Back to the gun, does anyone remember when she was asked about his gun and how he obtained it, and she kinda stumbled around it, then said something like 'it's a secret.' Then later when JM was asking her about the gun being loaded, originally she said she didn't think so, then she remembered him loading it to take somewhere? Wonder what this secret story-line is?

Her stories and re-stories about the gun are indeed interesting, but not very well-baked, IMO. The gun thing is one of the very weakest links in her whole retinue of lies. She told the first story saying it was not loaded; then she had to quickly cook up another version accounting for its being loaded and lethal when it "just went off" on murder day. Did she think that no one would ever know about the theft of her grandfather's gun -- in the very house where she was living at the time of the theft?? That was a blunder of a high order... But she did the best she could to get around it. After all, she didn't even know her g-father had a gun like that. Gee willakers, Lassie.

Further, I can't imagine TA purchasing a weapon like a .25 caliber pistol -- many of which are considered a cheap weapon -- a "Saturday night special." We have, IMO, learned a lot about TA, and we know that he took a lot of pride in how he looked, the quality of his clothes and other possessions. His friend, whom TA would accompany to the firing range, said that TA told him that he was thinking about purchasing a gun & that he wanted his friend to help him decide what to buy. He also said with much confidence that TA did not own a weapon. And in my opinion, certainly not one like this -- it doesn't fit his style nor would it be appropriate for the type of target shooting he & his friend did together.

All, JMHO.

The entire gun story( stories) defy any normal logic. First she told Flores she bought a gun because she needed to overcome her fear of firearms. In court she testified she bought the gun to be safe for the gold digging camping trip and then suicide miles away from her family. If I remember all this nonsense, I am sure most of the jury does also! Right?
Oh dear but you're asking the wrong person! I'm totally discombobulated and still in my own little fog about version 1,947 of when she 'came to' in the desert! The jury's caught a lot that I missed though, so I'm thinking they're paying much better attention than me. I kinda zoned out on Day 3 of Prolific Liars Anonymous.

Common sense will hopefully dictate to even those people who have fortunately never been in an abusive relationship though that its a bit odd to go out into the middle of nowhere, as the lone female, with a bunch of guys she can't remember the names of after 'seeing what men could do'. How could she logically know they wouldn't gang up on her, disarm her, and use her own weapon against her?

It defies logic totally in my opinion but for those of us who've been there I think its part of what makes us doubt her claims of abuse. Just one, of a lot, of examples of very atypical abuse victim/survivor behavior. There is one woman I've posted about before who I met that literally couldn't even let women hug her because it would send her into a panic attack. She couldn't abide anyone coming that close. :( That's an extreme example but by nature, post-abuse, its very hard to learn to trust the opposite sex again, at least initially. You logically 'know' all men aren't abusive but your internal self doesn't always allow that logic to dictate. IME

A neat and clean guy like Travis wouldn't shower after whatever he and Jodi did in bed?

OK, let's go with your theory. Where, then, did she plan to murder Travis? If he was still downstairs in his office, or cleaning the tile floor, as he'd just assembled the floor cleaner he bought a few weeks' earlier, according to his roommate, what would Jodi do? Just shoot him with a tiny little gun? In a big area where he could easily run away from her?

Or don't you believe she premeditated the murder from the moment she staged a burglary at her grandparents' house so she could get the gun? And drove 90 miles away to rent a car. Dyed her hair after she rented the car. Borrowed two gas cans and bought a third so there would be no record of her being in Arizona? Why would she go through all that trouble after he'd just called her evil, a sociopath, and the worst thing that ever happened to him?

Help me understand how you think she planned it out, or didn't plan it out. Keep in mind that his roommate was due home at 6 pm.
Well let's see, they supposedly didn't wake up until 1 pm, had sex in his bed and did sex photo shoot, then sex in his office, ate . So yeah...think that was his only shower. Did she leave Yreka planning to kill him in the shower? I doubt it. She just planned on killing him. Dead. It just worked out that way.

OK - Let us look at ALL 3 (three) of JA's stories. #1 - She never was in Arizona (but wanted to see pictures from Det. Florez).
#2 -She was able to flee one of the intruders that had a gun held to the side of her head while she was on her knees but she was able to escape and run down the stairs and get out of the house.

Did she scream when she got outside of the house and beg for help from anyone?

#3 - She killed TA in self-defense because he called her a 5-year old and found herself "covered in blood and knew something horrible happened". (By the way, she said in court that Travis said I'll kill you bit@h AFTER she shot him).

Even in "self-defense", wouldn't you or I flag someone down on the road or go to the nearest telephone since your own cell was so called dead to find out what had happened to the person you were just supposedly accosted by?

I keep thinking we need to post a disclaimer with this article.

It's a great article, and well worth reading, but for those of us who avoid some photos at all costs (I can't even bear to look at the ones of Travis in the shower when he was alive, because I know what's coming), this article does include a small photo of Travis after he was found by LE. Just a warning. Also has that final nude of Jodi, which I could have gone my whole life without seeing.

"...a successful Mormon businessman from Mesa..."

I'm tired of seeing this. It was a pyramid scheme, a multilevel marketing scam.

It's a little like titling Jodi Arias as a photographer.

I think it is really strange about how she said Travis got the gun. It was his grandfather's gun. But her grandfathers gun was stolen. Too many grandfathers in the gun story for me

I love the Poconos! Had some great times at Lake Wallenpaupack, hope I spelled that right! Also had fantastic times at Tuscarora State Park near Barnesville. Family members got married in Sugar Notch, other great little towns. I'm a Lancaster County girl myself :) Well, now I'm a beach bummette, but you know..... :)

OMG, I went to Lake W as a young child (I grew up in SE Pennsylvania). I haven't heard that name in a long, long time. Small world.

Well, first of all, it would be normal for the lawyers to "rehearse" with their experts, although perhaps jurors wouldn't know that.

Secondly, normally experts are allowed to attend/watch the trial for parts that might be relevant to their opinions. In her case I would think that would include Jodi's testimony.

So you think the future witness was allowed to watch JA's testimony but not Samuel's? We are certain that the DT next witness has not been in the courtroom.

He WAS successful no matter what you think of the business.

ITA, and he wasn't "from Mesa." He was from California and had been living in Mesa far away from his entire family for several years since right around the time his brother was busted and used his name, I think.

Perhaps she would have been allowed to watch Dr. S's testimony also. Judges are usually pretty lenient about what experts can watch. Obviously if she was allowed to watch parts or all of the trial, she wouldn't have to be in the courtroom to do it, since it's all on TV.

OT...there should be a websleuths dating thread. Like eharmony or Christian mingle..

"Websleuthlove.com: where soulmates connect, fall in love and dissect crime scenes....":floorlaugh:
Not a bad idea!!!! No..really! Only here can I mention a friendly discussion about Bundy, Manson, and Arias as regards to similarities (or lack thereof) and no one will get freaked out....not exactly a topic for discussion on dates...unless you hold the same interests

Cat scratches her at 7:40ish of first vid, and her ex boyfriend said she had a psycho cat that also scratched her and she put up with it so that shows she was a good person. Cats scratch for a variety of reasons, but if this is two different cats then Jodi is a cat abuser and the cat is lashing out at her because she is either smothering it or roughing it up, or both. You know, kinda like she treated Travis.

Just sayin'

But he was successful..and it IS a business. MLM isn't a scam...like pyramids, but it isn't easy to make money. Ask my many friends who do doTerra, Vi Salus, Mary Kay, Avon, etc etc....most make little money. Some DO make money at it...and he clearly was.
