Well. What a first week. I wondered for months what kind of evidence there would be, and worried that there wouldn't be enough, it wouldn't be clear, that both the public and the jury might not truly know.

I didn't fully expect the darkness and callousness that the opening statements suggest. I didn't anticipate the overt nature of the love triangle. I forgot how sloppy and stupid the accused can be. I didn't expect to be thinking as much about Noudga as I now am. I didn't think WM had so thorough surrendered his home and his authority to the wants of his son. Those are the things that stand out for me at the end of week one.

Exactly Teal grove, if she had a mental illness and got help she could have done better. Here is my ideas now since learning of things from this trial. I think CN (Christina ) don't know how to spell her last name and I don't like to use the full names of the ones that were involved with accused. that she may have pushed DM to do something to Laura. I saw the witness today that said her and CN made a catty text to Laura and I loved that Laura had such a good comeback , but it may have also been what caused her death. CN in my opinion should be in prison. She is someone I think to have serious concern about. I am glad at least she is now known to the police. I consider her dangerous. I think that DM may even be covering up for her and it is my opinion she knew about Laura s death. Then the sickest part is she joined a group on fb that was trying to search of Laura. When DM was in some type of relationship with Laura , there are to my knowledge no evidence he was planning to murder anyone. Then he begins to date CN and suddenly people start dying. This is only my thoughts and what is some conclusions I have made in the past few days with a lot more evidence that was not available at the first trial. It is a travesty she made a deal to accept a less serious charge and IMO she should be in prison for a long time.

Regardless of anybody's opinion about Laura, its .her basic right to be secure against such an act. Who is to judge how she governed herself?

Shirinian also spent time with Millard through Babcock. She said in 2010-2011, Millard and Babcock were sleeping together.

SL and LB broke up around 12/2011. They had started dating 18 months earlier, so about 6/2010.

Don't forget the real estate agent. Was she in there someplace too?

She is an evil , evil person and dangerous too because many people have died since she hooked up with DM. He is covering up for her , guaranteed. I am so happy to hear that she is in the civil suit , god let Sharlene take every cent that *advertiser censored* has , all of us see that she is involved , but they let her off with a less charge from accessory.

DM met the real estate agent in 2012 and remained in contact with him until his arrest in 2013.

Whidden told the court that she and Millard met in 2012 when she was "cold calling real estate ads." She said their relationship progressed, but ended when he was arrested in 2013. She is on a court-ordered no contact order with him now.

Whidden and Millard met in 2012 during a cold call of real estate ads. Their relationship was professional at the start and she ended up selling an Oakville, Ont., home for him. They became intimate after the deal closed, she said. It was an “off and on” relationship for about a year, she said.

Tealgrove, what good will her testimony be? Look how she was at the first trial. She is a liar, and god knows what else. She knew things about the disappearance of Laura yet not one word to the police, why do you think that is? Maybe because she did not care what happened to Laura. This is a despicable, despicable creature, so are DM and MS but they are locked up she isn't. Hopefully, they will be locked up for the rest of their lives. Any ideas of some Halloween costumes for CN?

Noudga's friend is a jerk too. She claims that Millard was not interested in being Laura's boyfriend. Was it necessary to mention that, considering she's stilĺ friends with that other *****?

I noticed that Velma mentioned Karoline as if we should have some knowledge of her. The name is familiar but I can't place why we should know her. Was it in the texting while delivering the toolbox and moving the truck? I can't remember.

Her name was in the jailhouse letters from DM to CN when he asked her, and made suggestions about her whereabouts on May 6. Paraphrasing: you were at school, after that, I imagine you were with Karoline.

Another thought...I think CN has to testify. How can she not? All of this is swirling around her, DM and LB. Texts back and forth.

She seems to be MORE involved in this, than she was in the Tim Bosma trial. She's actually a centerpiece in this one.

I agree that it seems likely she would be called to testify. For anyone questioning whether this can be force upon her if she is out of the country (has it been proven she is?), I don't know the legalities of that but, it's possible there would be a study break and she would be home visiting (if she is even out of country) and could testify then.

IMO she wouldn't miss it for the world. She is every bit as arrogant as DM. Being the centre of attention, the one that DM wanted over all others (well, except for that gnarly real estate agent.) why would she stay away from all of that media attention? After his jail house letters promising her babies and marriage! She probably wants to show him what he is missing. It seems like this was some childish mean girl jealousy that got out of hand when the paramour in the center of it all was a sociopathic man far too old to be dating any of these girls. MOO

Sadly for SB, CN is a student and I don't imagine that she is has any assets. I wouldn't be surprised if her parents home wasn't remortgaged to pay for her legal costs (unless Rabbit took care of those for her)

Actually you have a lengthy period of time to collect after a judgment is issued. And, it'll probably be a few years at least before there is a judgement in the civil suit. It's entirely plausible that SB will be able to collect from CN after CN is an attending doctor with an attending doctor's salary

Ok so Noudga met Millard in Reno in April 2012. Around the time Millard wrote those texts about getting Laura out of their lives.
