Ps not to be obsessing but this is the first I've heard about a birthday card JA passed to her mom and frankly find that suspicious. I was told in court from sources a lot closer that it was "papers" passed to Jodi's mom. Jodi almost never acknowledges her mother in any form in the courtroom so I gotta call BS on the birthday card issue but Kiefer reports it as fact. I'm following up on this today because if he's trying to put a minimizing positive spin on Jodi I got serious problems with that.

How about you sitting behind me last week talking out loud to another reporter about how "cute " you think Jennifer Wilmott is? Ya done gone and ticked me off now Son! ;). (Ice always wanted to use that "son" thing in a sentence).

I don't know how you're able to deal with everything that is going on in this trial and still have a sense of humour at the end of the day. I should be more like you as this trial drives me :banghead:

You've got the patience of a saint!

Among this week's Internet scandals: TV viewers noticed that Arias took a pill of some kind while sitting at the defense table -- she suffers from migraines; they saw her passing something to a member of her defense team, who passed it to Arias' mother in the front row of the gallery -- it was a birthday card.

And it's an indicator of which way public opinion leans that the defense attorneys are escorted out of the court by a burly sheriff's deputy and Martinez goes out the front door, where his admirers wait with cellphone cameras and ask him to pose with them for photographs

Oh! And one more thing! I've walked out and in to that courthouse side by side w the defense team including Maria .....no security. One time Nurmi was mugging to cameras near the studio trucks..the week Nancy Grace was there so tons of fans on the sidewalk. On the street he chose to walk down. After exiting the FRONT door of the courthouse like we all do. All by their lonesome.

I think I cope because of a sense of humor but believe me...I get super pissed off at any number of things...and devastated as to what this family has had to endure. I blow off steam w humor I guess.

Would this reporter have been happier if no one reported JA , who self admittedly tried to overdose, took a pill?

Lovemaking…? Really???

Hi everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Snow day here, I told my son that between 1:30 and 3 and then 4:30 and 6 and 6:20 to 7:30 I am completely off limits! Yeah, we will see how that works out! Looking forward to more cross of Searcy Sr.

I heard that too. That is the main reason I joined this forum, although I had lurked for awhile. That was my very first post. I wanted to put that video on here and point that out that if the spiderman underware story were true, he would have said something like, but I like YOU wearing them though SOMETHING, ANYTHING!!! There was absolutetly nothing about them!!! And it was a sex tape/conversation! I was very happy that at least one juror caught that, because it was one of there questions!

When asked by a juror about why he would request her wearing Spiderman underwear when he said he didn't like the character, her response was that he was close to a little boy who was a big spiderman fan who dressed in the costume, seen the movies a bunch of times etc. Obviously done to further paint him as a pedophile.

I swear I was close to punching my TV screen when she said that.

so she can just give stuff to her mother? without it being okayed by jail personnel?

Sorry Kiefer (who is my friend). You got several factual errors goin on here.

A. He minimizes Jodi taking a pill for "migraines" like this is not a big deal. The story here is a prisoner is self medicating out of an orange folder...at all.

B. the ring tone was a cockadoodledoo. Yeah your donkey sounds more ironic for your purposes it's just inaccurate. I was there.

C. The vomiting woman was not "loud". I was sitting a row in front of you and closer to that side and heard nothing.

D. The juror questions were devastating to the defense. How could you not see this?

Etc etc etc

This piece is biased from the view of a burned out reporter sick of this trial. But it's not objective.

Sorry gotta give you a D minus on this one. I'm admittedly biased (translation not getting paid for an unbiased perspective) in this case but my courtroom reporting is more factual than this.

If Jodi had a ringtone it would be Anycockledo. :floorlaugh:

No one takes one aspirin for a "migraine" and even so, strict rules on prisoners and meds of ANY kind. She took one small pill she had secreted in a folder on the desk. How this is seen as "ok" is mind boggling.

Well, I have to say, Doc Samuels was very close to giving me a migrane :D

I do wonder though how come the migranes didn't seem to be much of a noticable issue until JM got a hold of Ms. Arias on the stand. Another one of those coincidences which seem to follow her like a fog...

It's probably because JM makes her shake like a chiwawa which in turn, causes her brain to scramble, and all that scrambling brings on those migranes. Apparently it's a process

I can't even begin to imagine how intensely you must feel their pain. Humour is a good thing.

Good morning, friends :grouphug:

Texas-sized prayers continue for Travis' family and friends. My heart goes out to them, wish I could hug them all. They all came to my mind at various times this weekend. Wish I could hug our court watchers, too; I am so very grateful for what you do for all of us here.

Do you think we'll have to wait until next week before we see "Alyce in Juanderland"? Not sure how much of her direct I'll be able to tolerate. Guess I'll find out soon enough.

Sent hubby out last night to re-supply the Reece's mini pb cups (but he got the small bag, dangit!:furious:) and cooked ahead for the coming week. Not sure if it's just me, but I find my sanity (and blood pressure) really needs the long weekends of this trial. As much as I'd like to fast-forward to "Guilty"! and hopefully the DP, this trial tends to suck all the stuffin' out of me so I'm not grousing too much about the long weekends.

Very much looking forward to the next installment of Juan kicking Samuel's hiney. Gig 'em, Juan!

PS- wearing a cherished pair of hand-carved elephant earrings in solidarity today.

Exactly. Who examined the pill first? We already know how sneaky she is. If she needs medicine it should be given to her from someone court-appointed. She should not be in control.

I have been just lurking occasionally the past days, and didn't see court last Thursday afternoon when JM got up. But I heard he did good!!

Please tell me Samuels is done and this trial moves on to another witness today! Yes??? TIA!

Boodles...Samuels is almost done. JM will question him some more today.

There are strict rules on this! And ESP since we had a defendant suicide right in the courtroom, on camera last year w a cyanide capsule...this is disturbing , to me.

BBM:
Ask yourself, "Why wouldn't she want anyone to know she was at Travis'?" Jodi had always wanted everyone that had eyes to see her with Travis. This was "her man". Look everybody! Travis wants ME!

But this time she was going to kill him if he didn't back down from that text on May 26th and if he didn't change his mind about Cancun. So it was to her benefit if no one knew she was going to or had been in Mesa, AZ.

She may have decided to kill him while she was in Yreka. She may have changed her mind by the time she got to Salinas. Then she may have changed it back in Pasadena. Then she may have decided to kill him again 30 seconds after he got in the shower. It's still premeditation.:twocents:

Yes, I know. :)

I cannot stand it when they imply that this trial is entertainment. For most for us it is about justice. Entertainment? Please. I get headaches and heartache watching this trial. I cannot wait for it to be over. Circus my a...

Exactly! And NOT TAKEN in open court.

Every time I hear Transient Global Amnesia, I think about world travel.
Where do they get these words anyway?

To me Transient Global Amnesia sounds like what a hobo gets when he falls and hits his head on the train tracks.
