal was made "If you bring me a "girl" I'll leave your kids alone??? Hence she wanted to talk to her dad to protect her children once she found out about Jaren's fate? and WAS THIS WHY MAS had such hunger in her eyes when luring the other girl?
and even offer another story and $700 dollars. She turned them down and so they had to go to plan B.

So if the first girl said "no" to their request, wouldn't they change it up a bit for the next person. Maybe make it less threatening and more profit? Maybe make just a friendly overture for a ride home so she didn't have to wait for a cab and pay for it. I am sure the cab fare each day was not cheap. So that might be an incentive. Just a casual ride home between friends could have been enough.

If the first girl is telling him the truth and had turned him down then that might have made TS mad. Maybe he was going to make sure the next one (Jaren) did not have the chance to reject him. After all, the other girl looked at him and turned him down. Sex offenders and perverts don't like rejection. So they had to make sure they got the next one. Maybe MS knew she had better come thru in getting his "treat".

So the lure could have been as simple as a ride home. Telling Jaren that they would give her ride home if she could leave then. Who wouldn't want to go home early from work? I don't think it was a busy night. So think about it. Jaren could work another half hour and maybe not even make enough in that time to make it worth working that extra half hour and then pay for a cab. Why not skip the few extra bucks she might make and eliminate the cost of a cab and get home early from work? Sounds like a win for me. I would be tempted, especially if it was co-workers asking me, not just a single guy but a guy and a girl that I knew.

So we can all come up with wild ideas on what it took to lure her but it could have been simple

Maybe they offered her a chance to dye their hair and they would pay her big money

* seems ridiculous! Clearly MAS knew how to dye hair! EVERYONE said they knew her to have pink hair... maybe she did have someone else do it! IDK but to pay big bucks sounds off... $30 $40 bucks MAYBE but NOT $700! However we have NO idea for sure the $ amount jaren was offered to leave. Maybe they just said lets go eat and then we will drop you off. Maybe they offered to bring her by walmart to pick up some stuff before going home to her fiancé. After all, Jaren didn't have a car so that would be a bonus. Save the cab fare and get things she and her fiancé may have needed at the motel.

So yeah, maybe they lured her with the promise of big money. They could have said they wanted her to do their hair and they would pay her good money. That's innocent enough, right? No obvious danger there, right? Maybe they said she could make more money doing their hair in an hour rather than staying in the club, plus would get a free ride home.

Ok so I know this was a long post and I appreciate you staying and reading this far in it. I don't rule out that they offered something less innocent than a ride and quick cash for dying their hair. Heck they could have said something stupid like $1000 dollars to dance at a bachelor party for an hour. "Hey, come surprise this groom, the girl who was supposed to dance got sick. It's only an hour and it will be well worth your while. It’s strictly dancing and it pays good."

I am not in denial and saying Jaren was completely without flaws and never did anything wrong. We all screw up and do things we are less than proud of. I’d hate to be a victim of murder and then have millions of people judge my life and my choices. Wow, you just don't know how I would hate that and all my history contains is being a school teacher, librarian and first responder. But i would hate to have my life and choices scrutinized. No matter what, she didn't deserve this, she didn't bring this on herself in any way shape or form. We've all made questionable choice or took a risk and were dang lucky that we came thru it OK. She was young and young people just don't always think that something bad will happen to them. Don't those things always happen to OTHER people?

I'm just tossing the possibility into the arena that it could have just been something was quite innocent that convinced her to go. After all, she is the victim here. Wild guesses about sordid activities aren't helping ease her family any. They have seen a lot of those. The truth will come out soon enough and I will wait for that in this matter.

No offense to anyone's theories at all. We are all just trying to figure out what happened because we care and want justice. The thing is that Jaren hasn't been linked to any escort activity or extracurricular stuff like that. She had a steady man that she loved and he absolutely loved her as well. This has to be killing him. I think often of how much pain he must be in, especially people speculating and pretty much concluding that must have been going to do something really sordid.

Sure she could have used extra money but maybe more than that she was just a sweet girl who had a friend ask a favor (come dye my hair and makeup, give me a makeover, help me with this personal problem, etc). Maybe she just wanted to help a friend. Remember how sex offenders will use a "lost puppy" as a ruse to approach kids and disarm them (aww a lost puppy, we have to help, he could get hurt and need to be found, who can resist a puppy?). Who among us hasn’t gone out on a limb to help a friend?

Ok, as you can see, there are many time I am not at a loss for words. Apparently this is one of those times, lol. Thanks for listening!

i am hopeful that the truth will eventually be known in this case due to the fact that there is a woman involved. she looks weak and easier to break than Terry. They said she cried all day in court. We have to remember that Terry is most likely the killer and Margaret a weak easily brainwashed type. Also, her avoiding the Mississippi police who want to interview her screams GUILTY. We all know NOLA PD are not the friendliest and are, well, a little shady for lack of a better word. They will do whatever they have to to get Margaret to talk, even if it's unethical.

MAS set this in motion for whatever reason and as of yet seems guilty!

Exactly how I feel about this...it just doesn't add up. There's a part of this puzzle missing and it's probably another person in the mix. Either that, or this was not their first rodeo!

*Could it have been a threat to her family? Or even to her and she was "treating her boyfriend by delivering another woman so that she herself would remain alive?

I know that someone mentioned that she wanted to be a cosmetologist. Did she ever practice on her friends or family, and MAS and TS knew that? I just don't see them asking her to dye their hair out of the blue, unless they knew that she did hair on the side.

OK! so lets say she did dye their hair! I have dyed hair for many friends... and what happens? YOU MAKE A FREAKIN MESS!!! (at least I do...) So lets assume she only had stilletos and removed her shoes. Jaren got hair dye on her hands and feet! it takes time for this to wear off your skin... maybe even other body parts not yet located. COULD that be the reason they have not been found? Because the color on her skin would point directly to MAS and TS? It would have been better for them just to "recolor their hair but???

Many folks in my neck of the woods (Tangi) have camps in MS. It would not surprise me if MAS's family had one too. There are about 14 people that share her last name living in a relatively close area in Loranger. Not saying they are all related but what are the odds? It would be a good guess that one of them has a camp.

I was thinking the same thing. We used to have a camp on the coast and all our neighbors out there were from the New Orleans area, too. Plus my in-laws had a house in New Orleans and owned a big family compound in Hancock County.

So, yes, it's very possible that someone related to the jailed ones could have a place they knew about.

What did other girls look like

I think MAS was looking for girls familiar to her to increase the chances of them deciding to go... had she waited unitl she got to Mississsippi she would have been a total stranger propositioning women unknown to her and less likely to have a woman agree to accompany the two!

Yet Speak's mother speaks out that she would not believe he could be in trouble....yet he has a history of assault on family members, just irritating...imho

Pure conjecture, but maybe Nand kept her mouth shut until the suspects were apprehended. Maybe she was scared of the repercussions if TCS and MAS were still at large.

IF LE was under reporting missing girls from the area, as close as they all seem THEY knew something hinky was up! Can't say I blame them for not coming forward until they duo was locked up. IMO they came forward after the video was shown and BEFORE they were apprehended...
OR it could all be a lie BUT the clubs MAY have video to back their stories up???

No i was about to tell him and he said The party is in BSL and i automatacially thought hum.....and it freaked me out bc at this point only the local news had been covering that a torso had been found in BSL.....so i was like oh ok then he interjected with i know its early (like i said it was 8:30a.m.) think about it and me being shocked said ok i will and we hung up....it just shocked me bc everything that was going on at the time in BSL!!

He took this name and actually was trying to use it the day of his arrest. This was someone from his hometown and he even had Identification in this person's name. It was identity theft. He did not make up this name out of the blue or for any meaning, he STOLE it ...cut and dry....IMHO

I didnt kno him directly but he said he had my number from bubbles who is a girl i did work with and bring home drom work one night...when he told me that i began to wonder if my purse had shown up bc oddly enough i had $600to in my purse that night and it came up missing....when in route bri ging bubbles home we stopped at the alibi a bar off of BS.....and i always believed she stole it but could never proove it. Anhow i did give the number over .....but idt it was taken into much consideration ...this is what led me to believe this was just a coink-a-dink! But im keeping a close eye on thos case to see if there was a possible third wheel to go along with these two scum baggers!! I am not sure 100% that the murder was premeditated. I think they wanted to find a girl to party with and have sex with, and to lure her away, they made up the story about $ for an afterparty. But I think that if the girl had just complied, and partied, had sex with them and not complained, she might have lived. JMO But I think Jaren really expected to dance agt a party, and wanted that extra money she was promised. And things went sideways when she found it was all a big lie.

Probably you're right. I was just speaking as if the same scenario played out with Shelia (?) as what did with JL. It may not have worked out that way, but it may have.

It's extremely rare for couples to engage in such horrendous crimes together, but there are notorious couples in history that have done just that. Terry Speaks and Margaret Sanchez are possibly among such notorious killers as Karla Homolka and Paul Bernardo and maybe even Bonnie and Clyde. Though Homolka, Bernardo, Bonnie and Clyde weren't known to dismember exotic dancers.

Something that has been bothering me is the fact that ts has failed to register as a so 3 times I think. How does that happen? After the first time they should be followed closer. What is the point of the registry if you expect criminals to police theirselves? I know it is an expense for the state and in increase in manpower. So I had a thought... U get several dwi's and u are required to have a breathalyzer on your car and pay it. Why not after failing to register as a so, you are required to wear an ankle monitor and pay a monitoring fee??? It would be awesome if something like that could be Jaren's legacy!

I could agree with u a million percent!! How about every SO have to wear one after being released from jail since our shizzy justice system seems to have so many problems with repeat offenders! Lets give them an ankle monitor to wear for life that THEY PAY for ...I do understand there would be an awfully high amount of monitoring systems needed and there would probably be a significant need for more LE to monitor and keep up but so what I wouldnt mind paying an extra tax for the management/monitoring of SO's!!! It's sad but true that we live in a country filled with sick perverted SOing MF!! Sorry but It really gets me rowled up and upset as i as well as hundreds of thousands of others in this world have to have endured brutal attacks from these creatures and most are repeat offenders! I agree that they would be more likely to sing if they were being shown evidence connecting them to her death, not just the known fact that LE has proof that Jaren left with them from Temptations. Pointing the finger at each other or at a third party (true or not) is expected. Not wanting to talk about anything but the weather suggests a strategy motivated by:
1. They don't believe that any evidence can connect them to the actual crime and if LE has nothing, they have to let them go. Grand jury may not indict with video only. The "rumor" of the Mississippi video may have been more for MAS and TS benefit than we know.?
2. Fear- Following instructions from the killer of what to say if caught OR the same thing can happen to you.
3. Following legal advice - make LE show evidence first. No productive jail house interview leaves less for attorney to battle.

I think next step for LE is to pair these two with jail house snitches to gain confessions.

If they are not talking and that along with most other things is an assumption then I would doubt there is anyone they are protecting. I can't see TS protecting anyone and MAS only if it was say family. That is unless they are thinking they can cover their involvement by keeping it simple as in they don't know anything about what happened to JL they may just be saying they dropped her off etc.
