I think you are right. I don't think he banked on the suitcase being found. Until he finds a way to get a fake passport I guess his murdering arse is stuck in France. I don't think you can travel from country to country in Europe without a passport these days can you? That was my experience a few years ago anyway.

If your theory is right, I wonder where he was going to return to in Canada? Did he leave any personal belongings in that apartment he was living in I wonder?

Since there is huge manhunt on for this guy, and he could kill again, I would think the modus operandi regarding the victim IS worthy of discussion. Is he kidnapping people off the street? Or breaking into people's homes? Or meeting them socially. The question is relevant.

Sorry Sonya...I'm not debating the fact that it is important to know how he met the victim (Kidnapping, Craiglist etc) because that is important...all I was saying is that I did not understand why you kept saying the victim seemed to be willing to be killed...at this time I kinda was shocked....

I would like to understand how the Canadian air security and flight manifests differs from what is required of flights originating in the United States; for example:

1. Does law enforcement always have access to the manifests/passenger lists of all flights originating in Canada the same way US federal authorities can search any US originating flight 24/7?

2. Will flights originating in Canada take off if a passenger has "checked-in" themselves and baggage but not boarded the flight? (In the US your baggage is pulled if you're not in your seat on that flight)

3. Is it true that Canadian citizens do NOT need to use a passport/go through customs when traveling to the United Kingdom or France? (If true: (a) Are Canadian identification documents easily forged/manipulated? (b) How strict is Canadian airport security in making sure the ID and the individual are one in the same?)

I'm not HeinekenMan but I can offer my experience:

1. don't know if they 'always' have access but they stated they searched the returning flight and confirmed he flew out (whether they were just going by the manifest or saw surveillance has not been revealed)

2. in my experience the stewards are very anal about making sure each seat is occupied by the ticketholder prior to takeoff - to the point of making people switch one seat even though they are family members BUT I have never observed the precise situation you describe

3. I always need my passport going through security & customs and it is checked so I'm not sure where that rumour originated

Yes, horrific. I don't know what security measures they have in place for government offices regarding mail/package deliveries. Perhaps they're only equipped to scan for explosives (??)

Thanks n/t, I'm not sure what the Feds do, wonder if it's online? For Provincial I understand ALL mail, including couriers etc, is xrayed prior to delivery, and stamped to indicate it was done. No deliveries outside of directly to the main mailroom, and the xray, are allowed. The mailroom then delivers the mail to govt offices. The xray would catch even somthing like powder that could be anthrax etc I believe. Made me wonder about the mailroom. It may have been the mailroom that caught delivery for any govt offices like Harper's.

A victim is a victim. This man was brutally murdered and dismembered. He could have beed drugged or not. What difference does it make?

A witness in Paris told AFP he say he saw police question the manager of the bar Le Petit Batignolles. Investigators seized empty Coke bottles, viewed security camera footage and showed the managers photos of Mr. Magnotta.

The Montreal Gazette reported the bar owner told a neighbouring hotel manager, Sbyibi el Bachir, about the visit. The bar manager, identified by the Gazette as Dominique Massonneau, denied any visit by police on Sunday.

Okay so I am never going to be able to catch up and read everything that everyone has read. I am so busy at work and I am trying to read bits and pieces. I dont want to watch the movie but I was hoping someone can message me the details so I have an idea of what he did. Whatever is said doesnt bother me I just dont have the time or place to watch it nor do I want those images in my mind. Verbally telling me is different lol..

I am going to have to go on early retirement to catch up with this case. You guys are so fast and you have such excellent sleuthing skills as well.

I was wondering as well as many have asked, How do I get to the deep dark web. Its interesting to me to be able to find stuff.

however, I do think they are harrassing the person - he may be connected to Luka but he is NOT Luka IMO and has no connection to the crime

I'm just catching up from last night but wanted to comment that I offered this link in the last thread. In my opinion, the number they are calling is that of a low rent male escort/prostitution racket that Luka was once associated with.The voices (both of them) sounded nothing like him, he has a certain cadence in his voice that was missing from both that answered the phone. It is not helpful to the case that people do this sort of thing IMO. They need to stop. I have told them as much in the other site.

The press mentioned that the victim and the suspect knew each other right at the beginning of this story breaking. It was soon revealed that the victim and the perp were lovers. This is not new information. He cannot be seen to be frightened at all in the video, he is BARELY moving at all. He can't see any EXPRESSION on his face because he is blindfolded and gagged.

Hi all, newbie here. I haven't seen this detail brought up yet so I thought I would just mention it now, am I right in thinking the babymaggie11 profile was a fake profile used by LM to drum up interest in the video on the 15th of May before the murder actually took place by creating this thread here?

I just had a thought about the "promotional" postings he did before the crime. If there is some sick individual in the world (Mr. X) who was seeking to hire someone to film a snuff film, who better to find than LM? He would be a great candidate because of his known proclivity towards violence and torture from the kitten videos. From there, it would be easy to see that he is a narcissist from all of the other crap he has posted about himself. In other words, try to imagine what LM would have looked like to us if we had been searching for him before the murder of Lin Jun. If Mr. X contacted LM to commission him to do the snuff film, maybe one way to communicate that the crime was getting ready to happen, and the money should be wired to LM was the promotional messages left on those two websites. I would be curious to see what was going on in the bank account of LM right before the murder.
