I think we will learn she wanted a Jeep or truck.

Problem with that line of thinking is that while we know DM is not doing himself any favours by representing himself, why would he be suggesting that LB was trying to "manipulate" him into buying her a truck? That doesn't seem to be in evidence so why would DM be trying to drag that out of these friends?

"Orr says she only knows the detail of one sexual encounter - Millard and Babcock went shopping at Sherway Gardens because Millard "would pay for everything." The two had sex after in the parking lot, in Millard's car. "

Marlena Meneses mentioned that DM took her shopping instead of paying her for doing MS's dirty bathroom cleaning at the hanger.

So much for being "frugal".

And the Sherway Gardens parking lot must have been his favourite meeting place. :dunno:

If anybody mentions the TB trial it is grounds for a mistrial. Games?

Perhaps referring to this from today, "Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews
Michelski used one of #Millard's jeeps so clearly he was ok with lending his vehicle to Michelski, he says. Shirinian agrees."

Yes, SS, not AM. My bad.

Lots of defence lawyers grasping at straws over crumbling old vehicles in the pre-Uber days. I get that Etobicoke is not downtown but what the heck is wrong with taking the TTC. What a bunch of messed up, morally bankrupt suburban kids.

Because she's moving around town at 2, 3, 4:00 in the morning. Don't think the subway is 24 hours. Wasn't when I took it.

Or she showed up at his house after he refused to she her. Either is possible.

I believe I read in ABros tweets that she opened up, it was said in the Crown's opening statement that evidence will show LB and DM's phones were travelling together from the Kipling Subway station. So it appears that DM likely arranged to pick her up from there after she took the subway from wherever she was downtown after she left the hotel. There was no date for this occurance in the tweets.

Easier to get a cab then, cheaper than parking, and easier to manage with when you are high a lot of the time.

If she sang, she wouldn't be in Poland right now. Why did she keep the letters? Probably like any young woman, she loved him. Sentimentality. She likely didn't expect cops to raid her house either or else that video recorder would have been in a dumpster.

Again, what some may see as love with regards to why she kept that stuff, I see the word "extortion". ;)

My guess is that we are going to see a witness relate that LB said she was trying to get a truck out of Millard. Millard is likely trying to discredit that testimony by asking LBs best friend if she knew anything about it. He already knows her answer because he's read her statement.

Maybe, but he was in jail and if she'd followed the news, which she likely had, she'd know he wasn't getting out anytime soon. I think a bigger possibility is that CN was aware of TBs murder before it happened, and in case Millard tried to drag her in to it, she had the letters. To me it explains why she NEVER turned on Millard. If she wasn't loyal, she'd be implicated.

This is all so sordid and tawdry. Yuck.

It is not 24 hrs however with the $$ that she was making she could have afforded a cab..not that she had a home but I think that this needing a car theory is barking up the wrong tree. Do we know if she even had a driver's licence?

Maybe. But eight calls? If she was barking up the wrong tree, Millard simply wouldn't have picked up. She had something, and it necessitated she be gone immediately.

We don't know that DM picked up any of LB's calls, nor do we know if they were texts. We also don't know if LB threatened DM in any way - that may or may not come up.

IMO DM mentioned the truck/jeep because he wants to show he did not kill LB because she had dirt on him. He has "no motive" to kill her because LB did not know about the truck/jeep.

Which truck/jeep are you referring to? I'm trying to follow DM's line of questioning but honestly have no idea where he is going with it......TB's truck was stolen in May 2013 and LB was (likely) killed in July 2012.....

After reading that timeline from the TB case, wow. CN definitely was guilty, how in the h did she get off so easy. Our justice system is a joke.

Yep. And she somehow managed to get herself a top Toronto lawyer to get her out of her mess even though her family is not considered wealthy. Plus we still haven't found out how those letters were being removed from the jail. CN has a LOT of incriminating info. On more than just DM IMO.

I can't see a girl in the escort business wanting/needing a vehicle being interested in a truck or a jeep.
