That's right, because the first option MAS gave the first woman they approached is an offer of a threesome and when that was a no-go, they offered money. If there were really a party that was high-paying, they probably would have just put that on the table right away. Reminds me of what they say pedophiles do to lure a kid away: "Would you like some candy?" and if that doesn't work "Have you seen my lost puppy?" Whatever it took.
Everything from beginning to end was poorly planned and executed, so I think they had to have been under the influence.
I think there are plenty of abandoned camps along the rigolets, and if someone saw a bunch of blood outside near one of these camps, they might have thought someone cleaned some fish there. I wonder if the sanchez family owns any camps out there. Some people, even if their camp has washed away, still tend to the grass and chain off the driveway, and go down and fish there for the day.

As you stated so eloquently, they lured her in like a child molester trying to pickup a kid. I'm willing to bet you that they did not have $700 that was offered to SN - the dancer at Stiletto's. That was the bait to get her inside their vehicle.

I thought about the abandoned camps along the Rigolets too, however I think that would have been too messy to drive from Louisiana to Mississippi. However, I am thinking that TS was sitting in the back seat with JL, while MAS drove the vehicle. I think at that point when they were headed towards Mississippi, JL started to struggle with them. She knew that the party was not in New Orleans. That would probably explain the deadly stab wound to the front of JL's body. He would have to be very close to her to commit this crime. Not to mention that MAS would know this area better than TS, so she would have been the driver. She was also the person driving the vehicle when they were finally caught.

Then they found an abandoned place in Mississippi to dismember and dispose of the body. I agree that more than likely - MAS and TS were under the influence. JMO

You are absolute correct! The timeline always messes me up. JL was reported last seen at 2:05am in the morning of Wednesday, June 06 with MAS and TS.

JL's torso was found on Thursday in Bay St Louis before 6pm. Of course, her torso could have washed up hours before.

However that would be difference of many hours in between. Perhaps "Friend of the Court" has a plausible theory to add to this timeline. A possible party that they brought JL to - somewhere in this area??

I've been reading articles about body floatation and thought you may find it interesting as well in regards to factors that influence such as the temperature of water. And maybe when thinking about Timelines. I wanted to include Bessie's post #1202 on Timeline but was not sure how.

Clodumbo (another dog person, no less) I think you are wrong about her being stabbed in the car. They would never be able to get rid of the evidence in that case. I want to get back to MAS" alleged missing tooth. I bet Jaren put up quite a fight. I don't know why the press hasn't mentioned her missing tooth (unless we are all just seeing something that's not there). I think MAS was in on the struggle.

I was up late last night trying to figure out the Timeline. I think your idea of JL being enticed by the promise of money - would be the biggest draw. It was my understanding that JL and her boyfriend were having some financial problems, because they were living day by day in a motel room. However, I do believe that JL was “tricked” into thinking that the money would be provided by someone in Mississippi for a private party. ​

The promise of money and a good time - would be the “lure” of getting JL inside their vehicle and driving her over to the Mississippi coast. This could have been their plan from the very beginning. ​

When I was on my recent road trip, I had noticed that there were still plenty of abandoned houses and mobile homes, etc. due to the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in this area. I think you are correct, I think JL was murdered early Wednesday morning and then they took all day to "prepare" the body for disposal while they were under the influence of illegal drugs & alcohol, then they disposed JL’s body parts - early Thursday morning (around 2-3am in Mississippi.)

I don’t think other people were involved, because there would have been too many witnesses. That is just my personal opinion, but I could be wrong.

To quote MAS in her “own words” on the TV Show Final Witness:
"What am I going to do to get rid of the body? That would be anybody's first thought; How do I fix this?"

I agree that MAS and TS were left to figure out what to do with Jaren's body but what led up to that situation is still undecided in my mind. I have to think that Jaren was too street smart of a young woman to be baited or lured by MAS and TS, even with the offer of hundreds of dollars for a three-way party. Just the fact that she had been living on Tulane Ave. for some time and working in the FQ for a few years provides the tough experiences to help one know when a trick was being played.

I also think that MAS and TS were well aware that there were cameras up and down Bourbon St. and in every club they walked in and out of. Remember, TS had been fired from a Bourbon St. job for tampering with a video from one. I do think that they had another motive than the "party" explanation provided by the dancer from Stilettos, and I wish the video from that club would have been released to the public to show their behaviors before they approached Jaren at Temptations.

I still believe Jaren had worked "parties" before like the one MAS and TS were supposedly looking for a dancer to accompany them to. I also think she would have been very comfortable going to the MS coast for a few hours on a slow night in NOLA in the summer. I'm wondering if TS's treat was that he would get to participate in or just be in the audience of such a party and then leave with a portion of the money or drugs payed to the dancer he and MAS brought along? I do think drugs may have been as much of a motivator for Jaren at this point in her life as the money for her to accept the invite.

Whether Jaren backed out of the party altogether or decided not to give MAS's and TS's their share of money or drugs, or she fell into even more sinister hands than MAS and TS is still uncertain. But something happened that made somebody(ies) think killing Jaren and disposing of her body was the best way to hide it.

I have finally completed my &#8220;road trip&#8221; from the Silver Slipper Casino area to where South Beach Blvd and Bay Oaks Drive meet. After checking out several locations like the Clermont Harbor and the areas of Buccaneer State Park, etc.

I have came to the conclusion that the Garfield Ladner Memorial Pier in Waveland, maybe the spot of where JL remains were dropped.

Oceanographers studying tide flow and wind currents determined Lockhart&#8217;s body could not have traveled into Mississippi waters from outside the state in the amount of time between her disappearance and the discovery of her remains, Saucier said.

Here are some very interesting facts -

• The report from the Oceanographers.
• The pier location, it&#8217;s approximately 1.5 miles from where the torso was found.
• I can actually see the Garfield Ladner Memorial Pier from that spot at Bay Oaks Dr. and South Beach Boulevard location with my binoculars.
• I can see the direction of the water when I was on the Garfield Pier (winds were from the Southwest &#8211; same as the day in question.)
• The pier has numerous outdoor water faucets with garden hoses, even at the very end of the pier. This is handy if you need to "clean up" any blood.
• The end of the pier has deeper water which is known for shark fishing.
• There are no security cameras.
  [*]I only saw about 6 fisherman on the pier on Sunday at 2pm. Must be less people fishing around 3am during inclement weather?
• Admission is free and the pier does not have a Pier Ranger on Duty at all times. Their website has outdated information.
• According to their Facebook Page &#8211; Hours are: Wed - Thu: 6:00 pm - 2:00 am
• However, the stairs to the pier are not locked, so anybody can get access.

Finally the pier is about 1,000 to 1,200 feet long according to my estimates.

BBM Depends, I know a lot of people who fish at night because the lights draw bugs, which draw fish, and also a lot of people work odd hours. Also know a lot of people who go floundering late/early But I'm with you, I have a feeling it would have been deserted at that hour, even with that info. Thanks so much!

I've been thinking the same thing. I've come across some info for an RV park used by the Silver Slipper Casino. It seems many of the recent escort and prostitution busts took place at hotels near the MS coast. I'm wondering if the "party" they were headed to was at a hotel or casino on the coast. If so, the Silver Slipper would have been the closest to NOLA. Their RV park is not manned according to the RV website I checked. This or another RV park between Waveland and Bay St. Louis might also have provided water and seclusion for those involved in Jaren's death and/or dismemberment.

I still wonder about the number of occasions Jaren may have been escorted to a party like the one she was invited to. I don't think this was the first because of the money involved, and I wonder how many TS and MAS may heve been involved with.

I also wonder if some of the photos of Jaren on the coast offer any clues to where she may have gone with TS and MAS. There are some pics of her in her memorial video that look like they were taken at an RV park near the coast and then there are the pics of her with the Long Beach pier in the background. It seems as though Jaren would have been very comfortable accepting an invite to a location near those in the pictures-JMO.

I agree that MAS is a master manipulator. After I read your post, I started thinking alot about Middle Child Syndrome. Below is a couple of paragraphs from a parenting website. IMO the article described some of the behaviors MAS has displayed on TV.

What is Middle Child Syndrome?

Middle child syndrome is a condition in which children born in the middle experience feelings of emptiness, inadequacy and jealousy. It is also characterized by low self-esteem and extreme introversion, sometimes even leading to psychotic behavior.

The middle child, unlike the eldest child and the youngest child, is not given much attention. They have to go the extra mile just to get some of it. Middle children tend to be achievers because they need awards to be recognized by their parents. Sadly, this also goes the other way around, they can be very troublesome and determined to get noticed even if it means getting scolded at or punished.

Because they lack emotional support and guidance from their parents, they will always have a sense of low self-esteem. These feelings of emptiness and loneliness make them not very friendly and maybe even weird to other people. Most likely, these negative feelings will also stop them from pursuing what they want.

Other observable traits of middle children are insecurity and jealousy. Being raised in an environment where they have to compete for attention, it’s natural for them to have feelings of insecurity and jealousy of others. Meh, I'm a middle child, and I'm pretty secure. I became the wacky artist of the family, but that's pretty much the extent of it. I always doubt this whole birth order stuff. I really think it just boils down to the person. My mom was always supportive and we are very close. I was a little wild, but my sisters were just as wild, and we all settled down quite nicely. Never feel like my mom didn't love me as much as the other two. It really depends on the family dynamic. Just a middle child's two cents

But I do feel her Bipolar diagnosis and not knowing whether or not she took her medicine on schedule or with drugs and alcohol did play a part in her choices during her teenage and young adult years.

After much sleuthing, it would appear that the family dynamics did change with the divorce of her parents and remarriages but that still should not have lead her to make bad choices. Many people still lead productive lives after their parents divorce as well as those diagnosed with a mental illness. MAS could have followed in the foot steps of her very educated aunts and uncles as well as her extended family career paths. BUT she did not and she should now OWN up to those bad choices and help bring JUSTICE FOR JAREN.

I"m a middle child too, and not at all offended by the comments. I posted a while back about my sister, who is the oldest, and who reminds me of MAS. I think my sister was born with her brain a little different but I also think her mental health issues certainly weren't helped by my mother being depressed when my sister was a baby. My sister turned out to have a lot of attention-seeking behaviors as a result. There are so many factors that can arise to form personality, and much of our personality is formed in the first four months of life. Scary thought, because if your mother had postpartum you may have more issues. It also means that your experience may be very different from your siblings.

Decided to do a little more reseach on P.B. of the Atwood murders and just thought it was ironic that she met up with 2 of their victims at Hogg's bar (the same one MAS and Addie Hall worked together at. If the murders happened in 2001-2002 I wonder now how often they frequented that bar and does anyone know what year Addie moved to NOLA? I know she was here by 2005 but wasn't sure how long prior to Katrina. Also, according to zabasearch.com she also has addresses listed in Gulfport and Biloxi. Of course, don't know how long ago she lived there, just found that to be ironic as well.

I am very interested in the PB/Atwood case too, and I didn't know about the Hoggs connection. All of this seems to be more than coincidental. If you go to any major city of the same size, how many have recent murder/dismemberment incidences like this I wonder, let alone involving the sort of connections made thus far. I feel like i'm drifting back to conspiracy theory again.
I think AH moved to New orleans in 2004. She hadn't been here that long, although I think she moved not from NC at that time but from the Mississippi gulf coast. I don't remember where I got this info but it may have been from "Shake the Devil Off" the book about her murderous bf. BTW I was disappointed in the book and his focus on the bf. I think the focus was more on him because AH's family was not cooperative. My interest in PB and AH are more about how fragile women can get involved with monsters and lack a sense of their own mind
