Just listened to the Vanished podcast about Mark and came here to read his WS thread.

This is heart breaking. I hope he is found soon. It really sounds like he is out there and the drug triggered something in his brain.

Bumping for Mark. I'll be in New Orleans, specifically the Quarter, for the next three days. I'll have my eyes peeled for Mark everywhere I go. Hoping for some luck in his being located. Maybe someone unfamiliar will bring the luck.

Well, I went to NOLA so hopeful I would at least catch a glimpse of Mark, but I didn't have any luck. I spent 3 days in the Quarter and didn't see anyone that looked like him.

I didn't know this going down there this weekend that it was an especially crowded weekend for the Quarter. I went for a cheer competition my daughter was competing in. When we got there we learned that the French Quarter Fest was going on all weekend. The Quarter was cram packed all weekend.

I've been to NOLA many times and the only times I've seen it more packed with people are for Mardis Gras and for Jazz Fest. I wish I had seen him, but I didn't even see any posters for him at all - and we were ALL over the Quarter from one end to the other.

Yep. Very busy weekend here. Very! It Used To be my favorite festival. Now it's too crowded. Glad you kept an eye out for him. I can't help but do the same

Glad you're back! I was hoping to hear that you had seen some posters at least, but sorry to hear there were none. Still hoping he's somewhere out there.
 
His family still thinks he's being seen around town. I also see someone who is pushing for them to add him to namus. She's correct!!! He could have been found in another state and can't be linked because there is no namus file. Thus has gone on too long to be naive. It's time to put him out there as missing under suspicious circumstances. It's giving the police a pass to not investigate. A plan b needs to be put into action. Quickly.

Hi, Everyone... I am new to this thread but not to Webslueths... I run the social media pages for missing person, Stephanie Anne Warner.
I live in New Orleans and last night Marks father hung a flyer at my local bar. I didn't realize he was still missing so I came here to check for a thread. Great job on keeping this so active here!
There is a lot to read so forgive me of this has been answered before: The flyer states that Mark did not pick up his last paycheck. Can anyone tell me where he worked?

Not sure it ever stated where he worked. We know he was visiting New Orleans for a festival... I think from maybe Georgia? Also, we know he was into DJing, but don't think it was a career that he was getting paid for yet or maybe occasionally for small gigs.

Hi! I am also in New Orleans. How come I dont know that case? I am going to look it up.

About Mark--- I think he was living in NOLA, but just for a few months. He posted on Dec. 10 that he had a big interview on Monday (which I think might have been the 12th)

Yes, he was living in NOLA. He was originally from Georgia or Alabama and had friends from that area visiting him in NOLA for New Years.

Actually? this is actually quite insightful as a collective overview. I sense he was trying just to connect and find his path forward on his own terms, and don't we all, every day? DJ-ing would be such an awesome path...

Perhaps there was a let down or a disappointment, the vacuum gig speaks to having a safety net perhaps, or a ticket in the straight world, or just a paying gig. I wouldn't want to be 21 now.

I still haven't had time to study this thread...
But I also believe, Mark had just moved to NOLA.
I first heard of his disappearance after seeing an article posted in one of my private groups designed for French Quarter service industry workers. It had very interesting comments and dealt with the woman who was arrested (and released) after being charged with using Marks credit cards. I need to find this post... Meanwhile, I recall that she was a Bourbon st exotic dancer. This is why after I heard that mark was a DJ and didn't pick up his check, I asked where exactly he worked. Its very common for DJs who are new in town to take employment in the Gentleman's clubs on Bourbon because the jobs are a revolving door of plenty.
Is Marks Dad on here? If not i might call him, ask him about this and also let him know about this thread.. Word is Marks father has been to hundreds of bars posting flyers this week
..
