Lori's Occupations

The point about the inlaws is a good one; if I didn't get along with my in-laws, I certainly wouldn't want them talking for me after my death. I guess them running off to get married kind of points to this, too; she didn't want to do things the in-laws' way.

Her former boyfriend did point out that she had a "lot of problems" when he knew her. I don't know that it could be as simple as in-laws causing all the trouble if she didn't know them then.

I wonder if anyone who knew her in her dancer life, even as Lori, would come forward if this was published in Dallas and talk a little more about her when they knew her.

And something I haven't considered, Blake Ruff, her husband also chose to run off and get married versus having a family wedding. Just thinking of the family dynamics involved, there had to be some issues here that could have contributed to the demise of this marriage leading to her suicide. Not implying they were responsible, she obviously had pre-existing and very serious mental / emotional problems that were not being dealt with by her or her husband. :moo:

Correction: Exotic dancer "Lacey", dark hair, hazel/brown eyes, ~ 5'10 (6'+ in heels), slender, worked at the Deja Vu exotic dancer club between 145th St N and Lake City Way, Seattle WA (not Rick's) from ~ 1985-1987 then "vanished" ~ New Years Day 1988.

Neesaki, I believe the comments about Lacey were in the original ST article comments and the link shown was just some general added info. They may have edited some comments on the ST article, but I remember seeing them when they were first posted.

I started to google to see where this information may have come from and found the following. It's about a missing DEJA VU dancer out of Bakersfield, California. Mentions a boyfriend, but who's to say this same guy didn't work for the DEVA VU in Washington State at some time, or there's not some other connections. Look at the last article written five years later. A Turkish connection. Did someone somewhere on WS determine A.L. was Turkish or am I remembering that incorrectly?

Apparently, these DEJA vu clubs were all over the place, Colorado Springs, Phoenix, Tennessee, etc.

Has anyone come up with a business at any of LEK's addresses over the years? What did she do after graduating from UT- Arlington?

We only have a couple sentences from one ex-boyfriend! No one else remembers her???

That guy apparently said LEK had " too many problems." I'll bet she wanted to get serious very quickly, marry and have that baby and that was too much for him!

Googling off what you had and found this:

Sally A. Stone, 21, an exotic dancer, was last seen leaving an appointment with her physical therapist on May 16, 1986. Her car was found at her home in Coeur d’Alene.

I can't find any info on her in quick search, just throwing it out there.

Found her, she's too short.

Bones were found on two separate occasions several years ago - but were only recently confirmed to be those of Nikooei.

Thank you. I wasn't implying LEK was that girl. What I was looking at was the DEJA VU dance place connection to Washington State. Possible that LEK started out it Washington State and went to the DEJA VU in Bakersfield when it got to harry in Washington STate? That's what I was wondering. May connect the dots a little bit with the birth certificate information?

This "lead" was posted on the comments section of the Seattle Times article. It did not come from any reliable source. It was just a comment some random person made on a newspaper article.

I guess I was confused by the Turkish-reference in your post. I understand now ;)

I did some research on the data contained in LEK’s resume. Here’s what I found:

Home address: 1978 Oak Creek Lane #16, Bedford
Seen on Google Street it looks like a block of low middle class apartments. If this is supposed to be the apartment where she lived with her husband, then they do not seem to be so well off as the Seattle Times hinted.

Work experience:
All the companies she worked for since 1992 are within relatively close distance from each other and in the Dallas area. She did not stay long in any job. Wonder why?

1992-1998:
She says she was self-employed. Meaning we don’t really know what she was doing.

Operating Technical Inc:
She was an intern there for just a few months in 1998. It is unlikely that anyone remembers her there.
Data about the company can be found here:
http://www.alocations.com/TX/Grand-Prairie/Operating-Technical-Electronics-Inc-443527.html

Highland Meadows Christian Church:
She worked there during 1998. The church has a webpage: http://www.mycompasschurch.com/arena/default.aspx
And a list of current staff:
http://www.mycompasschurch.com/arena/default.aspx?page=3734
Mostly young people but the pastors are older and may have been working there in 1998.

Arteriors:
She worked at this interiors design company in 1999-2000.
http://www.arteriorshome.com/shop.aspx

NCH: http://www.nch.com/
This is a large international company where she was for 2 years between 2000-2002 working as marketing associate. During 2 years I am sure at least some colleagues there got to know her more personally.

Keyautomation:
Worked there part-time from 2002 on. I suspect that she worked from home for this company given that the work was technical support by phone or online. The company does not seem to exist anymore or has moved. Company info:
http://www.fastreviewsonline.com/cu...on/texas/review#sthash.KjCy40uP.lnAGw4oP.dpbs

A person named Janet Reed is listed as the president of the company.

I am not sure the procedure for transferring posts, but thought this was important, from astrokitty, when I asked about dancing venues in Dallas : post 1256 in the long thread

Heavy money was at the lodge, who liked lanky, tall girls
Baby dolls, and the men's club and possibly Rick's.
income 800-2000 a night

There was a strip club on Greenville Avenue called The Fare where just the waitresses could make $200.00 a night, more on the week-ends. Our next door neighbor back in the late 1980's paid for a years tuition at SMU this way. The Fare was a walkable distance from the Mockingbird Street address she gave near Skillman Road.

What a fascinating case! I recently moved from the Dallas area to the Seattle area. lol
Anyway, there is a website called dfwnites has anyone posted pics of her on the entertainer search page?

Just wanted to say-As far as being a loner. I worked in many Dallas and Arlington clubs, not as a dancer, but a waitress, doorgirl, and housemom.
I was very social in the business, as you have to be.

That was 12 years ago, and people would refer to me as a loner now a days.

People change :)

Her driver's license from Boise, Idaho was issued 6/16/88-
in the photo you can make out a bit of a green and white striped collar/shirt..This is kind of an odd choice for a driver's license photo (she probably knew she wasn't going to be keeping it for that long) but just wanted to say the top looks to me like it could be a waitress uniform.

I think you mean 6/16/88

I wondered about that rather dull green stripe shirt too.

found this. What does it mean? Asian connection?
presidents of company are: Gina Chiu, Susan Greenwood, James Dernehi. Dont know when they started...here is something I found:
