I had the feeling when I read that information that George may have been the one who requested he be notified first. He said the same thing to LE. He wanted to know before his wife found out. Said she would not react well.

You wanna know who came to my mind immediately? The Milsteads

I'm new here . . . can someone please tell me who Joy W is? I've followed this case from the begining and don't recall ever hearing that name. Thanks!

JW is a woman who injected herself into the case early on in various ways. She was disruptive at the Econ River search, one of the TES searches (IIRC), the remains site, etc.

Not someone who appears to truly understand or want justice for Caylee, IMO.

After reading all of DCasey's interview, one thing stood out to me regarding the possibility of who sent this letter.

On the night that the Anthony's were staying at the Ritz, DCasey and JHoover were also staying there. At some point after 11pm, Cindy received a phone call from John Allen telling her that someone needed to go to the house to lock it up, as they were done with the search warrant. JHoover volunteered to go, and Cindy took him up on his offer.

During the interview, John Allen asked DCasey what time JHoover got back to the hotel, and DCasey responded that it was sometime around 3am.

Now why on earth would it take JHoover nearly 4 hours to go to the Anthony home to lock it up UNLESS he was doing some snooping around?

Could JHoover have possibly come across this letter while he was at the Anthony home and then sent it anonymously to LE?

LP gave the information about the video to WFTV.

Ah...that's right! Thanks Chilly! I've been gone all day and this has been on my mind. I have a lot of catching up to do, but that answers that question!

Well that is certainly a very good possibility! Hummm....

This is exactly who I am thinking mailed the letter anonymously.
George, Cindy, and the P.I.s Casey and Hoover were at the Ritz from Dec. 11-14th. LE received the copy of the letter that was originally addressed to Lee on Dec. 15th.

Hoover had the opportunity to find this letter and copy it. He may have taken up some of the 4 hours to go to his office or home and print or scan the letter on his own equipment?

It may have been a letter from the out of state psychic - who seemed to have some connection to P.I. Casey (and Hoover) - so maybe Hoover thought he was "helping" the Anthonys by mailing a letter from this psychic who said she was on the phone with P.I. Casey telling him where to look for the body .... but "no body was found" ......

The A's were only at the Ritz for one night.

news article:

An ABC producer paid for George and Cindy Anthony to stay at one of Central Florida's most expensive hotels for three days in December after their missing granddaughter's remains were found, according to newly released testimony.

The couple stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando Grande Lakes from Dec. 11 to Dec. 14 after Caylee's remains were found near their home. The company that footed the bill is owned by Disney.

The new details were part of an interview of Anthony family private investigator Dominic Casey that was taken on Jan. 7 by Orange County sheriff's Sgt. John Allen and FBI Agent Nick Savage.

The producer, a woman named Kaitlyn Folmer, made arrangements with then-Anthony spokeswoman Michelle Bart to put up the couple and two of their investigators at the hotel. Rooms at the hotel can cost between $249 and $739 per night, depending on the level of luxury.

The judge overseeing the case against Casey Anthony released Casey's 80-page transcript. Casey once worked for attorney Jose Baez.

Judge Stan Strickland reviewed the transcript and found it contained no privileged information.

Included in the transcript were details of the Anthony family's activities the hours and days following the discovery of Caylee's remains.

The family dined at a restaurant inside the hotel the night of the discovery, according to the transcript. Meanwhile, dozens of Orange County sheriff's investigators, FBI agents and crime scene technicians sifted through dirt, leaves and underbrush for Caylee's skeletal remains.

George and Cindy dined with Lee Anthony, his girlfriend Mallory Parker, private investigators Dominic Casey and James Hoover and the ABC producer. At one point, Casey Anthony's attorney Jose Baez joined the group, according to the Casey's statement. It's unclear who paid for the meal.

Lee Anthony ordered a steak for Baez who joined them for about a half hour, the document said. He had just visited Casey Anthony in the jail and wanted to speak with the family, Casey said. The dinner was somber, Casey said.

Folmer allegedly told the Anthonys and the private investigators that she was not there to get a story. During an interview Casey told Sgt. John Allen and FBI Agent Nick Savage that he didn't believe the woman.

"She never talked about money. She never talked about pictures, videos. She did make the point to say… 'You know there's no ulterior motive here. We're, we're just doing this,'" Casey said. "I'm like, 'Yeah, right. I can believe that one.'"

Later that night while Orange County detectives were executing a search warrant at the home on Hopespring Drive, Cindy Anthony sat outside the entrance to the hotel with Casey, record show. Private investigator Hoover was sent to the house to lock it up after the first search warrant was executed.

The following day, while investigators continued to scour the woods for remains, Casey joined George and Cindy Anthony as they walked around the golf course at the hotel, reports show.

Casey said the Anthonys were distraught.

Wow, I was on this thread earlier with no idea who could have written or sent this letter, read through the DC interview w/ LE and came back. Now it seems more than clear that JH could have very well done this ! He was the one to come out with the video, yes he did contact WFTV, but he also gave a voluntary statement to LE in his Atty's office. My vote is for JH !

But who sent the letter to Lee? Thats what I want to know!

That, and what was in the letter?
Just guessing, but maybe something to do with the "tip" and any knowledge about what was in the area of Suburban Dr. Seems to be quite a bit of activity around this time on Suburban, and I doubt DC and JH were the only ones who knew about it being the possible sight of Caylee's remains. Just a thought.

Bump...
Does anyone else feel a connection on this "letter" and the "tip" DC received that he says was the psychic. It has been discussed the coincidence in the timing of this item being in this doc dump, the PI tape, etc etc etc.

Is the person who told DC not to call 911 revealed in this letter or in some way connects it? Just a thought I can't shake. Thoughts?

Ok....here's my speculation on it.

It's weird that this pops up in the middle of a forensics report that has nothing to do with anything.

How about this theory. KC sent a letter to Lee A. describing exactly where she dumped the body. The letter is hand delivered to Lee via JB (possibly DC or JH). The letter is in the Hopespring house, it is shown to CA, she sends DC and JH on a mission to find the body on 11/15/08. Someone got a hold of the letter and photocopied it (maybe DC, more likely JH, maybe Mallory or even GA). They send the letter anonymously to OCSO and a person in the media (say Kathi B). OCSO calls KB and asks her to keep the letter quiet for a while (she complies cause she doesn't want her career going down in flames for one scoop). Now notice who JH went to with the tape....WFTV...legal analyst BIll Sheaffer. It all adds up, the only problem is proving it without seeing the letter.

That's my theory....tear it apart!

I completely see this theory panning out - and the "C.M.A." in the eulogy at Caylee's memorial spoken by Lee is that "CMA I will always keep my promise" - perhaps with regards to not ever telling about her confession, though someone found it and leaked it to other sources (GA, IMO)

I wonder if it was sent to "LEE" or "LE" (as in law enforcement). I know the report mentioned "LEE," but maybe the original document referred to "LE."

Don"t think that JH sent the letter.

Reason being:

1. Caylee was found and immediately a search warrant was issued to GA & CA's house.
2. LE would have found the letter in their search
3. maybe JH did a bit of snooping, but don't think he uncovered anything that LE hadnt alread seen.

I do think that the person who "hacked" into Cindys computer and sent all of those emails out might be the same person who forwarded this information.. Lee???????

I think Lee was trying to find Caylee, in his backwards kinda way, by tryin to figure out KC's word games and clues. I think Lee finally figured it out and sent DC to look. Lee would't want to be the person who found Caylee.

I personally do not think KC has ever said , told or had any intention of telling anyone where Caylee was.. No way, no how!

If you think about this, from "Day One" she could have said, "Caylee downed and I got scared. It was a accident, really." If she had done that, she perhaps would be out partying tonight!

I guess she is not the sharpest knife in the drawer, cause she certainly should be able to realize that her actions will only make it harder on herself!

My bold: this is what I'm thinking too.

I also agree with your statement about Casey. I've often thought when her mom confronted her about the car being impounded why didn't she act all surprised and worried, saying she had lent the car to zanny to take Caylee to Disney. She had no kidnapping planned.
