I would think that with the opportunities that create the potential to play "he did it" /"she did it"

George and Cindy would also have separate attorneys.

In short, People accused, or worried about negative ramifications of an ongoing criminal investigation generally need separate lawyers because the potential for conflict is so great.

I wonder if John Walsh's brother needed an attorney way back when.(?) People without money retain counsel because they need it. Not because they don't want media attention. This is turning out precisely how I thought it would. Very, very interesting, indeed.

I think it's interesting that Lee separated himself from his parents by hiring his own attorney. It seems like they're on the outs.

Ahh, now I see. Even the Ramsey Family had a separate attorney representing Burke so I'm guessing this isn't any different. Thanks!

I posted this on another thread but I think it applies here. This defense team is prepared to take the position that KC was "insane" due to the dysfunction of the family unit. Everything about this family will come out, including the alleged incest. They all need attorneys. This case will ultimately rest on KC v. the A's. She has no other choice but to turn against them, the evidence against her is too overwhelming. The powerhouse of lawyers she has will never throw the Zanny theory to a jury. That would be dangerous.

A lot of people have posted that an insanity plea would not do KC any good but, I've always thought it would be a better defense than the kidnapping one.

I just think whatever the reason is for Lee to hire an attorney, he did so because him and his parents know something is about to go down. Maybe either KC's defense is making claims against them or there is talk about LE charging them. Getting an attorney on the day the remains are identified makes me wonder about all of this.

I agree he's hiding something..just not of incestual nature...just think hes a creepy guy who has a bad case of "Little Man syndrome"....he may have participated in the after death..I doubt it. I think KC & CA told him what happened (accidential)...but not to sound harsh, he appears to be another example of the fine parenting Momma & Poppa A did...he's late 20's, no real direction, no college, no goals he working towards (e.g; junior partner trying to make partner in CPA, law, etc)..really appears to have "no sense of urgency"..I think he's a an opportunist who has spent alot of his life waiting for KC's mistakes then saying "lookie me mom and dad...how good I am..etc" He's eating up the role of the "solver" and "big man on campus"

No doubt he loved Caylee...I'll give him that.

This is very normal, a married couple is protected in a sense and considered one where Lee is concerned he does need an atty separate from his parents to protect him.

My thoughts exactly, I posted this earlier too, that he was a criminal lawyer so I doubt it is for any book deals.

This family has hired criminal attorneys!!! to represent them. Why does public opinion keep wanting to give the A's benefit of the doubt. It may be politically correct but realistically it is in our face that once again things with that family are so skewed.

I believe Lee was born in 1982, and KC was born in March of '85, if I remember correctly. So they are about three years apart.

Actually, KC was born in March of '86.

Forgive me if this has been addressed already but why does Lee need a separate attorney from his parents?

He is absolutely "scared", he is hiding something or does not want to answer LE's questions. "Gimme Immunity!!.

Also, maybe the best reason is for self protection. Remember, "from day one", KC has been pointing the blame around. CA has done more than her share, of placing blame on innocent people, for Ex: Zanny, Amy, Jesse, Tony and the list goes on and on. Do you think Momma wouldn't throw son Lee under the bus to save KC? I believe they (CA & GA and LA) have somewhat parted ways, as LA became quite scarse a few months ago.

O/T What pissed me off, well, one of the things, is LA rudely removing the flowers, teddy bears and memorial made to Caylee out of love and concern.

I haven't really bought in to the "LA dad" theory. But I do wonder what he thought about KC's remarks in the last doc dump about him making sexual advances towards KC. That would be enough for me to hire a lawyer!!

I also wonder why no one in the A family (or lawyers) has addressed the allegations of abuse and incest, yet. The rumors of LA being the dad have been out there for a while.
