its already been speculated a lot upthread.. we will find out when the isotope testing comes back.

New here and don't want to butt in. However, I'm wondering if this child could be a recent refugee/illegal/immigrant/whatever you want to call them? I believe MA has been selected to house a few.

IMO, this isn't her. Giselle was already 4 ft tall when she went missing 2.5 years ago. (unrelated but that's really tall for a 3 year, btw!!).

I can't find Giselle in NamUs or the center for missing kids. I did however find a FB post that says she was recovered, but it's FB and not credible. I don't think I'm allowed to post it. I can't find anything official.

It seems Baby Doe is small for her age, weightwise. I keep thinking she may have been ill, but that would have showed up in her autopsy. This is such a sad, heartbreaking case.

I've always thought that was awesome and wondered why they don't do that with every UID. It would help solve many cases I think.

It's super expensive from what I've read, so I guess that's why this testing isn't done in more cases.

I hate calling her BABY DOE,I feel she deserves so much more, I wished we could come up with a sweet name to call her. Ya know...

I like any variation of Elaine/Elaina/Lainey.

In the Greek, it means "ray of light" or "sun ray." Could also be derived from the Welsh word "elain" meaning "young deer."

I also love Haven, meaning "place of safety, shelter." She is safe now.

U know I wonder the same about her being sick. But I do know allot of Mexicans that are small, and the children much smaller than your average white child. But I have been wondering about the sick thing. I also know that some things they know and won't release info. In hopes someone will come forward and know something that they know and didn't release..ya know I dunno I'm going insane trying to find her name and give this baby peace.. makes me cry. I keep thinking and wondering if it was peaceful, did she have comfort when she died, was she with loving people. Was she scared. I'm so upset...

At this point I would start with the census bureau. Based on the Target store located in Revere, and the Kmart located in Saugus where her blanket and clothing might be from, and the close proximity to Deer Island I would make an educated guess she is from Lynn, Revere or the Winthrop area. Looking at a map, it's really not that big of an area. Start with the latest census for her age and nationality. Start narrowing down. Red flags always somehow pop up. Cross reference family members criminal records and go from there. Anyone who can hide a child's body albeit has a record with something on it. I would also check out any daycares in that area. They will find this little girl.

Oh I LOve LOVE baby Haven. So peaceful. Calm. Sweet. Wonder if others on here would call her baby Haven, jus so she would have a peaceful name and labeled something other than just baby doe.

That Tobin Bridge - garbage bag full of fruit throwing. I really don't see how anybody could pull over safely, extract a garbage bag full of fruit from a car just for the sake of getting rid of some rotten fruit. Here is a youtube video of crossing the Tobin Bridge. There doesn't appear to be any 'pull over' spots.

Re-Homed child: Thoughts running through my mind right now is that maybe she was a re-homed child. Meaning that she was adopted maybe from another country by somebody and re-homed to somebody else and wouldn't show up on any I will just call them 'child tracking type systems' - daycare, doctors, hospitals, etc.

To identify a re-homed child could prove to be very difficult as all of this is done in the 'underground' I believe.

I know the pollens show that she was local to the area but how long would she have to have been in the area for the 'local pollen' to test positive.

I firmly believe that she will be identified but it will take time.

It was mentioned way back and very early on that maybe an appropriate name since she was found on Deer Island would be "Fawn" .... so Baby Fawn. Haven or Fawn ... the earlier name of Fawn never really caught on as Law Enforcement refers to her as Baby Doe.

Just really, really want to have a real name for her. It enrages me that somebody would/could just put a baby in a garbage bag and dump her with no more respect than somebody would give a bagful of trash or rotten fruit.

Being a teacher, we have started back to school, but even though we have kids on our rosters that don't show up we just naturally assume they have moved or chose another school. I don't actually know any school who contacts potential students parents to identify if they moved or are missing a child. So, unless this little girl was previously enrolled, and the teacher KNOWS who she is and that the family is still there then I doubt it would be an angle. Doesn't hurt to try and hope, but just think it's not something that would be caught.

Also, with her age it isn't likely she attended a public school yet, and most daycares are year round, so I would think that she would more likely be noticed as MIA long before school starts. MOO

Right ... Boston drivers. Have experienced it - was passing through Boston and got stuck in the tunnel late in the afternoon and at the tail end of a funeral procession to boot. Felt very safe ....... not. Love your wit and it made me smile which is a good thing amidst this case.
